MUST WATCH KDRAMAS ON NETFLIX !!
I had a drama hiatus for over a year and recently came back to see all these new masterpieces. I am willing to inhale toxic mold to lose my memory just so I can experience these shows for the first time again. These are my ultimate dopamine releasers. and they are all available on Netflix Canada!! Open to any recommendations and discussions.
My main crave: thrillers
My main way to cry: slice-of-life
My main way to feel happy: nosy neighbours that disguise their care by being annoying as heck

1. My Mister
Korean Drama - 2018, 16 episodes
It's been almost 4 years. I am still not over this breakup with the show. But somehow I feel satisfied. It's weird how much power this show holds towards me.
-
2. Hospital Playlist
Korean Drama - 2020, 12 episodes
How did they get me loving every single one of these characters.
-
3. Hospital Playlist Season 2
Korean Drama - 2021, 12 episodes
My favourite girl CHU CHU. She steals the show for me. Also the old grandpa chairman guy LOVE HIM. Pacing was a bit weird for this season though.

4. Squid Game
Korean Drama - 2021, 9 episodes
Why are people saying this is overrated, I think it deserves the hype it gets. Obviously not perfect, but it kept me binging the whole night and I couldn't stop thinking about it after. I also had major dilf issues here.

5. Kingdom Season 2
Korean Drama - 2020, 6 episodes
Season 1 was good too, but season 2 is where it gets spicyyy
-
6. Sweet Home
Korean Drama - 2020, 10 episodes
LEE DO HYUN--!! This man??? knows how to pick his scripts. Song Kang did a good job being the lead and saving himself being Bella from Twilight cus his character matched the vibes. But anyway, LOVE.

7. Arthdal Chronicles Part 3: The Prelude to All Legends
Korean Drama - 2019, 6 episodes
First 2 parts: grabbed my attention and lost me in the middle. Small spoiler: it's weird how they paced things and balanced the relationships between the characters in the first 2 parts. Nevertheless, the show got me thinking and world building which is so fascinating (especially the last part). I am literally abusing my google everyday trying to see if they are confirming a season 2.

8. Vincenzo
Korean Drama - 2021, 20 episodes
My dream is to live with neighbours as nosy and as hilarious as these ones here.
-
9. Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha
Korean Drama - 2021, 16 episodes
I did not expect this to make it on the list, but I can't stop thinking about how much the last 3 episodes of the show has affected me. I love the male leads and the supporting cast. URGH I ALSO WANT THESE NEIGHBOURS.

10. Extraordinary Attorney Woo
Korean Drama - 2022, 16 episodes
Gave me the BIGGEST heart fuzzies. Gosh, these characters are just amazing. No dull moment, no wasted episode. I loved how they tackled mental health issues and opened up these conversations to Korean society that is traditionally quite taboo with mental health. One criticism I have is how the Korean title is actually "Weird" Attourney Woo and not Extraordinary, so yes, there are flaws with how they communicated the representation of autism spectrum, but at the same time, it is a spectrum, and Attourney Woo can very much be valid in her own autism as much as anyone else's autism experience. Also, the dynamic of some character relationships seem rushed and weirdly put together, but I also think it's realistic since not all relationships in real life pairs perfect people with people.

11. Castaway Diva
Korean Drama - 2023, 12 episodes
It was actually super cute!! A lot darker than expected. But GREENEST FLAGS for male leads.

12. Daily Dose of Sunshine
Korean Drama - 2023, 12 episodes
I don't think I watched any ep without a dry eye. I kept crying cus it hit all types of pain and joy inside me.
