for me this is a masterpiece, I don't say anything else.

I was really excited to see this movie as Bleach is my all time favourite anime. I wasn't disappointed at all!

I am one of the biggest fans of Tokyo Ghoul as both manga and an anime. I wasn't disappointed at all!

it was a little disappointment about some things but I liked it ;;

left me with butterflies in my stomach... how to fall in love with Miura Haruma....

The first L-DK movie was really good. This one is not a remake of that old one, but it's more like a sequel. Cinematography is good and having two guys fighting over a girl is always a pleasure to watch. Good-looking casts. I think you should watch this if you are trying to watch a Japanese romantic-comedies.

 The plot was cute and even funny at times!

The acting was great! There was definitely chemistry between the leads, despite the age gap.

This is not the typical shoujo romance: it's psychological and it's serious. It's about friendship and emotional struggle. Actors was flawless. I will definitely rewatch this again ;;

A love story which portrays the meaning of true love. I think it was a beautiful movie.

Good plot but most of the events in this film were exactly the same as you will probably find in any other Japanese manga film.

It was cute and I really enjoyed the characters. Fukushi Sota and Kawaguchi Haruna have made good Yamato and Mei!

Poor dialogue and screenwriting, the story seems too rushed.

A bit boring but tbh I watched this movie many years ago ...  my memory is so weak and I can't remember everything, I will avoid making reviews and comments on it ;;

I'm thinking... good acting. I loved the special effects and the characters. The anime style colors are really well made. Some parts may seem silly but I found them funny! 

WHY THIS IS SO FUNNY
first of all, the cast is better than the first movie!! I enjoyed it so much, many parts were fun even if a little stupid :')) ..and I loved the special effects and scenography! I think everyone won't like it, just watch it if you're a fan of the genre ;;

First, this is NOT for everyone. If you are not a fan of Takashi Miike please avoid watching this movie. He is a highly prolific and controversial Japanese filmmaker and his films range from violent and bizarre to dramatic and family-friendly. His best known works (some of my fav) are: Crows Zero, Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, Blade of the Immortal, etc.

STORY 10
The feeling was like "life is a game", something similar to Battle Royal or alien/game genre. But if we take into consideration the splatter genre (here it is present) we must mention Quentin Tarantino and his masterpiece "Kill Bill". The story is totally crazy and over the top but it never takes itself seriously. Yes, everything happening on screen is absurd. Besides the apparent craziness and trying to survive chaos going around there is also a tiny romance and friendship but remember this is a suspense and horror/fantasy movie, not romantic story. I think you won't be able to take your eyes off the screen! The survival game is apparently created by Kamisama (God) and each game tests have different skills: Darumasan ga Koronda (symbol of perseverance and good luck now turns into a deadly Daruma), Maneki Neko (lucky cat charm), Kokeshi (japanese traditional dolls), Shirou Kuma and Matryoshka.
Anyway, I liked the plot and all its craziness so for me this movie was interesting and original ;;

CAST 9.0
a BIG applause for Kamiki Ryunosuke that once again left me speechless. He is PERFECT in Amaya Takeru. Please support him because he is really good (ex. his role as Seta Sojiro in Rurouni Kenshin or Takagi Akito in Bakuman). Another of my fav J-actors is Fukushi Sota. Not always perfect for some but here I appreciated his role. I would have liked to see Sakurada Dori a few more minutes.

First, I love the cast! The action scenes were performed in the best way, the music is good and the story was interesting. Recommended!

if this is "goodbye" to their characters I'm really sad.

At first it may seem like a long and boring film but if you follow it carefully it is really interesting and with a simple story. I really enjoyed because it made me discover that behind a piano there is a lot more work than you think. Kento is really amazing even in the simplest interpretations. I will not give a very high rating just because I think it is not my favorite genre but this intrigues me a lot and when I am quiet and have some free time I prefer to watch these movies. If you love the piano I recommend it!

They are adorable and I loved their story! Sugino Yosuke and Nao really played well here ^^

So... the main characters aren't in complete sane mind but the story is great! There are a lot of kinds of emotions that I appreciated, made the movie more interesting!

The special effects were really good and the action scenes were really good as well. The cast was exceptional! I loved the main characters ;;

I honestly don't know how to position it in my rating, but ..I love Minami!!! Her character is really funny and she was very good at playing it. As for the story it's not one of the best and the ending you could expect from the beginning.. but all in all it was nice to see it ;;

The acting of Tao Tsuchiya and Yoshine Kyoko was the main thing that kept my eyes on the screen until the end! They are so good!!

Ryo Yoshizawa is perfect in every role, tbh I loved the whole cast! This movie is not for everyone but it is very significant. There are scenes that have a strong impact on people. I recommend seeing it but you need to be prepared!

Acting & Cast 10/10! Suda Masaki absolutely nailed his role as Haru, I honestly can't imagine anyone else playing him better than him. I loved!

It's not one of my favorite stories but I loved Yamada Yuki here.

