Since this lakorn is getting a remake in 2020, I thought I would write a review ^^

I've seen this lakorn twice, my only reason for re-watching it is not because it was exceptional. It was mainly because I am a fan of Bee and Namfon. I've seen 3 lakorns where they are paired together and I really like seeing them as an onscreen couple.

The storyline is like a twisted version of Cinderella. TBH in 2000s era lakorns if there is a storyline where our FL is being manipulated/used/abuse by family etc the FL character is a push over. Tawan, our FL is a push over and is blinded by a depth of gratitude she has for her uncle and aunt that raise her when her parents died. She is our typical neang'ek - proper lady, big hearted, kind, generous, good at everything etc. Her aunt and cousin are truly evil, selfish and money hungry. They have no problem deceiving people and even killing people. The way they talk and make plans about it like it's an everyday and normal thing. Her aunt and cousin only loved and cared about themselves and each other and treated Tawan like dirt and garbage. I can't wrap my head as to why Tawan is still loyal and feel that she has a depth of gratitude towards them when they treat her like garbage. We see at times that she has spunk and can stick up for herself - like how she was firm with Suthi, when she was negotiating with the kidnappers for Toh and Yardfah.

Toh, for being a person who is smart he sure is pretty dumb and blind towards the Duangjai and Yardfah. How he could not see the manipulation with the mother and daughter pair, their attitude and treatment towards Tawan just blows my mind. He needed Suthi to spell things out for him numerous times. I didn't have an issue with Toh's character until he forced himself onto Tawan and just verbally degraded her. Blows my mind how he came to that conclusion and all. But hey, its a lakorn in the 2000s, that is the normal logic in these types of lakorns unfortunately. Personally I felt that he should have tried harder on searching for Tawan when she ran away. Like why are you so defeated when you have more at stake and you now know the truth but can't track her down?

Overall it is a decent lakorn but you just need to be aware of the "typical" lakorn logic especially the logic in the 1990-2000s era. It may not sit well with alot of people, especially in 2020.
I personally enjoyed it because I like Namfon and Bee, especially seeing them as an onscreen couple. P'Gew was honestly my favourite character, she's the only sane person.

I'm looking forward to the remake to see if they make our ML smarter (LOL) and our FL with a little more backbone.

This lakorn has been one of my favourites since I was young. I'm surprise to see no reviews for this but a few ratings. I thought I'll submit one - though I may be bias because this is one of my favourites and I don't really have a real reason as to why.

I originally watched it in khmer with mayura dubbed on VHS, found it on vickii and youtube many years ago in thai and mayura dubbed. My thai isn't fluent but I've watched this many many times.
I would like to say thank you to spicycurry21 for helping me watch this lakorn again. Now onto the review!

Story: One of your typical mafia drama where you have someone who tries to outsmart the mafia(s), cheat, steal, tries to have a scape goat and is greedy. Karma will definitely take care of this. Lots of action, fighting scenes, gun shootings, kidnapping and running and hiding. One of the best things about the olden lakorns is that there rarely isn't unnecessary side plots and side drama and it doesn't interfere with the main storyline.
The leading couple hates (loves) each other and their romance/relationship is your typical push and pull.

Komute follows our female lead around Palin to bully here and tells her how she stole his sister's husband. He takes every chance he has to tell her how worthless she is and how bad she is. This is an extreme bully the girl you like. I've watched a few of the ML lakorns and he tends to play this character with FL a few times. He plays this type of role well and thai dramas at that time had a handful of ML and FL with this type of character. But no matter how mean our Komute is to Palin he is always there to rescue her each time. He is such an alpha.. geezes LOL. Also when he has a moment of weakness he shows clearly how inlove he is with Palin (hiding in the mountain, hospital). Also the cello tape kiss is one for the books!

