Dramas With Terrible Titles That Are Totally Worth Your Time
-
1. Drama Special Series Season 3: Adolescence Medley
Korean Special - 2013, 4 episodes
The title Puberty Medley doesn't exactly scream, "watch me" but it does make you question the writer's creative ability when it comes to titling. However, this 4 part drama special is easily worth getting past the cringe-worthy title. It tells the story of a transfer student who has moved schools so many times he no longer bothers to attempt to make attachments. Thinking he is going to move shortly he makes a set of decisions which he ends up having to deal with. It's a very fun, well rounded mini with a great cast and soundtrack. - u/sianiam
-
2. Mr. Sunshine
Korean Drama - 2018, 24 episodes
Mr. Sunshine - The title sounded extremely cheesy, and since it's listed as historical drama I thought it'd be full of cliches, bad acting and cringe worthy scenes, etc. It took me way too long to give it a try and now it's my #1 favorite show, love every single second of it.
It has its own unique charm since it's set in the early 1900, which isn't a time that I've seen in any Kdramas so far. Love the plot and the chemistry between the characters. The acting and cinematography are outstanding as well. It felt so magical when I watched it, despite there not being any magic/fantasy element - u/Ideasforgoodusername
Mr Sunshine - Though the show does highlight why he is called Mr Sunshine but show is too bigger than just the main character. - u/anamashrafali
-
3. Come and Hug Me
Korean Drama - 2018, 32 episodes
Come and Hug Me - The title put me off because I thought this would be very much romance focused tragic love story. In reality, the great thing about this drama isn't the romance (and while it's there, it is not too much in the foreground either), but the whole thrilling story surrounding the ML's serial killer dad. All characters (especially the side characters!) are very well portrayed and it's perhaps the drama that handled childhood scenes incorporated into the story line in the best way. - u/Turqoise-Turmoil
The love story in Come and Hug Me is also very good and I can not praise the actors enough in this drama, both the younger and older cast. It is rare to find such an amazing cast and it handles trauma and guilt very well. I was put off by the title for the longest time too. I happened across a snippet of a scene on DramaFever's facebook back when that site was still around and that's what got me to watch it, but would have avoided it due to the title - u/AlysssaImagine
Come and Hug Me What a horrible title! It tells you absolutely nothing about the drama’s plot or even genre. It turns out that this is a fantastic romantic thriller. It has easily one of the creepiest serial killers in kdramaland and starts with a horrible and graphic multiple murder. The uber-handsome Jang Ki-yong (from Kill It, My Roomate is a Gumiho, Search: WWW, etc. )plays the son of the serial killer who grows up to become a cop. He tries to protect his childhood love (now an actress) when the killer/copycat returns to threaten her. The bodyguard aspect is nice, and the romance is fairly angsty and melodramatic (in a good way). Kim Kyung-nam (recently starred in The One and Only) has a strong and memorable secondary role. Definitely worth checking out, especially for fans of scary romance titles like Flower of Evil. - u/setlib
-
4. Just Between Lovers
Korean Drama - 2017, 16 episodes
Just Between Lovers -The title put me off because I thought this would be a tragic love story full of clichés. While it is indeed a tragic love story, I was surprised to see so much realism in this drama. The focus was also much more on the characters than on the love story than I anticipated. It also went against quite a few cliché story developments, which was positively surprising! While being quite dark and sad, the story also offered such a positive outlook. - u/Turqoise-Turmoil
Just Between Lovers - The title here is more inadequate than terrible, really. It falsely suggests a quiet, intimate romance. However, the drama is about folks dealing with PTSD from a shopping mall collapse. So the title doesn't reflect either mood or content. I mean, yes, the leads fall in love, and yes, there are some things that they share together that the rest of the world doesn't know about. But their individual and shared journeys toward healing from PTSD are quite a bit larger and more dramatic than this trite phrase. - u/amnesiafakedating

5. Dr. Romantic
Korean Drama - 2016, 20 episodes
