1. Remember Me
Thai Drama - 2022, 14 episodes
1/08/23 - I really liked it in the beginning; it was a slice-of-life/coming of age story that seemed it would be great. As the show went on, I just stopped caring and became bored. I started skipping and I found a lot of plotlines to be either dragged on too long, filled with cliches, or eye rolling twists.
-
2. The Director Who Buys Me Dinner
Korean Drama - 2022, 10 episodes
1/12/23 - It could've been better if it had more time to expand everything. Things were rushed and not explained well; which left a lot of unanswered questions. If it had been more fleshed out, I think it would've been more enjoyable.
-
3. Cutie Pie 2 You
Thai Special - 2023, 4 episodes
1/28/23 - This should've been one special. It didn't need to be dragged out for 4 whole episodes. Like what even happened? LiKeua got married, NeurSyn progressed their relationship, and YiDiao were... there? Like this could've all been squashed into one special. This was bad and didn't need to happen. It was just painfully pointless.

4. Between Us
Thai Drama - 2022, 12 episodes
1/29/23 - Realistically, it's an 8 or 9 but I'm biased as fuck for WinTeam. What set it back was that there were too many pairings. 5 ships is A LOT. WinTeam is the main couple, but constantly had their screentime interupted by one of the many sidepairings. I'm biased all the way out so regardless it's a 10. I skimmed over the sidepairings and I found it extremely enjoyable after that.

5. The New Employee
Korean Drama - 2022, 7 episodes
2/7/23 - A simple and mature drama about grown adults. No unneeded drama for the sake of it. I think the best thing about this drama is that everyone really acts like an adult. No one is overly childish or dramatic for the sake of it. It's a simple and realistic story.
-
6. Individual Circumstances
Korean Drama - 2023, 8 episodes
2/10/23 - Well that was incredibly boring. The premise was good but the exicution left a lot to be desired. The leads didn't have the best chemistry and they just irked me the whole time. The ending kiss was a dead fish. A well written drama doesn't need a kiss; some writers don't understand this and write one in half-assed. It's not the worst KBL I've seen, but I have seen a lot better.
-
7. Ameiro Paradox
Japanese Drama - 2022, 8 episodes
2/18/23 - Well that was disappointing. The last 5min of the drama was probably the best part, frankly. The overall concept was really intriguing, but the execution left little to be desired. They grew close too fast, had no communication, and the "conflict" was dumb af.
-
8. Utsukushii Kare Season 2
Japanese Drama - 2023, 4 episodes
2/28/23 - The exact same feeling as the first season. The problem was that it felt exactly like the first season., except not they have a sex life. Hira is still treating Kiyoi like a god, when that should've ended during S1. Then the same argument happened again with the same revolution. It was a great sequal that gave just about everything I would have wanted and left a good space for the movie.
-
9. HIStory5: Love in the Future
Taiwanese Drama - 2022, 20 episodes
3/6/23 - Really sad that this is a HIStory series. This was a big disappointment. It started off promising but slowly became almost unbearable. The plot was full of holes and had almost nothing to do with timetravel. The romance, for both couples, wasn't that graet. The acting was disappointing and left little to be desired. My biggest pet peeve was that they brought back the rape- step bros as a cameo. Why did the writers thing that anyone wanted to see them again? I wouldn't say that overall I hated it; I'm just increadible disappointed. If there are any more iterations into this series, I'll check them out but I'll be hesitant.
-
10. Bokura no Micro na Shuumatsu
Japanese Drama - 2023, 8 episodes
3/19/22 - We need more armageddon BL's honestly. My biggest complaint is that along the way it turned into a Yuma/Megudo focused story containing a roadtrip bringing kids back home. I wish we had seen more of Ritsu and Masumi's dynamic and actually talking thing through. I 'm usually not one for open endings, but this one was satisfying! It gave you enough information to guess what happened without totally saying what happened.
-
11. A Shoulder to Cry On
Korean Drama - 2023, 7 episodes
3/29/23 - Two lost teens navigating life and finding each other. Both have their struggles and start to find comfort with each other. Psychological dramas are truely underrated, and this one is amazing. I feel that the last two episodes were a little rushed, especially having two 2-year time jumps back-to-back. It felt off with the pacing. If I hear one more person complaining about the lack of kissing, I'll scream.
