YOU HAVE TO WATCH IT BUT FIRST...

Despite what others think, I loved the drama. I'm sincerely so tired of how dramas usually start with the guy being ruthless at first then you never get to see his ruthlessness once he gets together with the girl. But this drama? It's consistent.

The intense male lead is what first made me interested in My Lethal Man, but as you watch it, you'll realize how perfect the girl is. I understand how most people couldn't wrap their minds with the idea that the girl looks exactly like the male lead's sister. To be honest, I had the same feelings at first. However, when you come to realize that they have been apart for 17 years without contact, you'll start to be more accepting towards the plot. You'll realize that yes, the guy indeed loves his sister with all his heart, however, he loves the idea of his sister when she was younger. He doesn't have any attachment to his sister's face or the way she looks now that they're older because he didn't spend his years growing up with her.

In terms for romance, this is where you'll see how the girl proactively fights for their love. She was the first one to confess, and at every point, she was unafraid to show her true feelings. When she says "I love you", she always follows up with the question, "Do you love me too?" (not in a pitiful and pathetic way but in a light-hearted way). With a keen eye, you'll notice how the guy is always the one who gets the better end in their relationship especially with how chivalrous the GIRL is- her always telling the guy she'll protect him, her willingness to accept the blame, her picking him up from work, her kissing his hand, and other details. You'll realize how the guy is always the one who feels giddy and kilig. The girl literally is his home.

Acting: Tbh, I think the guy effin' carried (not that the female lead didn't do well, she perfectly played her part too). I love how lethal and deadly he looks in most scenes. One thing you must take note of is his hair. You'll notice how the scene would play out with his hair and this little detail just the drama more enjoyable. Hint: hair when he's with the girl, and hair when he's going to the office or when he's on an errand alone.

Honestly, amazing directing. I love how when the male lead feels vulnerable, you don't see it right away, but you see it with the way he acts- through the way he slightly bends to hide his face in the girls neck to how he sits down on the floor to signify just how low he's become (or feeling).

Tbh, I loved the drama. It was a good one, but I hate how sometimes, I couldn't see the emotion on their faces due to the whitening filter. When shots are taken from afar, I can see how amazing the actors and actresses convey their emotions but during close up shots, I could't even see how the tears falls down their faces (sometimes, it just seemed as though they were trying to cry without the tears which makes it a bit funny). Oh how I could only wish Chinese productions won't feel the need to whitewash their actors anymore.

Hope to see more dramas like thisšŸ˜

GREENEST GREEN FLAG OF THE HISTORY. Easily redefined my idea of my ideal man

This drama was sooo easy to watch. A perfect drama to end the yearšŸ’œ. No heartbreaks, no conflicts, just genuine growth of love.

The male lead is the type of person that once he sets his mind to something, thatā€™s it. Heā€™ll never give up. That is exactly how he felt for the female lead. No hesitations, no doubts, and no what ifs. Just straight out love and dedication.šŸ˜ He doesnā€™t give the girl a reason to doubt him. This man reassures the girl at every point. Most comforting lines where when the girl asked, ā€œarenā€™t you afraid that I might love your voice more than I love you?ā€. Then he replied, ā€œwell the part that you love about me is still me right?ā€.šŸ˜

Although a bit timid and shy, I especially loved the female lead for being honest. Since she doesn't have much experience with relationships, she tells the guy, "you can be assertive at times" when she feels like they're going too fast, and she doesn't say it in a way that antagonizes the guy, she says it in a soft and comforting way. I cherish how the male lead would react with no sense of anger or sadness. He just literally listens to the girl and they both do everything to strengthen their relationship. Female lead was amazing at portraying her role. Can't wait to watch more of her.šŸ’œ

Characters: Wholesome characters. Everybody gets a happy ending which is why I said this is a perfect drama to watch when you want to boost your mood and have a positive outlook in life. No jealousy among and between characters. This drama shows us what having supportive people around us feel likešŸ„ŗ

Chemistry: They're first kiss took long but let me tell you once they start, there is no going backšŸ˜† They are so clingyyyy and I LOVE it! It was so fun to watch. Got me feeling single and all that. TBH, I WAS KICKING MY FEET and SMILING SO HARD IN JUST THE FIRST 2 EPISODES!!

Music: Traditional music was highlighted in this drama and let me tell you, this drama has completely change my perspective. I suddenly found TRADITIONAL music beautiful and majestic.

At the end of it all, I was reminded that you can be everything you want. The characters in the story are all amazing people in their own way (and the drama especially highlights that those who are in a better position than you or those who you idolize, are just people who started earlier than you). Mo Qingcheng is a doctor, a dubber, an amazing cook, and now a director. Jue Mei is a ceo, a dubber, and a founder of their company. AND MANY MORE CHARACTERSSS

Rewatch value of this for me is so high! COMFORT drama of the year.

A drama to watch if you don't want to binge...

This is a great drama to watch if you're looking for something about investigation, mystery, and discovery. However, there isn't much romance between the lead couple until the last few episodes.

I feel like the producers or creators tried so hard to make it a drama that's not all about romance to the point that I felt like there was little to no romance. Don't get me wrong. Warm on a Cold Night has a fantastic ending for the lead couple, but I just wished I could have gotten the chance to see more moments with them.

