Kojima Yoyo
- Name: Kojima Yoyo
- Native name: 小島洋々
- Also Known as: Kojima Youyou, こじま まさじ, こじま ようよう, 小島正次
- Nationality: Japanese
- Gender: Male
- Born: December 16, 1891
- Age: 133
Born in Okachimachi, Shitaya, Tokyo, he attended Urawa Junior High School in Saitama and later enrolled in the Tokyo Music School. In February 1912, after graduating junior high school, he joined the Imperial Theatre’s Western Drama Department and studied opera under Italian director Giovanni Vittorio Rossi.
After graduating in 1914, Kojima worked as a contracted actor at the Imperial Theatre for two months. By September 1916, he had organized a troupe with other stage actors. In 1918, he founded the Kessakuza and performed at the Osaka Asabe Club before forming another troupe with Ishii Baku and Sawa Morino. Later that year, he joined the Matsushosai Tenka troupe as head of the opera division.
In December 1920, Kojima is reported to have joined Nikkatsu's Mukojima Studio to transition into film acting, though some sources suggest he joined in October 1922. In April 1923, he moved to the Imperial Kinema Ashiya Studio as a leading actor. After the split of Imperial Kinema in 1925, he transferred to Ashiya Film Production.
He returned to Imperial Kinema and was transferred to the Nagase Studio in 1928, continuing with the studio after it became Shinko Kinema in 1931. In 1935, he moved to P.C.L. Film Production, which merged with Toho in 1937. He remained with Toho until the end of World War II, during which time he married and had a daughter, Kojima Kurumi, who later became a child actress.
Post-war, Kojima continued with Toho until moving to Shin Toho in 1948. After his wife's death in 1953, he transferred to Toei Tokyo Studio in 1954 and retired in 1962. His later years and date of death remain unknown.