Dr Romantic. I spent months putting off watching this drama because i thought it was about a flirty, famous doctor and the way he romances ladies in his life. And i was far off. Lol. Such a great drama. Definitely one of my top 5. - u/MFlash08
Dr Romantic - Why?! Great drama but with that title you’d think it’s about a matchmaker - u/Flipperflopper21
Dr. Romantic sounds like a sleazy doctor and a more suitable title for a romcom. ? But yeah it's totally a worth your time & an inspiring watch. - u/scatterbrainxsushi
-
6. Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo
Korean Drama - 2016, 16 episodes
Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo - I just never gave it a chance because weightlifting and what even is fairy but I watched it a week ago and now my heart is all warm and fuzzy. I've never watched a show more wholesome and just so happy and good vibes in general. - u/aashita1401
Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo - It reads like one of those typical American high school rom coms and honestly it is a typical kdrama school life rom com but there is depth to each of the characters and not to mention the chemistry between the leads was fantastic. It's comedic, fun and heartwarming all at once. - u/lovelifelivelife
-
7. Her Private Life
Korean Drama - 2019, 16 episodes
Her Private Life - Almost sounds a bit ..wrong but no, it’s incredibly sweet and adorable. - u/msy202
Her Private Life - I always get weird looks when I recommend this drama. Then I have to go on to explain that the drama is in no way inappropriate. They could have literally used ANY other synonym of private. All in all this drama is amazing! One of my favorites to rewatch! "Her Personal life" would have been a thousand times better :P - u/cloudy_with_chances
-
8. Shut Up: Flower Boy Band
Korean Drama - 2012, 16 episodes
Shut Up: Flower Boy Band - This title is probably one of the weirdest drama titles I've ever encountered especially since the term Flower Boy has never really translated over to English very well. Despite the strange title though, the drama is a fantastic mix of youthful friendship (bromance) with that touch of rock spirit (and a nice soundtrack to match). If you're interested in watching a drama built on the beautiful friendship between some handsome young guys (with a nice bit of romance), this is the one for you. - u/bren42
Shut Up: Flower Boy Band is always the first one that comes to mind. Excellent slice-of-life drama from 2012 about a group of friends, who are also in a band together, that have something bad happen to them. Follows what follows. Great drama. - u/newgrl
-
9. King2Hearts
Korean Drama - 2012, 20 episodes
King2Hearts - This is another drama where I was just confused on why they chose such a strange title, but it does get the fact that there is a focus on love and royalty right. I love shows that do setups with modern-day Korean royalty since it is fairly rare and feels fresh every time I see it. In addition to a fresh setting and plot, this show has some of my favorite character developments (especially from the male lead) and relationship-building with lots of great North/South Korea interactions that breaks down international barriers and leads to a wonderful love story. - u/bren42
-
10. Potato Star 2013QR3
Korean Drama - 2013, 120 episodes
Potato Star 2013QR3 - it takes the cake for the dumbest title ever but it is truly one of the funniest dramas. It is long and it’s one of those that you watch when you want your mind lifted off things. It is literally a sitcom (I’d say like Modern Family? Or High Kick series would be a better comparison). I remember staying up to wait for subtitles when it was airing and if you are going through a bad moment in your life or you just want a laugh, this is the drama for you. - u/acuteaddict
-
11. Goblin
Korean Drama - 2016, 16 episodes
Goblin - In English, if you say goblin, you think of a gross, creepy, evil, monster. Even the dictionary defines a goblin as Noun: Goblin: A manlike ghost with a horn on its head that carries a club. Noun: a mischievous, ugly creature resembling a dwarf.
In comparison to Gong Yoo, that description couldn’t be further from the truth hahahah. So when I first saw the title I didn’t know if I wanted to watch a show about a creature or a man that turns into such a creature, but luckily it was not even remotely like that.
It’s definitely one of my most favourite shows, where Gong Yoo, Kim Go Eun and Lee Dong Wook all play their roles incredibly well. I know most people have probably seen this already, but it has such an interesting story and you’ll be emotionally invested the whole way, so it’s definitely one that is a must-see.
