Horie Shinobu is a Japanese actress and tarento. She makes her debut as an actress in 1983 after winning the Heibon Punch Idol Award at the Clarion Girl Contest.

In 1987, Horie want to get thinner by trying to diet herself, and later on the following year, she was admitted to the hospital for examination. She initially suffered from an ovarian cyst, and she later recovered but soon after, she was transferred to her hometown hospital in Nagoya. Horie was granted permission to go out temporarily, but her condition soon deteriorated. She was able to celebrate her 23rd birthday in the hospital room, but she was unable to get up from bed.

On September 13, 1988, she died of stomach cancer at the age of 23. Edit Biography
