She debuted in 2016 as the group's main rapper, vocalist, and visual with their 1st mini-album, "Welcome to Momoland". The group, managed by MLD Entertainment, was formed after the survival show "Finding Momoland". They had a few lineup changes when new members were added in 2017 but continued to actively promote in South Korea and Japan. She was named MC for Onstyle’s “Beautiful Life” and “The Show” and made her acting debut in 2018 with a role in MBC's "The Great Seducer".
In 2019, it was announced that she left MOMOLAND to focus on her acting career, but she remained at MLD Entertainment. In early 2022, she signed an exclusive contract with 9ato Entertainment and was cast for a role in "The Golden Spoon", which earned her the Best New Actress Award at the 2022 MBC Drama Awards.