It’s alternative title of Guardian: The Great and Lonely God, is more fitting. - u/Unsocialbtrfly
-
12. Prison Playbook
Korean Drama - 2017, 16 episodes
Prison Playbook - Not only the title but also the poster and the synopsis made me think this is a serious law/crime drama. I can’t be more wrong. It’s a show full of heart at the most unexpected place. The comedy is also unique and it sometimes took me a few rewatches to actually get the jokes. It’s truly a gem that I wish I had discovered sooner. This is also my introduction to Shin PD’s universe. - u/tln96
I watched Prison Playbook before Reply series, I was almost ready to skip after the first two episodes. I'm glad I continued to watch it, (at that time I was mostly curious whether he gets out of prison or not, because I was still thinking its going to be about the court case and investigation e.t.c). Boy, it took my by surprise., am so glad to have had all the wrong opinions about it, because the surprise element heightened the fun - u/links253
-
13. The Smile Has Left Your Eyes
Korean Drama - 2018, 16 episodes
I think the first one that comes to mind for me is The Smile Has Left Your Eyes (Million Stars in the Sky). The name was off putting at first because it sounded tragic and mundane. And, although it has tragic elements, it's still worth the watch for the twisted plot (If you look for good story in dramas). - u/AngelFish9_7
-
14. XX
Korean Drama - 2020, 10 episodes
XX - Sounded like porno title. But it was available official on Youtube. So I watched it and ended up loving it. It's about female friendship, betrayal and atonement. Aesthetic and OST are the highlights. - u/RayInRed
-
15. While You Were Sleeping
Korean Drama - 2017, 32 episodes
While You Were Sleeping -I was putting it off because I thought it was an adaptation of Sandra Bullock movie. Because that movie had KDramaish plot. Glad I watched it. One the best combination of thriller and romance drama. Sleeping actually refered to the premonition. - u/RayInRed
While You Were Sleeping - I wanna start off by saying the title isn’t terrible but to me it was misleading. Everytime I mention this masterpiece to someone they think I’m talking about the 1995 movie starring Sandra Bullock lol. Of course when I saw the title, instead of that movie I thought it was gonna be some creepy horror about a murderer watching you while you sleep bwahaha. I will say that within the first 20 minutes of the first episode I had already grown attached to the storyline and characters and I was already laughing and crying. The first episode alone is a rollercoaster and I will never shut up about how amazing this drama was. I think it had everything for me— while it did hold some cliches it has the perfect amount of comedy, romance, mystery, suspense, tragedy and action that balanced it out imo. Love love LOVE this one. - u/mosiacsoml
-
16. Naked Fireman
Korean Drama - 2017, 4 episodes
Naked Fireman - I originally came across this while shifting thru Lee Joon Hyuk’s filmography. At first I was very put off by the title because it just sounded so dirty. But it’s actually a very sweet little drama where a fireman falls in love with an artist who has PTSD from watching her parents die. It’s a thriller, a comedy, and a romance all wrapped up into four episodes! It’s like a bite size piece of candy. - u/AnnaInspirit
-
17. Stranger
Korean Drama - 2017, 16 episodes
Stranger - Such an awesome show and such an irrelevant title - u/anamashrafali
Stranger - even the alternative title Secret Forest is kinda irrelevant to the show. I know they probably wanted to imply that there are a lot of secrets.... but it sounds like the show takes place in a jungle or something - u/michielim
-
18. Descendants of the Sun
Korean Drama - 2016, 16 episodes
Descendants of the Sun - The title made me feel that this was going to be about a family who were the descendants of sun worshippers. That put me off as I anyways don't like that historical drama stuff and plus this was my first ever Korean drama. After watching it, I couldn't have been more wrong. - u/SohamB22
Descendants of the Sun - I was expecting old times dated story line and scenes with this title. I love descendants of the sun because it fully describes the lives of front liners and first responders. Especially the challenges they face in their personal relationships. The actors also brought their roles to life. Huge , huge chemistry between the ML and FL . Even the second leads have great chemistry and story line. The first 2 episodes drags but when you get into it, it's a winner. - u/Chinememma
Descendants of the Sun - idk why, but in my mind it had something strongly Oriental in it and I had crossed it out from my list because for some weird reason I had assumed cultural differences wouldn't help me get it. In the end I gave it a try just because it was filmed in Greece, and ended up really liking it, because NO PRIOR CONNECTION IN EITHER OF THE TWO COUPLES, yes, writers, you can do it. - u/MALLY10FE
