The gay stuff - series

The only Thai show thus fair which contains a poly couple. Not only that, but it also has a trans character played by a trans woman, which is wonderful. The storyline is very Bonnie & Clyde meets Triple H, and the cinematography is clearly inspired by Wes Anderson and Quentin Tarantino, but done so in a subtle and experimental way. 

Beware: It goes into topics such as rape and abuse but done so in a much more respectful way, that can be seen as realistic, compared to other series which tend to brush such heavy topics off as if they were nothing.

Various "side" couples. 

Only the first season, so prepare for a cliffhanger at the end of the last episode. Interesting and fast-paced, and although the MM couple isn't the main focus, they still have an important contribution to the plot. Many are comparing it to Lost, I can see why from looking at the trailer, but this show is honestly nothing like Lost and includes more fantasy-like elements. Intriguing plot, and easy to binge with only 7 episodes. 

More LGBTQ characters include a bi-girl(s), and a guy who is crushing on his best friend.

A great mixture of comedy, supernatural, and romance. It's a love story between a human and a ghost and therefore not the most realistic story out there, but it's great nevertheless. It's one of the shorter BL's produced by GMMTV,  but as expected, both Ohm and Singto do a great job in the acting. 

It's a cute and bittersweet romance with great comedic aspects.  

Treats homosexuality as a normality (which is bomb, as not every BL has to be centered around coming out). The plot is more mature and the genre is a good mixture of a thriller and romance, with comedy sprinkled. Great acting and great chemistry (with A+ kissing scenes oof)

It deserves the score, looked at it from a short web-series point of view. Of course, it won't be filled with details nor the biggest development plot-wise, but for its length, it did a great job at showing what it had to show. The chemistry + acting was believable and pretty good. I'm surprised they even included a kiss scene, coming from the fact that it's a South Korean BL from a pretty big company/publisher.

One of the male characters develops a crush on the main male lead. 

Short webdrama based on a webtoon. It can be seen as mainly bromance, but nevertheless it's a great and entertaining webdrama.

This show shouldn't be taken too seriously. It's a comedy, and a great one at is. It does get into deeper topics but does so in a great balance with its comedy. An easy watch if you're looking for something comedic.

This is probably one of the ultimate slow burns in Thai BL, but it does it at a good pace. Many think that 17 episodes were too much, I can see why, but it was needed to complete the main story arc without it being too rushed. 

This story is a tad bit darker than many other Thai BL's, and hits on topics such as homophobia in a much more transparent way compared to others. This is mainly due to the fact that half of the storyline is happening in the late 20th century, which gives a nice contrast to the present day where being homosexual is much more accepted.

Plot-wise, this is one of my favorites. It can be seen as a slow-burn in terms of the development of Khongpob and Arthit's relationship, but it's lovely to see Arthit slowly get more used to Khongpop. Their relationship is not rushed and has nice pacing. Many may not like it due to their somewhat awkward kissing, but I personally think it adds to the charm.

The second season of Sotus. Arthit is now working, whilst Khongpob has become the hazer, which spot once belonged to Arthit. This season shows a more realistic approach to a closeted relationship, where Arthit is struggling in coming out to his coworkers. 

2/4 of the couples are very nice and bubbly, slightly angsty, but nothing too big. Luckily these are the two couples with the most screentime. The main couple having wonderful chemistry, with the viewer wishing that they had a partner like Ae. 

Beware: The other 2/4 of the couples can have scenes that may be seen as disturbing for some, such as non-consensual sex, which isn't necessarily addressed in the best way. 

Rumoured to be a continuation of Cin and Tan's unfinished romance from season 1. 

One of the most cinematic Thai BL's as of yet, which makes sense since they're all film majors and each episode is named after a movie. It does get very angsty, and one may get very annoyed with either one or both of the main leads. Despite this, the chemistry is great and the cute scenes which are there, make up for it. Sequel/Side story to Kiss Me Again and Kiss Me. Main focus on two couples from this cinematic universe - Pete and Kao and a new addition; Sun and Mork.

Side couple - Prequel to Dark Blue Kiss. GMMTV released a 3-part cut with the main focus on only Pete and Kao, it's a nice quick watch before Dark Blue Kiss, but it does cut out on a small handful of other scenes which link up the story in more detail.

First part of the Kiss series.

Two best friends get drunk one night and do a thing, which changes their relationship.  Both being closeted and trying to figure out their sexuality and the romantic feelings they begin getting for each other. 

The acting as well as the chemistry is amazing. Korn and Knock ran so Tharn and Type could walk. 

Prequel/sequel to Together With Me. Here Korn and Knock are a side couple.

Part of the Love By Chance cinematic universe, but can be seen as an entire story by itself. It includes familiar characters, such as Type and Techno from LBC, but they are played by other actors. The chemistry of the main leads is amazing, making one almost forget the not so good acts of Tharn in the first few episodes. If you can manage emotional manipulation, you're in for a treat of amazing chemistry (which honestly was the only reason I continued watching the series).

Beware: Contains non-consensual scenes, which can be seen as disturbing for some. It also doesn't necessarily address them in the best way. There is one scene in the first half of the show, where rape/harassment (we don't know which of these happened) is being addressed in a more suitable and serious way (as it should), but despite this, it still includes some rather disturbing non-consensual scenes.

Said to show the relationship and lives of Tharn and Type 7 years in their relationship, with struggles such as marriage and a new person trying to break off their relationship.

Started of confusing af, then it turned out great, and then it started falling down. Entertaining to watch, but don't expect the most in-depth storytelling. The side couples are barely existent, with only a few seconds of screen time every few episodes. BUT the two main couples are a thrill to watch, despite the very unbalanced screentime. 

Watch for great chemistry and if you don't feel like watching anything you have to take too seriously. When I tell you that there's tons of kiss scenes, I'm not lying.

A "sequel" to 2moons, but also not really. You don't have to watch 2moons to watch 2moons2, as the first few episodes are basically a recap of what happened in 2moons, so expect fast pacing in the first few episodes -> This is due to the change in cast. 

3 main couples, the acting is decent, with some of the characters being better than others but still watchable. It's a really cute watch, with minimal drama.

Story 2 of En of Love. Very short story, so the pace is very fast. Quite angsty, and a tad bit confusing if you don't follow along. A quick watch with nice chemistry.

The OG 2moons, 2moons2 is a "sequel" but with a different cast. 

Cute story and very lighthearted, the acting is okay and the chemistry is also in the middle part. Enjoyable but not mindblowing.