-
12. Our Dating Sim
Korean Drama - 2023, 8 episodes
3/29/23 - One of the best KBL's to have aired. The plot was simple, but it was done amazingly. The chemistry between the two actors was on point; they weren't afraid to do the smallest of skinships which actually makes them believable as a couple. The only thing I have a problem with was the run time. Due to it being short, a lot of things were cut that made it feel choppy. The confession scene should've been longer. It just ended and the next scene was days later in a meeting. If it was longer, the confession (a vital part of a drama) could've been more satisfying.

13. Jack o' Frost
Japanese Drama - 2023, 6 episodes
4/7/23 - It was good in the meloncholy way. It had a compelling story with a sad overtone, but you could see that there was something good could happen. The more I got into it, the less it kinda made sense though. Fumiya wants to use Ritsu's amnesia to re-start their relationship, but he never crosses the "roommates" relationship. How are you gonna salvage your crumbling relationship if you don't try? Plus, the bumps that they had before the amnesia are still there? Like, their problems weren't really discussed. You also don't really understand WHAT happened during their relationship...? You just know that they were generally having a rough patch. I enjoyed the overall story and acting, but the few bumps in the road were really apparant to me every episode.
-
14. Bed Friend
Thai Drama - 2023, 10 episodes
4/22/23 - Hm... it had promise. It was marketed as a FwB situation. That's what I expected going into it, but it quickly turned out to be a truama fest. Uea couldn't seem to catch a break, that every single episode something trumatic seemed to happen with him Somewhere along the way, the FwB plotline just got lost and turned into Uea healing. Due to the many reshoots and recasting this series had, it looks all chopped together. Like, I'm just watching scraps instead of an actual finished project. It sounds like I'm shitting on it, but it wasn't bad. I liked it while I was watching, but it definitely isn't the 8 stars I had hoped for.
-
15. The Eighth Sense
Korean Drama - 2023, 10 episodes
4/29/23 - This drama had just about everything. What was great about it was the pacing, characterization, the fact it was about more than just romance, the topics and relaionships that are introduced, and the acting. What fell short for me was that sometimes the editing felt like it was trying too hard to be aesthetic. It was sometimes choppy or the colourization was distracting. They were trying something different. It mostly worked, but sometimes it didn't.
-
16. Our Skyy 2: Star in My Mind
Thai Special - 2023, 2 episodes
4/29/22 - Oh good lord, was this pointless. Nothing happened... it was just them professing their love to eachother 89 million times. This just didn't need to be a thing. The only reason they were added to OurSkyy2 was, for some odd reason, they're a popular ship.
-
17. Our Skyy 2: The Eclipse
Thai Special - 2023, 2 episodes
5/4/23 - FirstKhao have such amazing chemistry. I find myself smirking at the most mundane parts because they're adorable. I like that the story continued where the series left off, and we got to see them being couples. Though, adittedly, it was a little dry. The shortfilm was such a small part of the series that I didn't care enough that they needed to do reshoots (for some reason). I don't understand why Ayan pretended the whole time to forget Akk's birthday? It seemed like a cheap way for them to have a "surprise moment". It was good but OurSkyy isn't known to have outstanding plots either.
-
18. Love Syndrome III
Thai Drama - 2023, 12 episodes
5/21/23 - I went into this knowing it wasn't going to be good, but holy god was this bad. The acting, production, editing, basically everything just was not good. They couldn't even give Frank a decent wig. P was such a bad villian that it was laughable. Itt was so detestable at the start that I couldn't even feel bad for him half the time and Day wasn't any better. Even the wedding, that was supposed to be a happy conclusion, was annoying due to someone screeching in the background for no fucking reason. Just a huge no all around.
-
19. Our Skyy 2: Bad Buddy
Thai Special - 2023, 1 episode
6/5/23 - IDK man, I don't have much to say about this one. It was very PatPran dynamically. They're back at it with their love-hate relationship and, once again, competing. However, maybe because I was kinda looking for it, you could kinda tell that Ohm and Nanon aren't as close as before and that affected their chemistry. It's kinda nice to see PatPran during their "broken up but not really" phase, but I was hoping to see them out and proud. It was fine, but you can kinda tell the OhmNanon pairing is over.