It was rush and I'm aware that can't include all the parts in a movie but it was well done! Suzume is so cute.. Mamura and Sensei too! I loved this cast!! (+ final scene of the kiss)

Yamashita Tomohisa was a discovery in this role for me. The female lead (Nana) sometimes made me feel strange. I liked the story and the first kiss during the lesson was a "daydream" ..so cute!! :3

not very sane but it's a good movie! good acting! I think the only scene that really hurt my heart was the final part at the hospital, so sad....

Sibling love, funny movie! Drama is really good too!! I loved Katayose Ryota here :3

I'm not so sure about my rating but it's a fun movie. Some scenes have me really laughing! Good special effects ..even if some pieces of the story are missing.

So much confusion and so much to think about it, really. Sometimes love and adolescent relationships are so difficult to manage and keep under control. Many strong scenes that are hard to forget. One thing that can be noticed was the shooting of this movie. Many times the camera stops in the distance and only takes a certain landscape with the actors playing their part or there are only scenes in the foreground. This is not the case for the whole movie, but there are many moments like this. The actors were great at interpreting their parts! Mhh maybe ..I still haven't fully understood the meaning of this movie but I think I wouldn't be able to watch it for a second time ;;

A very nice movie! I think both protagonists (Kei and Mizuki) were perfect. I love Nagano Mei (Sae) but in this role I couldn't stand her, lol. Although ..in the end I was happy with how she behaved! I'm so sad for Toji (Mackenyu) ..if I had been in his place I don't know how I would have felt ;;

It's not one of my favorites but I think it's good! I was hoping it would last longer, what a sad story ... :(

I preferred the mini-drama more ...much more fun! The final scene of the kiss was very cute :3

This is the proof that I really love Yamazaki Kento even when the character he plays is an asshole. The final part was so cute!! Cast 10/10 because there are a lot of actors that I like eheh I didn't give a 10 to this movie because being treated like 'dog' is not to my liking, but ..maybe if I was like the main character I would have a different thought, who knows ;;

A really great friendship!! I'm still not completely convinced that I'm happy with the way this movie ended, but I think Shuta made the best choice.

a sad love story, I'm still crying.

Leaves you an emptiness inside... a little part of me preferred Drama more because the story is told much better (I also cried more, but that's fine haha). I also loved this movie especially for Miura Haruma, one of my favorite actors ;;

I was hoping that there was a confession of love between Taichi and Chihaya. The movies with happy endings are always my favorites ;;

In this movie there are some scenes that I didn't like / didn't convince me but it was nice to see it! The end was as I expected ;;

Forgetting the initial part "welcoming strangers into the house" I loved this movie.

The story is fun. It deserves to be watch especially for the cast, they were very good!

I found out about Nagase Ren as an actor, I really enjoyed his role here ;;

Before starting it, watch the drama to understand the story better!! The acting was nice and they had great chemistry. The plot is interesting enough. It's not a very original story but I love it! 

Okay, I wasn't expecting this ending but it was good... sad but nice ;; I don't think this will be a movie that I will watch a second time (?)

It's not one of my favorite. Acting is good but the story is far-fetched.. perhaps I would have given a higher rating if there hadn't been the final part of the "walking dance" in the school. I would have corrected other things in the plot but, overall, it was nice to watch ;;

The story was okay, but it was boring. I loved the cast!

Good cast! This movie it was not only hilarious but also sweet. The ending made me feel super happy although, initially, I didn't like the way Kurosaki treated Yu ;;

The plot is ok but the movie proceeds very slowly and seems almost boring if you don't feel like watching it. The characters are mysterious and reserved, you would like to know more about them. Pay more attention to Endo in addition to the main roles. I think the last few minutes were the most beautiful and fun part of the whole movie ;;

Still can't believe this is based on a true story. The beginning was a bit boring but in my opinion it deserves to be seen if you like the friendship-fighting genre (it's entertaining for the most part!). The cast is perfect, I loved Kentaro and Yuki together!

I enjoyed it a lot!! It wasn't over dramatic and had a simple story to tell. It's a particular and cute movie, it may seem boring but in my opinion it was a pleasant story to follow. It does not have the classic school theme plot although there are many similar details. There is good cast so there is good acting: I liked the secondary characters in addition to the 2 main roles, especially that of Mizushima Aki (Hayama Shono).

I liked this story, the affection of the two brothers was so special! Although there was not a good relationship between them because of a girl. I understand he was a secondary character but I wished there were more parts for Shinkai Akira (Kitamura Takumi). Excellent acting! Recommended!

STORY 8
It's obvious that this is NOT for (sane) people with a healthy mind and the serial killers who torture people in every possible and imaginable way considering it an "art" are not my favorite genre, but.. I realize that it was done well and with a somewhat ingenious story but I don't think I will rewatch it for a 2nd time...maybe ??
I think that to watch this kind of movie you need to have a "strong stomach" to see some scenes.
p.s. I didn't expect the last scene, it made me shiver.

CAST/ACTING 9.5
I'm not totally sure that the main actor was a good choice (maybe it's a wrong thing to think). But on this detail I don't even know WHO else could interpret Sawamura Hisashi in a better way. I was also pleased to see Ito Kentaro playing a role here ;;
I am a big fan of Nomura Shuhei and once again the interpretation of his character made me fall in love with him. EVEN IF I still disagree about his death. I am aware that the plot is taken from a manga (which I have not read personally), therefore it is based on the events written there. But flying over these little details in my opinion is a movie that should be watched without getting too emotionally caught by the story told.