-
19. Oh My Venus
Korean Drama - 2015, 16 episodes
Oh My Venus - I thought it would a sad, soapy romantic drama, where the lead believes that his lover has become the planet Venus or something. Who knew that it would be about weightloss and trauma ?! - u/SohamB22
-
20. Crash Landing on You
Korean Drama - 2019, 16 episodes
Crash landing on You - I knew the plot summary, so it sounded so cheesy and ridiculous. And then I ended up getting more angst and tears than I ever would have imagined from this previously perceived as a 'romantic *comedy*' - u/MALLY10FE
-
21. I Picked Up a Star on the Road
Korean Drama - 2018, 10 episodes
I picked up a Celebrity off the Street - Terrible title but good fun ? - u/lykacl
-
22. Sassy Go Go
Korean Drama - 2015, 12 episodes
Sassy Go Go - Not a great drama, but it's fun. The alternate title, Cheer Up, makes so much more sense than this. - u/TotoroTheGreat
-
23. Boys over Flowers
Korean Drama - 2009, 25 episodes
Boys Over Flowers - the title of this drama give no insight into the story at all. Boys over flowers was my first ever kdrama. Its funny and the usual story line of rich boy and poor girl. There's also a triangle between the ML ( Lee min ho) , his best friend and the FL. The FL was a bit annoying. I like the friendship between the F4 boys and their acceptance and support of the Poor FL into their cycle. - u/Chinememma
-
24. Itaewon Class
Korean Drama - 2020, 16 episodes
Itaewon Class - It's not about a school in Itaewon. I put this off for the longest time because I'm not in to school dramas. Turns out to be one of my favorite dramas of all time, a must watch - u/sincityhunter
-
25. Cheese in the Trap
Korean Drama - 2016, 16 episodes
Cheese in the Trap - Like wtf it took me a year to watch it bc of the weird title. You just have no idea what to expect with a title like this, as it definitely sounds very very cheesy, but it's ended up being one very original idea where the ML is a bit of a psycho. So you really have no idea of where it's going until the end, and the FL has some personality. In my top 10 dramas after about 100. - u/BlueCatSW9
Cheese in the Trap was a really enjoyable one. Nothing to do with Cheese! - u/ElleReiChan
Cheese in the Trap - To be honest the title name sounds stupid. But it’s a pretty good drama. It focuses on the lives of people in university. Their struggles, the mistakes they make and how they all grow. The plot is decent, the characters are messy but also pretty real and the cast is also amazing. - u/Fatooz
-
26. Cunning Single Lady
Korean Drama - 2014, 16 episodes
Cunning Single Lady - both the title and poster make you think it’s about a gold-digging temptress when it’s actually a love story with a very sweet FL who has to struggle after her divorce, ends up working at her ex’s successful company and there is an adorable baby Seo Kang Joon who will give you SLS. Definitely glad I didn’t pass this one over despite that terrible title! - u/PrizeReputation7
-
27. Oh My Ghost
Korean Drama - 2015, 16 episodes
Oh My Ghost - I saw that title and was like “ehhh...” but I really ended up enjoying that one. It wasn’t a concept that I had seen before and it actually had quite an emotional ending for me. I also that the actress who played the ghost was incredible and diverse. - u/Corciaghmac
Loved Oh My Ghost - terrible title. Adorable show - u/katel1959
Oh My Ghostess - So annoyingly twee, that title. This is actually a pretty sensitive relationship story about one guy and two women. There are some supernatural hijinks that distract from the reality that he's one guy dating two women, but, yeah, it's as close to a threesome as prime time kdramas get. However, I think the drama intends to be innocent about all that. And it's a gentle, warm, ghost story romcom. What stays with me about this drama is its message about how the loss of a past relationship helps people grow and makes them able to come to a new relationship richer for the love they once had with someone else. It also feels meaningful at the end, when the characters change their lives in order to gratefully repay the gifts they've received. - u/amnesiafakedating
-
28. Man to Man
Korean Drama - 2017, 16 episodes
Man2Man- is it a superhero story? Some kinda cheesy love story? A bromance? Yes, a bit- the bromance between the two MLs is charming, and the FL is adorable. But it's also a spy caper, a story about political corruption, a fun behind-the-scenes movie parody, and a sizzling romance. It's got everything, including the slow-burn intensity of Park Hae-jin as spy-turned-bodyguard, and charming veteran Park Sung-woon as the jaded movie star he's guard.