Palin, we first see her as a timid character who allows herself to get bullied by her family. She wants to follow her father's wishes to listen to her uncle. The uncle honestly, he is just selfish and one of the worst. And he is the older brother.. greedy and he deserves his fate. As the lakorn progresses she stands up for herself more - including self defense. Her cousins are just rude people, always trying to throw her to Chanon (his mom is just as bad as him, honeslty). Palin's aunt is the only one who truly cares and has a conscience.
One thing that is really funny and the brother/sister pair truly deserves it was the ladder scene (and they try to blame Palin). They try to throw her off for escaping to SAVE THE UNCLE'S ASS ABOUT THE STUPID RING, ends up getting on the ladder - fighting with each other on it and falling down when all the servants let go.

James and Alice are my favourite support characters. I'm surprise they manage to hide their connection to the mafia for the length of time that they did.

Whenever I'm bored and don't know what to watch, I find myself looking to re-watch this. Very few lakorns make it to my re-watch list, and this is definitely one of them. This lakorn isn't the greatest but it's been one of the most enjoyable. It has a good mix of romance and action.

The storyline for this lakorn is pretty standard – royal families are under attack by rebels, the country’s princess needs protecting/saving. Although the storyline is typical and standard it was enjoyable to watch. Like it’s sequel there is lot’s of fighting scenes, action, gun shooting etc. Our ML Pasu isn’t shirtless as often as the sequel but there’s still lots of eye candy there.

The romance between Pasu and Chai Joi is cute and I’m glad that they cleared their misunderstandings earlier on. (Though it took them almost 2 episodes to clear which got me screaming). The main focus of the plot was getting Kiriluang back from the General Angu. Personally I was disappointed about the battle between Yuparach+Pasu with General Angu and his army. It was not a satisfying resolution – I feel that it could have been resolved better.

Around ep 6-8ish I got a little bored with the storyline as it was predicable and not as exciting. It picked up again mid ep 10/11 towards the end.

Side note: I watched the sequel first and then watched this because as we know this is a two part as our ML is a twin. This was about the younger twin and the sequel is about the older twin. I was hoping that in this one they would address the twin thing and how he may have gone missing – but that didn’t happen. I felt that was a missed opportunity to link and tie up the two. Throwing it at the end and briefly mentioning it for 30 seconds was disappointing. The only connection I got was Paothep because he appears in both – and even then I was wishing they would explain how he got stationed in Praiwaree.

The best thing about this lakorn was the location it was filled.
The scenery is beautiful and that is one of the things I loved the most about this lakorn.
The storyline is nothing to be excited about honestly, I gave it a higher rating because of the cast. Any lakorn with Ning or Num in it, I've always enjoyed and their individual acting makes it enjoyable. I wish more of Num's older lakorns are widely available because his acting as always been really good, even if the storyline is bland.

The main drama of the storyline is family conflict. Our FL's sister in law is super negative and judgey towards her for no reason and after FL''s father's death she wanted to kick her out. Took advantage of it while FL's brother was in Korea.
We also have our ML's sister, Lek who has her own mental issues and is possessive and straight out crazy regarding her brothers. She is so focus on material possession and very selfish for her own gain. Truly her possessive love towards her older brothers, she means well (she see's whos after them for money/status/possession and drives them away - truly a force to be reckon with) but she presents it in a toxic way and causes alot of stress and problems onto others.

FL's character at the beginning of the lakorn was strong and not weak-willed but I didn't like how she was quick to put up her walls with ML especially regarding the ex-girlfriend. That was frustrating. How many times did our ML try to explain and tell her what is going on but have always come to a misunderstanding.

I personally thought it was stupid that they had the old employee make an appearance at the end to try to hurt ML... it wasn't necessary and all issues have been resolved already. Felt unneeded.

I know there is a remake- I think the storyline from the remake is fairly different from this version base on the synopsis. Overall it is good lakorn, very chill and not overly dramatic.
Num has two songs in this lakorn- one is the opening and the other is such a sweet song.