-
20. Our Skyy 2: Bad Buddy x A Tale of Thousand Stars
Thai Special - 2023, 2 episodes
6/7/23 - Started out decent, a little dumn but I could get behind it. The first episode was basically soley PatPran while Phupha and Tian were having a childish argument. It was such an odd dynamic that I would'nt have imagined Pha and Tian acting like. Second episode was so fucking stupid. The whole episode was that they got lost, were found, lost again, and found again, meanwhile there was little story/character development. And at the end it was like they forgot that everyone is supposed to be a couple so they shoehorned in just cutest moments. I wanted to go back to the 1000stars universe, but this wasn't it.
-
21. Our Skyy 2: A Tale of Thousand Stars
Thai Special - 2023, 1 episode
6/8/23 - The conclusion I've waited years for. Almost everything about this was what I wanted. I felt like I was watching 1000 stars for the first time again. Pha and Tian and me screaming multiple times. The perfect ending to my favourite couple. So, why the 8.5? Cause fucking PatPran took up 15-20 minutes of the whole thing. They had their own special along with the 2ep crossover to deal with their shennanigans. I get having the play, it makes sense it'd happen in this episode, but everything else wasn't needed. When I enevitably watch this again I'll just skip their stupid scenes (oddly their only kisses happened in this episode? Not theirs? Okay.....).
-
22. Star Struck
Korean Drama - 2023, 8 episodes
6/8/23 - A strong start with a disappointing ending. The first half was great; Han Joon's pining for Yoo Jae was really well done.Unfortunatly once they reunited in college is where it downhill. I think it should've been a bittersweet ending with them not getting together. For the entire drama it felt like Yoo Jae was fighting to keep his friendship and not start a romantic relationship. Once he saw that Han Joon was going to leave (again), Yoo Jae just kinda gave in to keep his friend. Maybe if this drama was longer and more fleshed out we could've gotten to see how Yoo Jae felt, but as is, it doesn't feel like he's really that invested.
-
23. Love Upon a Time Pilot
Thai Special - 2023, 1 episode
6/9/23 - Seems like there's going to be a lot of ~drama~ in this and I'm down for it.
-
24. Two Worlds Pilot
Thai Special - 2023, 1 episode
6/9/23 - Pilot was a little hard to follow, but it's got me interested. I'm excited to see MaxNat in lead roles finally.
-
25. Love Syndrome III: Uncut Version
Thai Drama - 2023, 12 episodes
6/17/23 - It flowed better than the cut verison, but damn was this still bad.
-
26. La Pluie
Thai Drama - 2023, 12 episodes
7/15/23 - God it was so good until the last 3 episodes. WTF happened? It was a contender for best of the year and then it got all fucked up by needless drama. What a disappointment.
-
27. My Beautiful Man: Eternal
Japanese Movie - 2023
8/26/23 - Great ending to a great series. Sad that it's over, but it was wrapped up nicely.
-
28. Wedding Plan
Thai Drama - 2023, 7 episodes
8/30/23 - MAME tried something different and it didn't work out. It was cute but I was just kinda bored the entire time. The ending felt like a cop out? Lom didn't confront his mom or anyone. Most likely going to be hiding a lot of things behind a paywall b/c why wouldn't they do ANOTHER special episode.
-
29. Be Mine SuperStar
Thai Drama - 2023, 12 episodes
9/19/23 - I should've known this was going to be bad the moment I saw that it was from the same director as Bite Me. This was not good and honestly has very little redeeming qualities. The only decently good thing about this was that JaFirst did great with what crap they were given. Though even then it wasn't amazing. Punn is creepy and borderline stalker honestly. This whole thing reminds me of Secret Crush on You except BMSS never actually gets good. I couldn't care at all about the side couple and the "villians" were childish. I hope JaFirst do more things in the future together but this was just not it.
-
30. Laws of Attraction
Thai Drama - 2023, 8 episodes
9/19/23 - It plays like a soap opera with bad censored romance. You have guns, blood, death, kid napping, child abuse, but you can't show a proper kiss scene? Or anything that actually resembles that the main leads truely like eachother? It was good and kept me entertained but I couldn't buy the lack-luster romance when everything else was so over the top.
