-
Lee Je Hoon
South Korean
dramas
- tomorrow with you (2017)
- signal (2016)
thoughts
- if i could have one person just read me...everything, i would want it to be lee je-hoon. his voice has such a magical quality. it's deep and sweet, and i just love it so much
- tremendous actor. his work in signal was amazing, and seeing him paired with shin min ah made me so happy in tomorrow with you.
-
Kang Ha Neul
South Korean
dramas
- when the camellia blooms (2019)
- heirs (2013)
thoughts
- i remember him from heirs and remember thinking he was so so so handsome and didn't understand why he didn't have more scenes / lines / was the lead! so i'm unbelievably happy to see him as the male lead in when the camellia blooms, and he's AMAZING. he fully embodies his righteous, country bumpkin role. he's so sweet and endearing and naive and just an overall puppy. GAH love him in this so much.
- hoping that he'll continue to be chosen as the lead in projects from now on!!
-
Son Suk Ku
South Korean
dramas
- designated survivor: 60 days (2019)
- be melodramatic (2019) - recurring guest role
thoughts
- he might just be here because i am smitten by his role of secretary cha in designated survivor: 60 days. he has so much charisma on the screen that all i want to do is watch his other dramas (especially matrimonial chaos!)
- fave status COMPLETELY cemented during his recurring guest role in be melodramatic. wow. he did so much in the little screen time he had.
- great voice - the way he delivers lines and his tone...♡
-
Lee Jong Suk
South Korean
dramas
- romance is a bonus book (2019)
- pinocchio (2014)
- i hear your voice (2013)
thoughts
- fell so in love with him in i hear your voice with lee bo young. i think it was at that point i realized i'm a major sucker for those noona romances
- lee jong suk is so effective at being the good, sweet guy. and i say this with the best of meanings, since he does it so well without being boring.

Jung Hae In
South Korean
dramas
- one spring night (2019)
- something in the rain (2018)
- i didn't finish this drama, but this was the drama where he caught my attention
thoughts
- this is where recency bias comes into play - i'm still thinking about his portrayal of yoo ji ho in one spring night, and i'm honestly not sure i'll love another male lead more. he was perfect as the emotionally mature and highly vulnerable pharmacist, and i just want more and more of him and han ji min please!!!
- his puppy eyes. wow wow wow.
-
Cho Seung Woo
South Korean
dramas
- secret forest (2017)
thoughts
- he's got the kind of screen presence that any actor would wish for. he's somewhat more low key than what i expect from most actors/actresses, but he really draws you in. loved him in secret forest and am hoping desperately that they'll make a second one.
- gorgeous voice - so soothing. also him singing...!! i had no idea he was a musical star before, but he's got pipes: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ouzw6GKCuHk

Seo In Guk
South Korean
dramas
- shopping king louie (2016)
- master's sun (2013)
- reply 1997 (2012)
thoughts
- originally a fan of his singing ("부른다" and "너 땜에 못살아" are personal favorites), i followed him to reply 1997 and was thrilled to see him act with jung eun ji (another fave).
- he's really proved his acting chops throughout the years, and i especially loved him in shopping king louie. i wish the smile has left your eyes had a happy ending; then i wouldn't be so terrified of watching it ;;
- also THIS SONG: "all for you". that is all.
-
Ji Chang Wook
South Korean
dramas
- suspicious partner (2017)
- healer (2014)
thoughts
- i, like the rest of the world, fell in love with ji chang wook from his role(s) in healer as both the enigmatic "delivery" person and the bumbling, lovable shy guy (park bong soo).
- he has such a sexy smolder and is able to balance the serious and comedic so well. truly the best kind of male romantic lead as how can any person not fall for him??
-
Kang Ki Young
South Korean
dramas
- what's wrong with secretary kim (2018)
- weightlifting fairy kim bok joo (2016)
thoughts
- he's so good in the comedic roles! but he also exudes this kindness and warm heartedness that whenever he's on the screen, my attention goes at least partly to him
- really want him to get a leading role if possible! though i know he might not physically scream "male romance lead," but he's just so good. plus not all dramas need romance (even if kdrama land frequently makes us think otherwise...). he would be amazing in a straight up comedy or a slice of life drama!
