Kataoka Masayoshi was a Japanese television producer and former employee of TV Asahi.

He graduated from Tokyo Denki University in 1951 and from the Electrical Engineering Department at Gunma University in 1953. After graduating from university, he held various occupations before joining Toei Television Productions as a producer in 1960. In 1962, he joined Nippon Educational Television (NET, now TV Asahi) as a producer.

During the filming of the television drama "Shiroi Kottou" in 1967, which required shooting in Berlin, Frankfurt, and Heidelberg in Germany, he began considering the possibility of living abroad in the future. Eventually, he narrowed down his choices to Spain and Portugal, and after conducting comparative research on both countries, he decided to immigrate to Portugal in 1985. After retiring in 1989, he and his wife moved to Portugal.
