Tatsuo Endo

Endo Tatsuo

  • Name: Endo Tatsuo
  • Native name: 遠藤太津朗
  • Also Known as: Endou Tatsuo, えんどう たつお, 遠藤辰雄
  • Nationality: Japanese
  • Gender: Male
  • Born: January 30, 1928
  • Died: July 7, 2012
Endo Tatsuo was a Japanese actor born in Shimogyo, Kyoto, Japan.

The eldest son in a family involved in manufacturing and selling confectionery machinery, Endo graduated from Kyoto City Commerce School and supported the family business while attending night classes at Karasuma Technical High School in the mechanical department. His interest in film began early, and he joined a local youth theater group, which led him to join a theater troupe in Kyoto. His involvement in theater and regional tours resulted in his disinheritance from the family business.

In 1955, Endo was selected as part of the fourth batch of New Faces at Shintoho. Despite his acting career, he encountered financial difficulties and worked as a driver and longshoreman before establishing himself as an actor.

He passed away from a heart attack on July 7, 2012, at the age of 84.
