Best Noona-Themed Romance Drama Series
My Favorite Dramas with Noona or Older Woman/Younger Man-Themed Storylines
I put them in order of how much Noona-Themed Romance is involved, based on:
1) The struggle the female character has with dating the male character because of age
2) How insistent/sweet the male character is in wanting to date the female character
3) How female-centered it is and how much power the female character has over the male character
4) The Forbidden-ness of the couple together

1. Biscuit Teacher and Star Candy
Korean Drama - 2005, 16 episodes
Sentimental Favorite...It is also a bonus because the female character shapes the male character as a mentor.
-
2. Encounter
Korean Drama - 2018, 16 episodes
I am surprised by how much I liked this newer drama. It is great to see a female CEO and how she struggles with her social status vs. the male character's social status.

3. I Hear Your Voice
Korean Drama - 2013, 18 episodes
Not only a noona-romance but also supernatural and thriller themes in there too! Great for those a fan of Lee Jong Suk (he is such a noona-killer!).

10. Secret Love Affair
Korean Drama - 2014, 16 episodes
Darker themed show between an older woman and a younger man.
-
11. Chugakusei Nikki
Japanese Drama - 2018, 11 episodes
Also, a darker take on teacher-student relationship than Biscuit Teacher and Star Candy. But still really good, but you may be squeamish because of the underage-ness of the male lead.
-
12. Angry Mom
Korean Drama - 2015, 16 episodes
Even though there isn't really any romance between the two characters...it is mainly one-sided but it's soooo worth watching for the cute looks Go Bok Dong (Ji Soo) gives!!!
-
13. What's Up, Fox?
Korean Drama - 2006, 16 episodes
-
14. My Lovely Sam Soon
Korean Drama - 2005, 16 episodes
Classic. One of my favorite dramas but it doesn't really emphasize the noona romance which is why I am not putting it at the top.
-
15. Hajimete Koi wo Shita Hi ni Yomu Hanashi
Japanese Drama - 2019, 10 episodes
-
16. High School King of Savvy
Korean Drama - 2014, 17 episodes

Japanese Drama - 2015, 11 episodes

19. Twenty Again
Korean Drama - 2015, 16 episodes
Though the two main leads have a bit of an age difference, it isn't really talked about. Still I'm adding it to the list as it is a GREAT drama!

20. Suki na Hito ga Iru Koto
Japanese Drama - 2016, 10 episodes