-
31. Shigatsu no Tokyo wa...
Japanese Drama - 2023, 8 episodes
9/24/12 - A strong and interesting start that was a let down near the middle. The most interesting part of the series was the first few episodes when they were reuniting and trying to rekindle their friendship. Once they got together it lost it's interest. The whole this is just convoluted with miscommunication that had me screaming. It had promise but it was short lived.
-
32. Moonlight Chicken
Thai Drama - 2023, 8 episodes
9/27/23 - When you have Aof as the director, you know it's going to be a good series. Especially when you have EarthMix. I would break the earth for LiMing and Heart; no questions. What gets me is that Earth is supposed to be a 40yr old? Like, alright? Also, I wish FirstKhao were capitalized more. It was a little disappointing that you only get a few seconds of them really connecting. If the show had maybe 2 more episodes, it could've been more fleshed out in areas.
Fingers crossed that Aof and EarthMix have another series is 2024!
-
33. Love Class Season 2
Korean Drama - 2023, 10 episodes
10/10/23 - Definitly better than the first season, IMO. I can fully see this series being a Korean version of HIStory where every season differs. All 3 main couples were different enough that made it interesting. One of my biggest pet peeves were in it though.... dead-fish kissing. If you can't actually kiss your partner than don't? A romance doesn't need kissing 100% of the time. If you're going to half ass it than I'd rather it just not be included.
-
34. Taikan Yoho
Japanese Drama - 2023, 8 episodes
10/12/23 - A really chill show that's easy to get into. While I really enjoyed it, my main problem was that it seemed very flatline...? The premise was that there was a contract between them but nothing really seemed at stake because of it. The worse part of the contract was that Yoh had to cook, clean, and be with Segasaki. At no part of the drama did I feel like there was anything at stake. It was just a calm ride from start to end. This show is compaired to My Beautiful Man because of the leads dynamics. While I do see the similarities, MBM had drama and climactic points. I'm not dissing TY at all, it was an enjoyable show. I just wish that something interesting happened where maybe they broke their contract or something.
-
35. Bump Up Business
Korean Drama - 2023, 8 episodes
10/20/23 - It was a little forgetable and played out like a stereotypical BL. Same tropes just with a different topping. It seemed like a cash grab for the fans. That's fine; I don't know anything about the group so it wasn't really meant for me.
-
36. Naughty Babe
Thai Drama - 2023, 8 episodes
10/23/23 - I knew what waas going to happen going into this. It wasn't great, but I didn't expect it to be honestly. The story was a mess. The "amnesia" plot was dumb and pointless when in Cuties Pie, Yi and Diao were pretty much established at the end... why why redo all of it...? I don't even fully understand why Diao was trying to ruin the wedding near the end. He told his dad to fuck off and confessed his love to Yi but he still planned on going to Switzerland? What for? It really feels like the author didn't have any idea what to do with them so he did this dumb ass plot for nothing. Also, I know Nat can act decently well but he wasn't great in this. It might be how he portrays the character or the director but it isn't doing him justice.

37. Method
Korean Movie - 2017
10/28/23 - And this boys and girls is why method acting can be dangerous and should be done with caution.
-
38. Only Friends
Thai Drama - 2023, 12 episodes
10/28/23 - MESSY MESSY MESSY but that's exactly what keeps you watching. Even until the very end there was drama. It was really good but at points I felt I was getting whiplash from everything that was going on.
-
39. I Feel You Linger in the Air: Uncut Version
Thai Drama - 2023, 12 episodes
11/3/23 - I was a total mess during the last episode - oh my god. I'm not really into historical dramas but this one was really good. Great acting and chemistry that had me feeling all the emotions.
-
40. Kiseki: Dear to Me
Taiwanese Drama - 2023, 13 episodes
11/7/23 - One of the best dramas to air this year. I think too much time was spent pre-timeskip developing the relationships and the plot that one the timeskip happened, it was all rushed to get everyone together and wrap everything up. Maybe if a 3-4 episodes were spent introducing everything, timeskip, and then relationships start blooming and whatnot it may have been better paced.
Second couple syndrome was real with this one. I just want more Chen Yi and Ai Di.
-
41. My Palpitating Life
Korean Movie - 2014
11/12/23 - Well that was just beautiful and sad at the same time