I started watching this lakorn because of Pop – I was thoroughly entertained with the character he played and it has been the most different type of character I’ve seen him play. Its silly, ridiculous and childish compared to the more manly/mature and sensible characters he has played. I really really want to see him play more leading roles because he has the potential, he is such a versatile actor and he’s hella fine *swoon* Enough of my rant over Pop!
I was preparing myself for a whole lot of angst and tragedy with this one base on the synopsis. It wasn’t as tragic , there was a good mix of drama, angst, tragedy, romance and COMEDY.
I was pleasantly surprise that they didn’t make it cliché on Belle forgiving and understanding Nai Noi. It was realistic how she came to find out – our FL is not naiive, blind or stupid. She is very smart and extremely reasonable. She’s very level headed and reasonable – even with Chakrit. Chakirt has tried to manipulate her to hurt Nai Noi. Although she is also stubborn and falls for it, she does not get completely sucked in. It frustrated me how stubborn she was about Nai Noi, but in the end she came through. As Belle puts the pieces of the puzzle together and realizes Kawin is Nai Noi / Mark we see that she understands though she is still scared. It was pretty realistic and I was glad this was played out well and not cliché or abrupt. Although Nai Noi was not the one who pulled the trigger and killed Belle’s family we really see how much this has affected Nai Noi. He does everything he can to repent for it, making sure Belle has everything including love and family/support. His character is utterly self-less.
Now lets talk about Pong! He is my absolute favourite in this entire lakorn. I wish he had more screen time, especially with Mei Hua. I really wanted to see more of their interactions, their friendship and romance. It wasn’t enough. Pop killed it here. I was CRYING in the last episode because of him LOL. I don’t want to spoil, but it is a good kind of crying, I thought I was going to die.
Nai Yai (Nick), Tiankong, Chakrit and Patcharin.. these 4. Damn. Patcharin is the most wicked and evilest in this entire lakorn and I feel for Chakrit. Chakrit deserves so much more and you can see that all he truly wanted was recognition from Nai Yai. Patcharin truly did not care about her son’s well-being or his feelings.. she did not deserve the loyalty Chakrit had.

Krup! Somwung nakrup!

Firstly, the music in this lakorn is fire!
Got's voice is truly one of a kind and really pleasant to listen to.
I've seen 2 lakorns of his that are music theme like this one, and the OSTs there are the best.
I wish more people would write reviews for the older lakorns, they were one of the best.

Our ML Somwung is smitten by Cherdchai who is money hungry and is plotting to get rid of her sugar daddy with her boyfriend. He witness the murder and ends up going into witness protection program with Mali. Mali is hilarious, you question if he really is a cop LOL.
Somwung and Mali go hide out Hongfah's music theatre rantree and he ends up becoming a singer when their lead singer throws a fit and leaves.
The arguments Somwung and Hongfah have are hilarious, and all the supporting characters play their role well. The entire lakorn is addiciting and fun to watch from start to finish.
This is one of my favourite because the storyline is simple and the music is amazing and there is a good dose of comedy.
There is a re-make of this, I haven't been able to watch it completely, but I still prefer the original.
This is one is an all time favourite of mine in the musical categories of lakorns and I've re-watched many many times.

A remake of this lakorn is in the works, so I decided to write a review for the original!
If I'm able to find the re-make I do plan to watch it.

Firstly, the music in this lakorn is one of the best. I really enjoyed it and I'm happy I found the OST album on Spotify!
Our FL is a singer IRL as well, which what makes this really enjoyable.

Since there isn't a synopsis for this, the storyline evolves around our FL, Pliewlom and her dream is to become a singer. She is known in her village to sing and join the singing competition. Her mom is completely against it and prohibits her from pursuing this. Pliew sneakily pursues her career as a singer while hiding this from her mom with the help and encouragement of our ML. She ends up going to the city, moonlighting as a singer and she encounters many situations and finds out a secret about her mom.

*Spoiler alert*
Her mom is completely against Pliewlom becoming a singer because she herself was one, Pliewlom's father (Pliewlom didnt know him, ends up encountering him as a producer as she continues her career as a singer) who was a producer/manager for Pliewlom's mom. The father has no clue about Pliew because the mom hid it from him and left him while she was pregnant with Pliew.

The storyline is cute, fun and enjoyable, you'll laugh and cry.
The music is great and honestly one of the best. The ending is super cute and our ML can't sing haha.

