All of the Dramas & Movies that I watched in the year 2019!
-
1. My Love from the Star
Korean Drama - 2013, 21 episodes
Everyone seemed perfectly cast in this drama. I liked the chemistry that the leads had. I loved the FL personality she was kinda stupid, but in my personal opinion she was the most 3D character in the ENTIRE drama. The ending was unexpected, yet enjoyable!
-
2. Life on Mars
Korean Drama - 2018, 16 episodes
The First episode didn't really capture my attention, but by episode 2-3 I was hooked! The entire cast did an amazing job, all in all I LOVED THIS! This show is funny too, one of the best dramas!!! :) 10/10
-
3. Secret
Korean Drama - 2013, 16 episodes
This show was one for the ages I binge-watched it over the course of 2 days! This drama is 100% a Melo, but I LOVED it!!! Honestly the FL did an incredible job I didn't doubt whatsoever that she was heartbroken/sad while crying! A++!
-
4. The Long Way Home
Korean Movie - 2015
The movie had me laughing throughout to the point in which I forgot that it was a "War" movie, that ending was an unwelcome reminder of that fact. I wasn't expecting to love this as much as I did!
-
5. The Man from Nowhere
Korean Movie - 2010
Wow just wow this movie took me on a roller-coaster of emotions, the only reason this is not a perfect ten is because I saw the "twist" ending about the girl coming. The villains were horrendous, and I 100% rooted for Won Bin's character. All in all GREAT MOVIE!
-
6. Coffee Prince
Korean Drama - 2007, 17 episodes
I've seen this 3 times, it truly is a timeless classic that I will forever love!! 10/10
-
7. Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo
Korean Drama - 2016, 16 episodes
Super fluffy and cute, feel good drama! I've rewatched this 3 times, enough said. 10/10
-
8. Scent of a Woman
Korean Drama - 2011, 16 episodes
I've Re-Watched this, and I can't believe how many tears I've shed while watching this drama. AMAZING chemistry, AMAZING acting, and AMAZING albeit sad story!
-
9. Scandal Makers
Korean Movie - 2008
I loved this so much. The story flowed perfectly, there wasn't a single part that I didn't enjoy! This is such a feel good movie, with amazing acting.
-
10. The Suspect
Korean Movie - 2013
Exciting Action movie, with Gong Yoo. The chase scenes where exhilarating, especially the intricate car chases. Great movie all around! :)
-
11. Burn The Stage: The Movie
Korean Movie - 2018
I stan BTS, so I loved this. Honestly I'm just not a huge fan of documentary's so that's why I gave it a 9.5/10.
-
12. On Your Wedding Day
Korean Movie - 2018
First Love's aren't necessarily your last.... I loved the acting (Park Bo Young is my girl!), and the leads had really cute chemistry. The story itself flowed well and to top it off there were a couple of truly laugh out loud moments. I kinda wish I hadn't been spoiled on the ending, but I enjoyed it nevertheless!!
-
13. Encounter
Korean Drama - 2018, 16 episodes
I watched this mainly for the Song Hye Kyo & Park Bo Gum pairing and I have to say their story/chemistry was cute, however the drama itself was rather slow. The cinematography was beautiful especially their scenes in Cuba! All in all this was a good but not great drama.
-
14. The Attorney
Korean Movie - 2013
The main leads change from a greedy lawyer to one that seeks justice for his client was a delight to watch! I enjoyed this movie. :)
-
15. Lust, Caution
Chinese Movie - 2007
I thoroughly enjoyed this movie, even the mature scenes didn't feel in poor taste, they looked like they belonged. The story was beautifully told, with near perfect flow. It started off slow hence the reason it's not a 10.
-
16. Busted
Korean TV Show - 2018, 10 episodes
It was a fun mystery/detective variety show with a lot of my favorite stars in it! I enjoyed it and found myself laughing and replaying scenes. The first few eps. were a bit awkward until the cast got used to each other though, hence the reason why it's not a perfect 10.
-
17. Want More 19
Korean Drama - 2018, 7 episodes
Playlist Global Webdramas are always a short yet fun watch. Although this isn't my favorite series by them, it was a cute one overall! :)
-
18. An Affair
Korean Movie - 1998
I'm surprised that I liked this as much as I did considering the fact that this movie came out in 1998. The leads had great chemistry, fantastic kiss scenes, and the ending made it feeling like they were destined for each other.
-
19. The Villainess
Korean Movie - 2017
Badass Female Lead, interesting movie. Exhilarating fight scenes, it's a great action movie!
-
20. Queen In Hyun's Man
Korean Drama - 2012, 16 episodes
This was an easy watch where the leads had great chemistry (they dated IRL), and to top it all off it was a happy ending! Great kiss scenes as well!
