Deng Lun (English name: Allen) is a Chinese actor who made his acting debut in the hit romance drama “Flowers in Fog" in 2013. He graduated from the Performance Department of Shanghai Theatre Academy. He is named as one of China’s most accomplished actors, who has garnered both popular and critical acclaim since his debut. He currently holds the No. 1 spot on the top TV drama record for all the "Post-90s Generation" of actors. He is leading the 'top ratings in prime ratings' with "Because of Meeting You" (1.93%) and the 'most rating break 1%' with five dramas (Because of Meeting You, Sweet Dreams, Ashes of Love, My True Friend, and Mr. Fighting).

In 2017, he gained recognition for his strong performance in the critically acclaimed period drama "White Deer Plain", which won him the Breakthrough Actor award at Weibo TV Drama Awards. He also won 2017’s Popular Artist award at the 6th iQIYI Scream Night Awards Ceremony. In 2018, he starred as the male lead in two highly-rated TV series "Sweet Dreams" and "Ashes of Love", which ushered the peak of his acting career. The drama "Sweet Dreams" was one of the top highest-rated drama for the year 2018. On the other hand, "Ashes of Love" became a commercial success with high ratings and positive reviews both domestically and internationally. The drama was the 2018 summer vacation’s national ratings champion. He received widespread acclaim for his performance and experienced a surge in popularity.

In 2019, he reaped another bumper harvest through a number of highly-rated series such as "Blossom in Heart", which became the broadcast platform's annual champion; "Mr. Fighting", in which since its broadcast, the series’ real-time broadcast ratings ‘broke 2%’, and became the national ratings champion, and "My True Friend", which won the ‘Special Award for Overseas Drama’ at the 13th Tokyo International TV Drama Festival.

In 2020, he starred in his first film "The Yin-Yang Master: Dream of Eternity". It was a box-office success as it raked in a record of ¥452 million, 10 days after its official theatrical release. His closing credits soundtrack for this film titled "Grave of Infatuation" hit No. 1 on QQ Music, KuGou Music, and DouYin. In the same year, for the long list of endorsements for various products and companies, he was awarded the Most Commercially Valuable Artist of the Year at the 17th Esquire Man At His Best Awards (MAHB).

In January 2021, his closing credits soundtrack titled "Grave of Infatuation" again for the film “The Yin-Yang Master: Dream of Eternity” hit No. 1 on the Asian New Songs Chart. Despite popular demand, he is unwilling to pursue singing as it detracts him from his acting career. In the same year, he achieved the grand slam for the “Big 5” men’s magazines in China, namely: Bazaar Men, GQ, ELLEMEN, L’Officiel Hommes, and Esquire. This is a first for the “Post-90s Generation”.

In January 2022, he was awarded as the Most Popular Actor of the Year at the 7th Global Diplomat Chinese Culture Night.

On 15 March 2022 it has been reported that he has been fined 106 million yuan ($16.61 million) for tax evasion, because he evaded to pay taxes between 2019 and 2020, 47.66 million yuan in personal income tax while failing to pay 13.99 million yuan in other taxes. After the audit he took the initiative to pay part of the tax. His weibo has been taken down.