Highly diverting entertainment. I still don't like the title, though. - u/SpicyMustFlow
-
29. Best Wedding
Korean Drama - 2014, 16 episodes
The Greatest Marriage! - Will never forget this one Such a strong acting Storyline was also truly amazing. Shows really beautiful bond and also the hardships of life ❤ - u/10mileofpeachflowers
-
30. Search: WWW
Korean Drama - 2019, 16 episodes
Search: WWW — I get that they tried to link the title with the story and all but its not a good name imo. the actual drama tho was quite good, the romance isn’t the main aspect i guess but the whole competition between the two companies was actually entertaining and the strong female characters really made the drama. - u/zerokathxh
-
31. Good Casting
Korean Drama - 2020, 16 episodes
Good Casting — The title has absolutely nothing to do with the drama like i tried understanding why they called it this but i just have no idea. Its an amazing drama tho with lots of action, strong characters and interesting plot. It quickly climbed up my list of favourites but i wished they focused a bit more on the relationship between Choi Kanghee and Lee Sangyoeb i guess since clearly they had so much chemistry idk. - u/zerokathxh
-
32. The Girl Who Sees Scents
Korean Drama - 2015, 16 episodes
The girl who Sees Smells - It sounds very cliche and cheap to me. My friend even said it sounded childish. Plot wise: title says it all, girl can see smells which is interesting and new. I also love the twists and turns of the story. The villain, I think, carried the whole drama. His story is pretty interesting.
Actors: Park Yoo Chun, Shin Se Kyung, Nam Goong Min Park Yoo Chun’s and Shin Se Kyung’s acting were okay. I don’t remember much except for Nam Goong Min’s superb acting, lol that’s it. - u/minkhn101
-
33. Be Melodramatic
Korean Drama - 2019, 16 episodes
Be Melodramatic - The title is so misleading bc this drama is actually the exact opposite of melodrama; it takes a hard look at the struggles of real life, and mocks melodrama at every turn. It is about a group of thirty something friends that live together in an apartment, each struggling in their careers (writers, directors, and showbiz) and lives but finding support and comfort in one another as they work to overcome those challenges. It uses comedy and gags to have a discussion about trauma, healing, and life as an adult. - u/forever-cha-young
-
34. Suspicious Partner
Korean Drama - 2017, 40 episodes
Suspicious Partner - The title and the trailer put me off for ages and then I discovered it is one of the best K-dramas. there is suspicion and there are partners but the title does not reflect the story at all. It is a really good thriller/murder mystery and one of the best romantic dramas, with a superb supporting cast. You really care about the characters and the chemistry between Ji Chang Wook and Nam Ji Hyun is legendary. - u/Englishk-dramafan
Suspicious Partner - Honestly, because of the title I thought that the premise involved a jealous partner / dealt with infidelity. Obviously that wasn't the case. It dealt with the legal system and a serial killer. Glad I ended up watching it - u/anushree1908
-
35. It's Okay to Not Be Okay
Korean Drama - 2020, 16 episodes
I was definitely put off by It's Okay To Not Be Okay, just out of irritation for the split infinitive, but oh my goodness I am glad I overcame my grammatical snobbery for it is quite simply the best k-drama that I have watched to date. I am in a minority as a great fan of Chocolate, which I found so touching, but IOTNBO is better because it is SO tightly directed, not a single meandering episode or irrelevant moment. It manages to combine every trope, every cliche, every k-drama OTT laugh-out-loud moment, and yet break your heart at the same time - not in a sad ending way but in that way when things are so touching, so incredibly well acted, that it makes you cry - in a good way! - u/Englishk-dramafan
