Kim Jong In, better known by his stage name Kai, is a South Korean singer, model, actor, dancer, and entertainer. He is a member of the South Korean-Chinese boy group EXO and the supergroup SuperM. Kai joined SM Entertainment after winning in the 10th SM Youth Best Contest in 2007.

EXO officially debuted in April 2012. Kai debuted as a member of the K-pop supergroup SuperM with the group's self-titled debut EP on October 4, 2019. Kai debuted as a soloist in November 30, 2020 with the release of his first EP titled KAI and its lead single “Mmmh”, becoming the fifth EXO member to have debuted as a solo singer. A year later in November 2021, Kai released his second EP titled “Peaches”.

Apart from his musical career, Kai made his acting debut as a lead in the web drama “Choco Bank” in 2016.

Kai is also well-known in the fashion industry. He has been selected as the first ever male Muse of Bobbi Brown Cosmetics, Gucci Global Ambassador, Face for BlackYak Climbing Crew, Global Ambassador for Seoul Fashion Week Spring 2022, Charmzone Mask Brand Ambassador and Muse for Yves Saint Laurent Beauty.

After 1 year and 7 months, Kai made a solo comeback with the release of his third EP contains six tracks including the lead single tiltled “Rover” on March 13, 2023.

On March 24, 2023, Kai received his first-ever solo music show win with Rover on Music Bank.

Kim enlisted for his mandatory military service on May 11, 2023 as a social service worker and is expected to discharge on February 10, 2025.