-
21. Cunning Single Lady
Korean Drama - 2014, 16 episodes
I've seen this twice and it's a really easy watch. The leads have cute chemistry, and the FL was different than what I typically see in KDramas. All in all I liked this drama although there's not much depth to it.
-
22. Put Your Head on My Shoulder
Chinese Drama - 2019, 24 episodes
This drama was all around funny & cute, it wasn't too dramatic or intense, but it stayed interesting throughout, honestly the most surprising thing was how each episode seemed to breeze by I had multiple moments of thinking "wait... did 45 minutes just go by?!" The secondary couple is my main source of complaint, I didn't like either of the characters and didn't ship that pairing, they truly just took away screen-time from my cute mains! This drama was based off a novel by the same author that wrote "A Love so Beautiful" and I 100% prefer this drama!
-
23. Children of Nobody
Korean Drama - 2018, 32 episodes
The acting was stellar all throughout there was not a single weak-link in this cast, but a HUGE shoutout to all of the amazing child stars for truly bringing tears to my eyes several times with their performances as abused children! This drama is one that I don't think that I'll forget anytime soon, the big mystery behind who Red Cry was had me guessing up until the very last episode!
-
24. Secret Garden
Korean Drama - 2010, 20 episodes
Such a timeless drama, I was surprised that I enjoyed this the amount I did, considering it aired almost 10 years earlier. Loved the multiple steamy/deep kisses. The body swap aspect made it even more fun to watch because you got to see the ML acting all girly & vice versa for the FL.
-
25. Secret Garden Special
Korean Special - 2011, 1 episode
This was a documentary special which included behind the scenes & interviews with the cast of the drama. It was a nice little episode to watch, after completing my first viewing of this show.
-
26. Doctor John
Korean Drama - 2019, 32 episodes
I started watching this solely because of Ji Sung (he was excellent as per usual), but what made me stick around was the interesting premise itself. I had never seen euthanasia (a highly controversial topic) being so front and center in a drama, while also giving a multitude of varying opinion on the matter without being biased on whether or not it's acceptable. My one complaint is mainly that I didn't feel like the crazy nurse was a "strong" enough villain, especially given her rather shallow reason for hating the ML so much. All in all this is a great drama, minor flaws and all.
-
27. I Picked Up a Star on the Road
Korean Drama - 2018, 10 episodes
The comedy is necessary for the leads to be a believable couple, otherwise I'd hate it considering the FL kidnapped the ML. This drama is one that I watched casually and enjoyed to the point where I laughed a bunch of times. The songs are cute, the mystery wasn't obvious, and the leads had okay chemistry. All in all I enjoyed it!
-
28. Fall in Love at First Kiss
Taiwanese Movie - 2019
My personal favorite version of "Itazura na Kiss" you can actually see the ML liking her back in this one. I really enjoyed it, but I wish it was turned into a drama so some things could've been fleshed out better!
-
29. Kenja no Ai
Japanese Drama - 2016, 4 episodes
I thought this was a beautifully done revenge drama! The flashbacks into the FL's childhood give insight into how she is the way she was, but I wish she had been more stern with Yuri (ML's mom) in the beginning, rather than planning out this 20 year long revenge plan!
-
30. Can't Help Falling in Love
Filipino Movie - 2017
It was a cute story, the leads had chemistry. Although the story was cliche I liked it, and the beautiful scenery was an added plus.
-
31. She Was Pretty
Korean Drama - 2015, 16 episodes
I thought that this was a really cute and feel good drama. I enjoyed each episode, but the plot wasn't that strong to tie me over from the fact that the leads didn't even get together until episode 12. I had a slight case of SLS so I wished that he would've had a happier ending as well... Overall I liked this drama.
-
32. W
Korean Drama - 2016, 16 episodes
Overall I enjoyed this drama, only reason it's not a perfect ten is because the last 3-4 episodes got really messy and complex. If the writers stopped trying to be unpredictable this drama would've been better!
-
33. A Beautiful Mind
Korean Drama - 2016, 14 episodes
This was an interesting Medical Drama, But since it got cut from 16 eps to 14 eps the ending was rather rushed. The Romance was sprinkled on at the end, but the drama felt like it was about the ML, and the FL felt more like a supporting character as the episodes dragged on.
-
34. Queen of Mystery
Korean Drama - 2017, 16 episodes
Thankfully there's a 2nd season because this show ends on a complete cliffhanger! Some cases were more interesting than others, the leads had cute chemistry even though the FL was married.
-
35. She's on Duty
Korean Movie - 2005
I watched it mainly for the Gong Yoo & Kim Sun Ah pairing, but even though this movie is almost 15 years old it was a enjoyable watch. Action, Comedy, Romance with deep kisses between the stars I liked it!
-
36. What's Your Blood Type?
Korean Drama - 2016, 7 episodes
A really short less than 10 minutes treat, I originally only checked this out for Kim Seul Gi, but I found myself chuckling multiple times while watching!
