Takiguchi Shintaro was a former Japanese actor and announcer born in Shiba-ku, Tokyo. His wife is actress Okada Yoshiko.

In April 1925, he joined Inoue Masao's troupe after graduating from Sakurada Elementary School and appeared as a child actor in the stage play "Rashamen no Chichi". He made his movie debut in "Kyo Tsuta Ippeji".

In 1943, he was called by the Army after appearing in the movie "Umi Yukaba", and was stationed in Manchuria. He became a first-class soldier in the 24th Infantry Battalion. In August 1945, he was taken as a prisoner of war by the Soviet army and got detained in Siberia with many other Japanese soldiers.

After his release, he remained in the Soviet Union because he sympathized with the idea of ​​socialism, and became a Japanese announcer at the Khabarovsk Broadcasting Station. Edit Biography