This started off promising and I really enjoyed the FL character. BUT the storyline was just sooo boring I quickly lost interest. The same thing just keeps happening and it got a pretty ridiculous.
I was suuuuper close to dropping this lakorn. In a sense, I basically dropped this as I fast forwarded 80-90% after ep 13 or so. 30 episodes is just too long for this, with very little character development.. story development and with the same themes over and over again it got boring really fast. If this was 15 eps long it would have gotten a better rating and have been more enjoyable.

Spoiler warning
The writers did P'Vee wrong! I am so so so soooooo mad about this!
There was no reason why he needed to be killed off in that fire! There wasnt a reason to have his character die that way! It was not heroic at all, it was just a sad demise to this character and unjust.
Also, the death of Panu and Winai was just annoying and I feel unnecessary. It was just a quick way out for writers to tie up this portion of the story.

ML and FL chemistry is on fire! *gosh*

I started watching the sequel first and now I'm halfway through the prequel. I definitely enjoyed the sequel more than the prequel because I'm a sucker for bad boys and secret mission.
The lakorn was addicting right from the first episode.

What I really enjoyed the most about the characters is that the ML did not console the FL unnecessarily and from that you can clearly see that her character has grown stronger, less childish and mature.
The romance between Nampeung and Seua Pha was fiery! You can tell that Seua Pha fell for her first, "love at first sight" kind of thing. With Nampeung you see her fall in love with Seua Pha. You can clearly tell Seua Pha loves Nampeung and its really cute to see a "Seua" become a "meaow" because of his wife.
Lots of action scenes, guns, and our Seua Pha is shirtless often which was great eye candy.
I really love the ending of the lakorn and I feel like it was wrapped up well, and it didnt drag on.

Seua Phan and Pajong, they are honestly one of the most evilest characters I have watched in a while. Pajong more so than Seua Phan. I wish they both were punished a lot more because truly their greed, selfishness and evilness deserved to be punished much more.

As someone who watched the original many many years ago, I really enjoyed this remake.
The original was with CH7 and the remake was done with CH3.

My favourite character/pair is Plerng and Tapao. Alex played his character amazingly! I've been following a few of his lakorns and he has aced every role I've seen him play and he's a very versatile actor. I really love Plerng the most, and I think I like this version of his character the best.
Kao is also an actress who has caught my eye and she has nailed every role I've seen her play. Really love the spunkiness and strong fem she portrayed for her character.
I was more interested and engrossed with Plerng and Tapao compared with Gun and Anchan. Their romance isn't as dynamite and interesting and Plerng and Tapao.

Kimmy and Mark, honestly all the lakorns they've played - whether it be together or their own they both shine. Gun in this remake I felt was weaker compare to the original.

I was most impress with Got playing San. I hated San in the original and Got made me hate San here as well. There were some parts that I sympathize with San but his evilness was just really evil.

I really wish we got to see more of Ong. If this follows the original, I'm hopefully we get the sequel. Tho I hope they make the sequel more interesting than the original.

This is your typical revenge/jealously lakorn but at the same time, not your typical revenge lakorn.
I was really happy with the ending and was glad it wasnt tried to be wrapped up in 20-30mins.
The resolution between our main couple was done in about 3 episodes which was done really well and did not feel dragged out, rushed or anything.
The kids are so adorable and their part wasn't filler (as it can be at times with this type of plot). I'm really happy that Prin figured out on his own that the twins are his kids and it wasn't by someone else. I felt so much angst for him when he was trying to recoil with Mita and she just kept being annoying. Mita was very short tempered and fickle with Prin, especially when Prin kept trying prove to her and gain her trust. (Personally he did everything that he could, I would forgive him and give him a chance). She kept putting her walls up and then when something happens she goes "I gave him a chance and this is what he did, I shouldn't have given in". She was blinded by her negative feelings for him and refuse to give a chance.

My favourite character has got to be Chen. His character development is one of the best and I'm glad that he has a good head on his shoulders, he didnt just go along with the toxicity this parents were going on and the (ex)girlfriend.
Also, I didn't understand how Traitot was a Dr.. I'm not fluent in thai but I struggled to figure out where the Dr bit came from? I can only think of PhD.

