1. Sweet Home
Korean Drama - 2020, 10 episodes
I feel like it's hard to rate this just based off of the first season. The drama itself was fast paced but certain things about the characters had a very slow build to them. The last episode was definitely my favorite! I did feel like some of the characters seemed a bit too webtoony but if that's what the director wanted then they succeeded. I loved how it was about monsters and that the monsters were complex in their own ways. I can't wait to get more answers!

2. The King: Eternal Monarch
Korean Drama - 2020, 16 episodes
This was a drama that I felt was better than a lot of people were giving it credit for. Yes, it was confusing at times because it had a lot going on with the parallel universe concept but I liked that it was unlike any drama I'd seen before. I thought the actors all did a nice job of portraying their characters. I think I would have rated it just a little higher if I had been more satisfied with the last few episodes. I wasn't bored but a few things felt a little repetitive. Shoutout to Woo Dohwan for Jo Eun Sup's character!

3. Cruel City
Korean Drama - 2013, 20 episodes
Cruel City was a drama that had been hyped up for me a lot. Overall it has an amazing rating and it also has a lot of nice reviews and comments written about it. The drama didn't really do it for me. I found it to be mostly boring and sad. The cast, on the other hand, did a great job! I think they're the only reason I could continue watching it until the end.

4. Irish Uppercut
Korean Drama - 2017, 8 episodes
Thought this was a pretty good time for a special drama. Special dramas are kind of hard for me to rate since they're close to the length of a movie but they don't really have the same structure as a movie, most of the time. I gave it a 7 for having entertaining moments but for not really sucking me in.

5. Run On
Korean Drama - 2020, 16 episodes
This drama has my heart! I cannot say enough good things about it! I understand that some people thought it was boring and didn't care for how subtle some things were but the pacing was everything for me. A lot of the time, I don't end up begging for more by the time I reach the final episode of a drama but I could have gone on watching this one for a few more weeks. I thought it was such a good time! I loved the characters, the romance between the leads, the romance between the 2nd leads, and the dialogue!

6. Tunnel
Korean Drama - 2017, 16 episodes
I felt that Tunnel was overall pretty enjoyable but it felt like something was missing. It wasn't a drama I felt the need to binge. I was hoping it would end up blowing me away but the drama as whole did not capture me as much as some other crime dramas I've seen. That being said, the concept was quite enjoyable. It gave me Life On Mars vibes, which is one of my favorites!

7. Life
Korean Drama - 2018, 16 episodes
If I hadn't felt a weird emotional disconnect to the last 2 episodes, I think this drama would have been a solid 10 for me. I loved Dong Wook and Seung Woo's characters and the rivalry they had! The suspense and the bromance were great!
-
8. Because This Is My First Life
Korean Drama - 2017, 16 episodes
I'm a huge fan of the hate to love trope, so this was a great time for me! I haven't seen Lee Min Ki in too many roles like this one so it was nice to see him in a romcom. I enjoyed seeing the characters' growth and watching the romance develop. The romance was very believable.
-
9. Kingdom Season 2
Korean Drama - 2020, 6 episodes
I was a huge fan of season 1 and I thought season 2 was even better! The acting is truly phenomenal! You find out a little more info on what's going on with the virus but they still leave you hanging in order for you to long for season 3!
-
10. L.U.C.A.: The Beginning
Korean Drama - 2021, 12 episodes
The first 2 episodes of this drama were nearly perfect for me. I loved the story and the characters a lot. After the first 2 episodes, the drama lost some of its appeal. It ended up being kind of mediocre and the storyline seemed repetitive.

11. Designated Survivor: 60 Days
Korean Drama - 2019, 16 episodes
I had high expectations for this drama based on the reviews. The drama wasn't as exciting as I wanted it to be. It's possible I wasn't in the mood for a political drama but the characters were hard for me to get behind. I really wanted to root for them but they didn't have very much depth. This drama did make me a fan of Son Seok Koo!
-
12. Oh My Ghost
Korean Drama - 2015, 16 episodes
This drama was very enjoyable! I thought it had a lot of really cute scenes. I liked seeing all of the restaurant staff interacting with each other. The actors had great chemistry! Also, you gotta love a character that can see ghosts!
-
13. Mr. Queen
Korean Drama - 2020, 20 episodes
Mr. Queen is a full package deal! It has lots of humor, a great script, great cinematography, great acting, and quite a few moments that get you in your feels. It took me a little bit during the first episodes to get used to the style of humor. I really enjoyed it and liked a lot of the side characters as well as the leads. Would highly recommend watching it!
-
14. Good Manager
Korean Drama - 2017, 20 episodes
Good Manager was an interesting drama because I didn't really care for the story as much as I would have liked but I felt like the leads really carried the drama. Namkoong Min and Junho were really enjoyable to watch on screen together. I really enjoyed their love-hate bromance.
-
15. You Drive Me Crazy
Korean Special - 2018, 4 episodes
I wouldn't say that this drama was spectacular by any means, but I still feel like it was better than some of the other miniseries I've seen. Overall, it's a cute story so I recommend watching it if you're looking for a little something to watch in-between dramas or want something pleasant to watch to pass the time.

16. Move to Heaven
Korean Drama - 2021, 10 episodes
This is one of those dramas that I really want to cherish for a long time. The story is beautifully told, and the characters slowly develop into better versions of themselves. Move to Heaven really sucks you in and makes you feel what the characters are feeling. I'm excited to re-watch this at some point because I'd love to experience it all over again!

17. Rattan
Chinese Drama - 2021, 30 episodes
Sometimes I get the urge to venture away from k-dramas and I'll watch something from a different country. The synopsis for Rattan was intriguing to me and I was looking for a new airing drama to watch so I settled on watching it. I really liked the story for a majority of the drama, but it doesn't take long for the story to get kind of messy and slow. I still gave this a pretty average rating (for me) because even though the plot was a mess, it didn't seem cliche. The leads had great chemistry together which made it a lot easier to watch. I still found the drama to be charming despite its obvious flaws.

18. Mother
Korean Drama - 2018, 16 episodes

19. When the Weather Is Fine
Korean Drama - 2020, 16 episodes
This drama was very cozy. It's not a very plot heavy drama which might make it seem boring for some people, but I tend to enjoy the more character-driven stories where not a lot of stuff happens. The characters were very cute and likeable. Being someone who also enjoys reading, I liked that the characters held a little book club with the other villagers at the bookstore they worked at.

26. Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha
Korean Drama - 2021, 16 episodes
I really loved this one! I liked that the drama was so wholesome and that it took place in a small town. The romance was really good, and I felt like I learned something from the characters when they experienced growth. Kim Seon Ho deserves all of the praise and awards that he received for this drama!
