Yamaoka Hisano
- Name: Yamaoka Hisano
- Native name: 山岡久乃
- Also Known as: やまおか ひさの, 山岡比佐乃
- Nationality: Japanese
- Gender: Female
- Born: August 27, 1926
- Died: February 15, 1999
In 1942, she enrolled in the 33rd class at the Takarazuka Music School. She aimed to become an otokoyaku (male role performer) and had planned to use the stage name "Kiyosumi, Akira" but the outbreak and progression of the Pacific War made her feel limited in her theatrical pursuits. Consequently, she dropped out of the music school in 1944 without ever appearing on stage.
After the war, she resumed her acting studies at the Haiyuu-za Acting School and officially joined the Haiyuu-za Theater Company in 1946. She made her stage debut in the same year with the play "Bunka Giin". Her first film appearance was in 1953's "Yassamossa." In 1954, along with two semi-members of Haiyuu-za, she formed the Gekidan Seinen-za theater company. Subsequently, she signed an exclusive contract with Nikkatsu.
In 1956, she married Morizuka Toshi. However, they divorced in 1971. In the same year, she left Seinen-za. From then on, she remained single for the rest of her life.
Yamaoka's sudden retirement, without a clear reason, caused a stir in the media, with various rumors circulating, including the onset of dementia. Yamaoka's actual reason for retirement, however, was reported in a weekly magazine after her death, stating that it was due to her distrust of Ishii, who had misused her name for tax evasion during the filming of Part 3, as well as her poor health, which was due to bile duct stones and liver dysfunction before the onset of bile duct cancer, and her age.