-
36. Strong Woman Do Bong Soon
Korean Drama - 2017, 16 episodes
Strong Woman Do Bong Soon - For some reason I have not watched this drama although my friends recommended it. But after I started watching it , it's so fun and cool I totally loved it. - u/Headless-chicken03
-
37. Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo
Korean Drama - 2016, 20 episodes
Moon LoversL Scarlet Heart Ryeo - Everytime I think of watching this I see the images of this drama and again decide not to watch it but finally after watching it I have loved it so much and it's a emotional one. It's one of my all time favorites now. If u have not watched it I recommend you this one. - u/Headless-chicken03
Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo - Set in a historical time period, has isekai element, power struggle for the throne, romance not only mc focused but sideline characters has got their share of it as well, a difficult choice put forth between love and power, mc development, regrets and epiphany- a lot regrets but :) and a painful ending. You want a wholsome ride of getting hit by all of these waves and cry like it's happening to you personally while at the end you could do nothing but crave for a season 2 then this is for you :) - u/reeeeiinnnyy
-
38. High School King of Savvy
Korean Drama - 2014, 17 episodes
High School King of Savvy - Whaaa? In a way, this title is kinda helpful, because it gives you a heads up that the drama is a little on the loopy side. But if you're a fan of quirky individualists and noona romances, this is a hilarious, heartwarming trip to happyland. You just have to swallow the initial premise, that a high school student can pass himself off as his older brother, a seasoned businessman. And then you get to watch innocent nonconformists meet cute, stumble, and yet follow their hearts. - u/amnesiafakedating
-
39. It's Okay, That's Love
Korean Drama - 2014, 16 episodes
It's Okay, That's Love - One of the worst, most misleading titles of all time, this happy go lucky promise of romantic comedy to come has literally nothing to do with the drama, which contains serious, moving, healing content about mental illness and adverse childhood events. Sure, there are funny moments, and the drama has a lot of style, but it's not a fluffy romcom by any stretch of the imagination. - u/amnesiafakedating
-
40. Drama Special Series Season 1: White Christmas
Korean Special - 2011, 8 episodes
White Christmas - Unless you're aware of the child abuse allegations against Bing Crosby, the title White Christmas would seem to be a total mismatch when applied to this tightly written, twisty psychological suspense tale. Remember the lyric? "I'm dreaming of a white Christmas, just like the ones I used to know. Where the treetops glisten, and children listen to hear sleighbells in the snow." Do not come to this drama looking for sleighbells in the snow. And if any children are listening, stop them and put them to bed. When this drama comes on the screen, it is definitively past the children's bedtime. If you find yourself dreaming of this White Christmas, wake yourself up! -- or you're trapped in a snowbound nightmare. - u/amnesiafakedating
-
41. Secret Love Affair
Korean Drama - 2014, 16 episodes
Secret Love Affair - Are you kidding me? This sounds like a bodice ripper. Totally does not fit a hard core arthouse melodrama that packs a hefty sociopolitical punch and explores the way money and power corrupt art. I mean, yes, there's an affair, and yes, it would be great if they could keep it a secret. But this drama is about so much more than a relationship. I have to admit, though, it is one hot relationship. - u/amnesiafakedating
