He made his debut in January 2009, joining the band as their new guitarist, vocalist, rapper, lyricist, and composer with their mini album "Jump Up." He was a trainee at FNC Entertainment (FNC엔터테인먼트), and with the departure of Oh Won Bin, the agency decided to include him in the lineup. Despite these lineup changes, they have enjoyed success both in South Korea and around the world.
In December 2019, he announced via his Instagram account that he left the group and the agency. He decided to start a new career as an actor and joined WOORIDLE Company in early 2020.
He enlisted for his mandatory military service on April 27, 2020, and was discharged on October 31, 2021. After being released, he earned roles in the drama "Oh! My Assistant" and in several musicals such as "Jack the Ripper" and "D'Artagnan" and even a theatrical play. He left the agency in late 2023.
In February 2024, he announced his official retirement from the entertainment industry and his plans to potentially move abroad and begin a new stage of his life. He married his non-celebrity girlfriend in June 2024 and considered the possibility of moving abroad, but no new information has been given.