Also, I wanted a better explanation of the villain's story and a better ending. Why was he so kind to his "brother"? Although, he mentioned that he didn't know why he acted kindly to him. I hope they gave the villain more character by giving him more flashbacks on how he developed his affection for his "brother." I was also upset with how his side of the story ended. He'd live the rest of his life alone, while all this while, he was living in a different world with strangers to create a brighter future for his clanmates (albeit in a not-so-good way). I feel like he was a misunderstood villain.

There were times when I felt like the drama was dragging. Unlike other dramas I used to watch, I didn't have to force myself away from the screen. In fact, I needed the breaks I took because, like I previously said, there were times when the drama felt too dragging. On a different note, the drama has a good plot with many surprises that would really make you ponder and think. However, I feel like they tried to keep the suspense on some parts for too long to the point wherein I kinda lost interest and enthusiasm to uncover.

Acting-wise: it's the typical jealous, shocked, confused, and kilig expressions. Only a little breakthrough for both actor and actress, considering that I've been following them for a few dramas now. Although, I'm not sure if I'm the right person to speak about this, especially since I had high expectations of the drama.

All in all: light drama, good lighting (and no whitening filter on the actors and actresses!!!), and a good plot.

I sincerely loved this drama.

It was so easy to watch, and there were no unnecessary issues and fights between the main lead couple. While Go Go Squid 1 was about the reality of how some people have to fight for their love, Season 2 was about how love and staying in a relationship can also be easy and unproblematic.

Wu Bai has loved her for 10 years. Ai Qing was the reason why he joined the sport. She wanted to be a world champion? With that, HER dream became HIS too. He became a better person and player. He became what he deemed as worthy just to be able to stand beside her. Quite literally, he EARNED her love. I love the fact that he set a standard for himself. I love how he truly and wholeheartedly saw her as someone beyond his level, even when he was already the shining star in the sport.

On a different note, I aspire to have Ai Qingā€™s maturity. when she realized that Wu Bai was feeling insecure of their love, she didnā€™t simply blame him for being insecure, she assessed herself. She pondered on how her actions made him feel as though she didnā€™t love him or he wasnā€™t WORTHY of her love. When she finally realized her mistake, she apologized, and I loved that so much because it is the epitome of a mature woman.

Overall the drama is about the pursuit of dreams of not only the main lead, but also everyone on the story. The supporting roles were essential to make the drama more meaningful and flavorful.

Memorable Drama Quotes:
- Marriage is falling in love with the other person daily.
- Some people overcome fear and move forward. Some people break though and grow swiftly.
- Some people are consistent and never give up their passion. While some people leave for a short time, and come back with their dreams.

It's all about the detailsāœØ

To be honest, this drama is not that bad. When you watch, watch it with your full attention because you will only really appreciate it when you notice the slightest connections between their words and actions. For example, in one episode the girl mentioned that she was spoiled by the guy before he got a*n*s1a. Later on, you're going to see how it was so normal for the guy to serve the girl (e.g., buying her pads) even before he remembered everything. You can also see how the girl was so spoiled by the guys with the fact that she doesn't get shy when the guy does something for her. She makes it seem as though the sweet things that the guy does is nothing short of what is "expected" from him. Aside from this, I love the fact that the girl knows so much about the sport, it shows that she's not there for the guy rather she found her passion because of the guy. As an athlete before, I love how the drama portrayed how the mindset of every athlete should be. It shows that when athletes trains, they shouldn't aim to beat other people, but only to become a better version of them. Like I used to think during training, "I am the person I need to beat". This drama shows how even the most talented athletes can be ruined when they focus on others rather than themselves. Lastly, I love the fact that mental health is so important to these athletes. I sincerely envy the fact they have that type of support. I envy how in China, being an athlete can be a profession while in mine, an athlete shouldn't even think of pursuing their sport once they reach a certain age.

The play girl and the man who only loved once.

Love to hate you was a quick and easy watch. No heavy crying here:)
It was a perfect combination of a funny, amazing cast, and a well-written storyline.

Characters: The girl is the epitome of a strong independent woman AT EVERY POINT. This isn't the type of drama wherein the girl is strong at first then when she gets together with the male lead, she just somehow ends up in situations she can't handle on her own. No no no. Amazing woman from the start till the end. As for the guy, he's not the type to be all macho, cold, and all that which we usually see in dramas. You'll see the bromance between him and his best friend which I think is a great addition to the drama to battle toxic masculinity in society. However, he IS (indeed) very distant from the entire female population. haha

Romance: All I can say is, a mature type of love. It was so easy for them to discuss things like how the guy admitted that the other girl was indeed his first love and how that girl was trying to rekindle their past relationship. There isn't unnecessary jealousy between them even with the fact that the guy is closely working with his first love (and mind you, it was his first and only love back then). On a different note, I love how they can calmly sit down and intently listen to the person talking about their concerns and why they wish to take things slow (aka. take a break).
Watch it so you'll know what I'm talking about then tell me if you also noticed it HAHAHAHA

To be honest, this is one of those dramas wherein both leads feel safe and secure in and with their relationship. They know that if it was up to them, there would never be a reason for them to break up. All in all, it was an amazing leisure watch. Comedy, action, story, and oh! Beautiful OST :) But then again, it's a kdrama. When has there ever been a Korean drama with uncompetitive music?

Last thoughts, I love how recently, there have been more and more dramas about idols and actors/ actresses. It somehow closes the distance between you and your idols. At first, you'll never imagine how a famous person gets into a relationship, but I feel like the recent trend of dramas about idols and actresses/ actors can be an avenue for fans to be more supportive of their idol's relationship.