-
42. Should We Kiss First?
Korean Drama - 2018, 40 episodes
Should We Kiss First? - More like Should We Address Our Individual Crushing Traumatic Histories Separately with Therapists First? Really, that title sounds like I don't know what - youthful hesitation and shyness? While the drama is about wounded fortysomethings who've been around the block already. This is a great melodrama that leaves you with some beauty and hope at the end. The characters are layered, complex, imperfect, messy people who catch at my heart. - u/amnesiafakedating
-
43. Go Ho's Starry Night
Korean Drama - 2016, 20 episodes
Go Ho's Starry Night - So evoking Vincent Van Gogh makes no sense when giving a title to a fluffball of adorableness like this reverse harem romcom. But not to worry, no one loses an ear. This is a super cute, short series in which the female lead starts out feeling rejected. That doesn't last long. - u/amnesiafakedating
-
44. A Piece of Your Mind
Korean Drama - 2020, 12 episodes
A Piece of Your Mind - For some reason the title felt really ok-ish and I kept putting it off. But I finally got to watch it and I think it’s one of the best and most therapeutic dramas out there. It’s an underrated gem. The plot is so good, it’s a slow burn melodrama that shows the healing of people as and when their lives are intertwined through an AI device. It has very therapeutic cinematography and the actors have done a very good job. Perfect drama for the winter season. - u/Fatooz
-
45. Coffee Prince
Korean Drama - 2007, 17 episodes
Coffee Prince - The name sounds weird but it’s a very adorable and hilarious drama. It’s also slice of life, the side stories are also really nice. All the characters are very well written. The chemistry between the leads is amazing and the FL is a breath of fresh air. - u/Fatooz
-
46. Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol
Korean Drama - 2020, 16 episodes
Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol - The title name sounded so kiddish but the drama was so feel good and light hearted. The characters were well written and the pacing of the drama was also really nice. There were some subtle twists too. Overall it’s a clichéd yet very heartwarming drama. - u/Fatooz
-
47. Do You Like Brahms?
Korean Drama - 2020, 16 episodes
Do You Like Brahms? - The title made me unsure if I should watch it or not but it turned out to be one of the most beautiful dramas. It’s a slow burn romantic melodrama that focuses on the lives of musicians with different range of talents. It also depicts how they fall in and out of love. A very realistic drama with real characters. - u/Fatooz
-
48. Flower of Evil
Korean Drama - 2020, 16 episodes
Flower of Evil - I don’t know why but the name of the title made me very skeptical about watching it, probably because it sounded lame. However the drama is an awesome romantic thriller. Every episode keeps you on the edge of your seat and the acting was amazing. - u/Fatooz
-
49. Tempted
Korean Drama - 2018, 32 episodes
The Great Seducer - From the name the drama sounded R rated but it’s a pretty decent drama. The characters are complex and messy but they for some reason seem real. The plot is decent, the chemistry is good and the cast is stellar. - u/Fatooz
-
50. Business Proposal
Korean Drama - 2022, 12 episodes
A Business Proposal - The title makes the drama seem like as if it is about a formal corporate business proposal and if you watch it without reading the synopsis, you might think you're going in for a bit of a serious drama. However, it's a hilarious romcom with slapstick comedy and great chemistry between all the main leads. The best part of the drama was that the second leads had sort of a role reversal of the main leads. It's a perfect watch if you're looking for something relaxing to watch. - u/Fatooz
-
51. Happiness
Korean Drama - 2021, 12 episodes
Happiness - Considering that this is a thriller, the title quite doesn't fit with the genres, however the drama depicts how to find happiness amongst all the hard times the characters were going through with respect to the new deadly disease. Han Hyo-Joo and Park Hyung-Sik were great in their respective roles, they had great dynamics and chemistry. I really wish to see them in a romance drama with the chemistry they had. The "zombies" are done differently in this drama and so it presents a unique aspect to it. - u/Fatooz
-
52. Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha
Korean Drama - 2021, 16 episodes
Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha - The title made me not look forward to the drama though I was very much looking forward to it because of the cast. But the title can make you feel like the drama might not be that great since the title sounded a bit childish. The drama though, along with amazing romance, it captures some beautiful shots of the sea since the drama is set in a countryside place near the sea. Also, the supporting cast is so wholesome that by the end of the drama you'd want to live in a small town with such wholesome people. It's so cute and mature! - u/Fatooz