Also, I love how the producers both had guest appearance and it wasnt a small/short scene thing. I love watching Nino in lakorns growing up and I was super happy to see him play Na's father. ^^

Also, why are the FL alway so fertile? LOL

This took revenge to a whole other level

The synopsis for this isn't entirely accurate but I won't re-summarize this as others have already.

I really hate the ML and his friends. Like attracts like and the ML's character is just so off putting. He is clearly blinded with revenge that spiral from his mother's death. When it looked like he has resolved his feelings and is moving on, he's actually not and has another revenge scheme. He's stupidly handsome but his fixation on revenge got me not liking his character at all. Very pysco-path like. He does have some redeeming qualities but overall, Kiew should have dropped him and walked away. He does not deserve her at all and personally he should have grovel a lot more and not easily forgiven.
And going on the topic of "like attracts like" Kris was not much better. His character is equally pysco-path like Peat and maybe even more so. If I was friends with Katha, I would tell him to run, drop these clowns they're gonna kill you in the amist of trying to either get revenge on their own family or on each other.

Chaya.. I also feel really sorry for her. At first my impression of her character was just stubborn and refusing to move on, but in reality she is just a girl who is blinded by love and being (eventually) being lead on. She was used in Peat's plan for revenge and he did not care about the feelings of his friends.

One thing I got to say is I really enjoyed the OSTs that played throughout the lakorn. They are spot on and really get you in the angst/heart break.

I've seen some people compare this with Ch7's Panthakan Rak. The similarity between the two is that both ML are set on getting their revenge against the father's wrong doing to their mothers. (Also their father is not actually their father). Tra Barb See Chompoo is definitely much dark, more angst and a stronger revenge theme than Panthakan Rak. Panthakan Rak storyline is lighter (in comparison).

This is honestly one of the best lakorns I have watched. It takes a lot for me to give a high rating for a lakorn and to put it on my re-watch list. This one definitely makes the cut. You’ll be hooked from the first episode. You will laugh, you will cry, you will get mad and you will fall in love.
The story is well written and definitely entertaining. It has the right mix of comedy, romance, drama. The casting is well done and all the cast members played their role really well. You can tell the directors and producers really took the time to search and cast the right actors and actresses for the roles – especially for the background story for Suam’s parents, Danurt’s parents, Direk and Thuanthep.
For once there wasn’t a character I hated. I actually felt sorry for ChutChai and Sia Ha as the lakorn progressed, especially towards the end. You clearly see in his own twisted way Sia Ha truly loved his friend and in his own mind he felt that he was being merciful.
Really loved watching Great and Kao together as leads here. I think this is the first time they are paired together in a lakorn. On screen chemistry is amazing, and Great.. his smile is just dreamy.
Besides the main leads, love the second leads. They're coupling is just so cute. Its funny how she just intrude into his life, and started to do whatever she wanted in his home.

Overall very cute-sy

I enjoyed this lakorn overall. It's a quick watch and if you've watched other U-Prince titles you'll see some re-appearance of some of the characters.

Cherrymilk's personality is what really makes this lakorn. She's so silly and over the top, very enjoyable. Her character was well written and there was more depth. Personally the Survey's character felt really lacking, I felt lost on trying to understand his character. And when he went back to his country... what was he doing for a month? And then to show up and say "I've resolved some things". Just confuses me and it felt really lacking and incomplete. I really wish it was longer so we can see more character development. I would have really liked it if they explained the backstory regarding the crown, the war and how the country got into the current state that it is in. Would have made the lakorn alot better and rated higher.

Overall this lakorn was very cute, quick pace and enjoyable. The storyline is your average type of romance. There no real drama or crazy-ness it's a really light hearten cute story.

I've watched the Taiwanese version and Korean version of this and I do prefer the thai version of this drama.

Throughout the drama, Pawut's laugh grew on me. When he first laughed, it was weird LOL
I really like the way his character was written in this version, I was more natural on how he fell in love with Nid. His character was a huge jerk and as cold.
Nid's character was also alot better in this version.

If I were to pick one version to recommend to someone, I would recommend the Thai version of this drama. The story is alot better, characters are portrayed well and the storyline is better written.
