Honestly i think song san deserves better.. the scriptwriter should have put him as the male lead as he has more chemistry with the female lead. The female lead couldn't move on when the male lead already broke their relationship multiple times.. Honestly it was the male lead's choice if he wanted to accept the decree or not, he chose to for his ambition when he could chose to stay away from political affairs. The only good character is song san , he deserves better. He is also the one fathering her child.. In some times song san was the only one playing and raising the kid, the father(male lead) did not even wanted to recognize or even bother to tell the child that he was his father, he didn't even care. Its honestly messed up, the scriptwriter should improve on the character development of the male and female lead.

It is very frustrating to watch. Please improve on this scripwriter.
The male lead( xing zhao ling) also wasn't displaying emotions in some part just emotionless.
The male lead is a red flag when multiple times he tried to abandon her and even lost contact with her for 3 years. She had to raise the child by herself but the femalelead in the script, she is attatched to him. Please have a better character development. The play also described the fl as a person that does not know how to move on. The best character is song san as he raised her kid and kept pursuing her and she didn't even gave him a chance?? But people have to learn to move on... Also, the male lead, pei could have the chance to abandon his title and stay with niao but he chose to accept the marriage decree and there was literally no political corruption in the movie. For the first few episodes, why did she just fell in love with someone she just met.. There are plenty of ways but this???