53. Imitation
Korean Drama - 2021, 12 episodes
Imitation - If you go by the literal meaning of the title then it means copying or imitating someone. But the drama is a lot more than just that. Surely it starts off with the FL imitating a popular idol actress, but it mainly focuses on the struggles of idols and how difficult it is for them to survive in this industry let alone make it big. Regardless, it was quite a simple and cute drama. I liked the dynamics of the bands and it was after a really long time I was able to enjoy a short and simple and predictable rom-com focusing on idols. - u/Fatooz

54. My Love from the Star
Korean Drama - 2013, 21 episodes
My Love From The Star - absolutely spectacular kdrama, spunky fl with extraterrestrial ml, however the drama title is a little jarring and awkwardly translated - u/intelligentMoodie

55. Military Prosecutor Doberman
Korean Drama - 2022, 16 episodes
I really liked Military Prosecutor Doberman, although I was put off by the title as it just seemed clunky to me. The title actually made sense when you watch it, and it turned out to be a pretty darn decent drama with lots of courtroom stuff and a tiny bit of romance. There were a few plot holes and I thought it was a little bit makjang at times but we watched it all the way through (Hubby and I) to the satisfying ending. Oh, and there's a cute dog too. :) (depending on how you feel about dobermans) - u/featherzz

56. A Korean Odyssey
Korean Drama - 2017, 20 episodes
A Korean Odyssey is also kind of a dumb name. Especially because all of the characters are based on the Chinese Classic, "A Journey to the West". It's really just a fantastical romcom with some fun bromance/frenemy action between the Monkey King and The Bull Demon. A good watch. - u/newgrl

57. Hi! School - Love On
Korean Drama - 2014, 20 episodes
Hi! School - Love On feels like a mistranslated mess, especially considering the content of this teen romcom with a fantasy element and a pretty heavy love triangle. - u/newgrl

58. The Great Shaman Ga Doo Shim
Korean Drama - 2021, 12 episodes
The Great Shaman Ga Doo Shim - this is a terrible title that is hard to remember and not really the point of the drama. There’s a high school girl named Ga Doo Shim who is fated to become a shaman but isn’t expected to survive past 18. Students at the school start dying and she teams up with the ML to save them. It’s a near perfect webdrama with a great cast and acting. - u/caninedesign

59. At a Distance, Spring Is Green
Korean Drama - 2021, 12 episodes
At a Distance, Spring Is Green - I don't think much of the title. It means when viewed from a distance, being young is the best time of your life. However the drama points out that no, not always. There are students abused, in poverty, struggling...and shows them as real people helping each other through hard times and overcoming their problems. It has great characters and is beautifully written. - u/caninedesign

60. Let Me Be Your Knight
Korean Drama - 2021, 12 episodes
Let Me Be Your Knight - after watching this drama, I have no idea why it's called this. Maybe I missed something? It's about a woman who moves in with an Idol group to help the lead singer through some mental issues. Romance ensues. It's an average kdrama to watch when you need some quick romance and like idol dynamics. - u/caninedesign

61. Please Don't Date Him
Korean Drama - 2020, 10 episodes
Please Don't Date Him - this is a bad title and is misleading. The FL is a developer and builds an app that combs social media and recommends whether you should date a potential partner or not. It causes some angst but really isn't the focus of the kdrama. There are probably dozens of better titles. Worth watching for the kiss scene alone! - u/caninedesign

62. Sh**ting Stars
Korean Drama - 2022, 16 episodes
Sh**ting Stars - this isn't a curse word. It's Shooting. The title is actually a good, fitting one if it didn't read like a curse word. Loved the kdrama and would recommend highly. - u/caninedesign
Sh**ting Stars - the Korean title is a pun on pooping so this is a clever way to illustrate that. It has 똥 as part of the original title which means sh*t. - u/Borinquena

63. Hyena
Korean Drama - 2020, 16 episodes
Hyena - The title doesn't sound interesting at all..but the drama is outstanding....it's one of my top favs...the female lead is strong...they are basically lawyers...but the way they solve cases are amazing. - u/Anxious_Ad_7260

64. Me too, Flower!
Korean Drama - 2011, 15 episodes
Me Too, Flower! is a charming series about a street kid turned high fashion designer and a police woman. Following the basic enemies turned lovers trope - u/ShawnInOceanside