STORY 9.0
In most movies made in Japan I always find some parts more boring but when I finish seeing it I am satisfied. This was also the case for Inuyashiki: it's so slow but I liked it, really. The beginning could be a little boring but considering the whole story it was a good movie. The end could already be imagined even if I didn't expect many things. I think the message that wants to convey is clear enough and every person can interpret it in his own way (?).

CAST 9.0
The only strange thing is how possible that a fairly "adult" person could plays a high school boy but not considering this detail about the age of one of the 2 main characters, I loved this cast! But ..I also say that I love every role of Takeru Sato since I think he's a very good actor who always plays his roles as well as he did here.

Starting from the fact that the plot is a rather surreal thing since it is not human people but machines/robot I can say that the special effects were higher than my expectations. The whole final part amused me! I recommend watching this!

Onestly I love how Japanese directors tell stories and show them on the screen. Of course, this is NOT a movie for everyone and now I realize why this has been more criticized than appreciated. I don't think I baptize it as a "masterpiece of the year" but neither as disaster, and I realize (surely) there are works done better than "Hot Gimmick". But I think I'm one of those few people in the world who found it very interesting! So..If it doesn't attract your attention in the first few minutes, I advise you not to keep watching at it because you might get a bad impression and you will be bored. I have never read the manga and I cannot make comparisons, so I will only rely on what I have seen and, in my case, read. For the characters' dialogues, they used very strong and impactful words: offensive phrases referring to women in general and how they can be "used" easily, especially when they are insecure or when they receive too much attention from the opposite sex. If you can't handle this kind of talk, I don't recommend it. And as you can see here, Hatsumi is very unsure of herself despite being Kawaii (pretty). She is struggling with the feelings of love, surrounded by her childhood friends and her onii-chan (brother). Even if the latter does not have a true kinship relationship with her because it later turns out that he had been adopted.

The cinematography of the movie is the first thing you notice and that I really appreciated. I thought that this was beautiful!
Main cast: I found the acting of their roles fascinating, so good ;;

Lastly, watching this movie is at your own risk. If you have an open mind, you appreciate all genres and love to see any teenage story I recommend it. I just wouldn't recommend for the plot because there are parts that I have already seen in other movies.
Example: The Black Devil and the White Prince (2016), Drowning Love (2016), My Brother Loves Me Too Much (2017).

My choice of watching this was based on the cast and the trailer, I wasn't entirely aware of what it was about because I didn't want to spoiler me the plot ;;

The thriller genre (in j-movies) allows directors to be as creative as possible, pushing the bounds of reality farther than most Western movies would allow. This means that when I start a japanese thriller, I'm prepared for anything. Tbh Grasshopper was not the most intense I've ever seen, maybe it was one of the strangest. The plot process is very slow and the editing isn't poor but leaves large gaps which could help viewers understand the story better. These gaps are then filled in at the end of the movie, so.. all your questions will then be answered (?).

In my opinion, the real star here is Ryosuke Yamada in role of Semi. The interpretation of his character made me want to watch him until the last minute, because I wanted to find out more about him and his story. The relationship he had with Iwanishi (who was more like a family member than a friend) I found it very particular because while they fighting they showed their affection for each other. There are 2 others important characters: Suzuki (Toma Ikuta) an elementary school teacher seeking revenge for the death of his girlfriend and Kujira (Tadanobu Asano) an assassin haunted by the ghosts of those he has killed, including his father.

It's a story with a sad ending, but it's not entirely. Many factors present in this movie you will surely have already seen, but I would recommend it mainly for the actors I mentioned earlier ;;

It was spectacular and I think it's my first time to watch a J-movie based on World War II.

The story is set in 2004 after Matsuno's funeral, her grandchildren Kentaro and Keiko discover that Oishi Kenichiro is not their biological grandfather and therefore they decide to discover the true story of their family: their biological grandfather was called Miyabe Kyuzo, who died in the Pacific War as a Kamikaze pilot. Miyabe had an astute ability as a pilot of fighter planes, but he was extraordinarily afraid of death. Thus begins his story told by his war companions, at least from those who survived: initially it turns out to be a coward but continuing to investigate it turns out not to be.

The plot is not slow in my opinion because based on how the story is told this procedure of facts is right. I'm not good at 'history' so I can't say anything of what has been told but I found interesting.

You could already imagine the little final love story as it had happened and I appreciated seeing it because it was needed in this plot ;;

Good effects and good cast/acting! If you liked "Pearl Harbor" you might also like this, so.. recommended!

I mainly chose it for the cast, I wasn't entirely aware of what it was about. For me this movie is quite good. If you are looking for a horror, this is not the one for you! It's mostly a friendship school drama with a hint of mystery and suspense. The acting is good but not always perfect. I didn't regret watching it but I don't think I'll watch it again ;;

I only watched it out of my pure curiosity.
It is absolutely not my thing. Nothing to criticize about the acting, some parts I also found funny but it is shabby.
