Kim Him Chan
- Name: Kim Him Chan
- Native name: 김힘찬
- Also Known as: Himchan
- Nationality: South Korean
- Gender: Male
- Born: April 19, 1990
- Age: 34
He made his debut in January 2012 as B.A.P's sub-vocal, rapper and visual with their first single, "Warrior". They debuted in Japan in October 2013 with a new version (in Japanese) of the same single.
However, in November 2014, the members announced they had filed a lawsuit against TS Entertainment (TS엔터테인먼트), looking to nullify their contracts, claiming unfair working conditions and profit distributions. The agency denied the allegations and threatened to sue the members for defamation. In August 2015, they reached an undisclosed settlement and resumed their activities.
In July 2018, he was under investigation after a woman accused him of sexual harassment.
In February 2019, TS Entertainment announced the group's disbandment.
He made his debut as a solo artist in October 2020 with the digital single "Reason Of My Life". A few days later, he caused an accident while driving while intoxicated.
In February 2021, the investigation that began in July 2018 finally concluded that he was guilty of sexual harassment and was sentenced to 10 months of prison and 40 hours of a therapy program for sex offenders. The charges were appealed by him and also by the prosecution (seeking a longer prison term).
In June 2021, he posted an apology on his Instagram account and attempted suicide, but was prevented by his mother.
In April 2022, he admitted to all charges, and in February 2023, his sentence was confirmed with 10 months in prison and now 50 hours of therapy program.
However, he is also on an ongoing trial after being charged with molesting two women at a bar in Seoul in April 2021 and is suspected of a third case of forced harassment, so the investigation of these cases continued while he served his original sentence.
In May 2024, he received a suspended sentence of 3 years in prison and 5 years in probation for these new charges as he apparently reached an agreement with at least one of the victims.
He is out of the entertainment industry.