-
37. I'm Not a Robot
Korean Drama - 2017, 32 episodes
Good not great drama, Honestly the premise was very interesting and I thought both of the leads were great actors, BUT the drama got really slow in the middle. Watched some parts sped up.
-
38. Thirty but Seventeen
Korean Drama - 2018, 32 episodes
Each character was acted out well, and there was a multitude of different personalities/backstories, BUT there wasn't enough plot to tie me over from the fact that it took 12 episodes for them to kiss. This drama started out really interesting but then it dragged in the middle, and the ending felt really rushed. I didn't have SLS because for me he was more like a close friend/puppy than a potential love interest. All in all this drama was good but not great.
-
39. Extreme Job
Korean Movie - 2019
It was a funny cop movie. I laughed a couple times, but I would've enjoyed it more if the translation was better, some parts didn't make sense.
-
40. Animal World
Chinese Movie - 2018
Honestly I got a bit lost a couple times while watching this, all in all it was a really dramatic game of Rock, Paper. Scissors lol.
-
41. Love and Fortune
Japanese Drama - 2018, 12 episodes
I only ended up checking this out because it was on Netflix. For me the relationship felt built off of lust rather than any love, considered dropping it but ended up finishing it anyways.
-
42. Drama Special Season 5: I'm Dying Soon
Korean Special - 2014, 1 episode
I watched because of Kim Seul Gi, and surprisingly this wasn't sad at all! I actually laughed at the end, it concluded nicely, but I got a bit bored in the middle.
-
43. That Winter, the Wind Blows
Korean Drama - 2013, 16 episodes
Honestly I was so excited for this drama in the beginning I loved the cast, and the story sounded exactly like something that I would like. Although the actors did a great job acting out their parts I just wasn't invested in the story... Long story short I didn't hate it, but it wasn't anything worth reminiscing about later on.
-
44. My Sassy Girl
Korean Movie - 2001
Honestly I loved how non-cliche this was, even up until the very end where they reunited thanks to something unique. BUT there's one MAJOR problem with this movie, and that's the fact that the FL physically hits/slaps the ML on multiple occasions in the movie. Abuse is inexcusable.
-
45. The Vampire Lives Next Door To Us
Korean Movie - 2015
I'm not sure I understood it completely, but I enjoyed it regardless it was less than 20 min. total. Great cast love Ji Sung.
-
46. Broject
Korean Special - 2018, 2 episodes
It's a Playlist Global drama unlike anything they've done before. I didn't like it as much as their other stuff, and I saw the ending coming. On the bright side it was only 30 min. total.
-
47. The Miracle
Korean Drama - 2016, 12 episodes
It wasn't the best nor the worst... overall it was just meh. Since the episodes were a short 15 min. each I didn't feel like it was a waste of time. The one thing I really liked about this drama was that they didn't miraculously make the chubby sister slim down and get the guy in the last ep!
-
48. The King’s Case Note
Korean Movie - 2017
The acting was great, but subpar storyline that started off slow and didn't really take off.
-
49. Love Clinic
Korean Movie - 2015
Honestly this movie is ridiculous, the plot doesn't make much sense, and the leads don't have much chemistry. Don't recommend.
-
50. The Most Beautiful Goodbye
Korean Drama - 2017, 4 episodes
Given the tragic subject matter I'm seriously surprised that I didn't cry! The acting was great, but I didn't find myself invested in the story nor rooting for/liking any of the character.
-
51. The Hymn of Death
Korean Drama - 2018, 6 episodes
I didn't feel their chemistry, nor believe in this star-crossed lovers "I'm gonna die so I can truly live" BS... Long story short I only watched it for Lee Jong Suk and even then I was disappointed.
-
52. Once Upon a Time... in My Heart
Thai Drama - 2016, 12 episodes
This Thai drama just became something I felt I had to complete rather than wanted to! It took me forever to finally finish this drama even though I watched it sped up!
-
53. Temptation of Wolves
Korean Movie - 2004
The FL pissed me off to the point where I almost dropped this. She was a horrible actress with a grand total of 2 expressions either a blank/stupid look on her face OR a shocked expression. Either way there wasn't a single thing that I found to be charming or attractive about her character so I didn't get why the leads were fighting over her. One of which was her ACTUAL half-brother...ew.
-
54. Illang: The Wolf Brigade
Korean Movie - 2018
I felt like this movie was a waste of so many talented actors. I didn't understand the romance AT ALL it felt completely nonsensical. What a waste of time.
-
55. You Who Came from the Stars: Epilogue
Korean Special - 2014, 1 episode
The was just a 2 min. epilogue that continued on from where the drama completed. It was nice and fluffy! :)
-
56. Put Your Head On My Shoulder Special Episode
Chinese Special - 2019, 1 episode
This was a super cute ending special because you get to see their married life + an interaction with their son! <3
