Lee Wei is a Taiwanese actor born in Taipei, Taiwan. In 2000, he debuted as a member of the group WEWE.

He graduated from the Department of Information Management at Kangning College of Medical Care and Management. He is the cousin of the artist Li Yi. His younger brother is a weight loss and fitness blogger known as Yi Xiu.

While studying at Kangning Nursing School in 1998, he was discovered by a talent agent while working at a Uni-President convenience store. Initially uninterested, he was persuaded by the agent for nine months before finally agreeing to pursue a career in showbiz.

In May 2001, WEWE terminated their contract with Artista Box Password and joined the Creativity Group to pursue a record release.
