Good, but could have been better if...
Have you ever had the feeling that this drama could have been a masterpiece if it wasn't missing something? I have several such dramas and thought I'd make a list of them. It's a work in progress.

1. The Wolf
Chinese Drama - 2020, 49 episodes
This drama has a lot of story potential. The actors gave it their all and performed really well. Unfortunately the drama lost the battle with the censors and had to make some sacrifices and it's really a pity because it could have been a masterpiece. However, I can't blame the filmmakers for the censors' decisions, hence my high rating.

2. The Autumn Ballad
Chinese Drama - 2022, 34 episodes
A drama that had been just great for many episodes suddenly strayed from its path to perfection and gave us the last few episodes like that. Pity.

3. The Rise of Phoenixes
Chinese Drama - 2018, 70 episodes
Ah, why did the ending have to be so ... pointless and bland?
-
4. Gap Dong
Korean Drama - 2014, 20 episodes
Hmm, I'm not sure what this drama is missing? It's something about the way the pictures are shot, in the visual zone, which makes the perception of the drama too little cinematic and too much like cheap reality TV.

5. Ace Troops
Chinese Drama - 2021, 40 episodes
I can't shake the feeling that this is yet another drama that lost to regulation. It is so clear that all the characters have had certain plots cut out, certain scenes whose presence is, in my opinion, necessary for this drama to be a work of art. Because of these cavities, the psychological portraits of the characters are incomplete. However, there are a few scenes that shocked me with how well they were shot, and I'm referring to Gu Yiye's war experiences and post-war decisions.

6. Nisennen no Koi
Japanese Drama - 2000, 11 episodes
Almost perfect, but why do j-drama so often have endings that do not satisfy me?
-
7. Qin Dynasty Epic
Chinese Drama - 2020, 78 episodes
I can stand it when two uninteresting heroes discuss the construction of irrigation canals for ten minutes, but I cannot stand a forty-year-old actor playing a twelve-year-old boy. well, I am not able to.
