Since then, starting with Toyoko, he has written for many films such as Toei, Daiei, Shochiku, Tokyo Eiga, Takarazuka Revue, Toho, and Nikkatsu. In charge of the script for "Miyamoto Musashi" (Toho), which was originally written by Eiji Yoshikawa (20-1-51-5) and directed by Hiroshi Inagaki. This work won the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film (then Honorary Award) the following year. At this time, it was Toshiro Mifune who played Miyamoto Musashi. Rentaro Mikuni played the role of Musashi's childhood friend Matahachi, and Kaoru Yachigusa also played the role of Otsu. He wrote all the scripts for the Miyamoto Musashi trilogy, including "Miyamoto Musashi", "Continued Miyamoto Musashi Ichijoji Battle" (1955), and "Miyamoto Musashi Complete Edition Battle Iwaryushima" (1956).
