Actors I follow

While I am not immune to a pretty face (and other bits), this list is for actors who have impressed me with their ability to make me care about their characters.

  • Lee Joon Gi

    South Korean

Do I need to explain this one? While I do not love every one of his characters, he has never failed to impress me with his acting ability.

  • So Ji Sub

    South Korean

First came across him in 'Master's Sun'.  His character there was intriguing though at times not very likable. My second exposure was 'Always' and a completely different character. Now I am on to 'Oh my Venus' and developing a respect for his Acting ability. Lets see where  it leads me...

  • Jo Jae Yoon

    South Korean

Very versatile actor who made me care (cheetah in Mad Dog), laugh (Bong Man-shik in Black), and get entirely creeped out. (Jo Wan-tae in Save Me) all in the span of a few weeks.

  • Li Tai

    Chinese

I have only ever seen him in 'The King's Woman'. But that was enough to get him on this list. I'll be keeping my eyes open for more of his work.  (once I finish slogging through Lee Joon Gi's catalog)

  • Woo Do Hwan

    South Korean

Save Me and Mad Dog. While the characters were similar in many ways, he had the skills to make them very different. Looking forward to his next big thing.

  • Nam Joo Hyuk

    South Korean

I adore this guy's range of character. I've seen him play adorable (weightlifting fairy), arrogant (Hebak), and artistic (scarlet heart ryeo). Each character was unique from the others.

  • Gong Yoo

    South Korean

Honestly I've only seen him in Goblin, but like Li Tai, that was enough to put him on my radar.

  • Xu Ke

    Chinese

Xe Ke is not in may things, but what I have seen him in I have enjoyed. He seems to do best at the quiet brainy guy with a flirty side that comes out every now and then.

  • Jang Hyuk

    South Korean

I will admit my first exposure to him (Fated to love you) left me ambivalent. That all changed with Money Flower.
