Don't waste your time on this one

Let me get straight to the point what I liked about this BL:
1. It had a good start with a amnesia trope.
2. It had a good start for an angst love story of someone leaving for abroad and the lover meeting an accident.
3. There was backstory for this couple from cutie pie.
Rest is all about making money through sponsors and it was a promotional for 2 more BLs starring the main couple from Cutie Pie and the side couple from the same. It was a fan service for people who like this pairing. But that's it
1. Nat and Max pairing doesn't work for me. Both seem awkward with each other and to be honest both need a lot of acting classes. Max could do better paired with some other actor of his level and physical stature.
2. This was like one of those Marvel movies who's only plot is to cover the potholes of previous movies and set the stage for the next ones.
3. Filled with intense melodrama done by actors who make it look a wasted effort.
4. A CGI tiger when you could have added items from NatGeo or other documentaries?
5. The character of Diao was made to look pathetic as hell.
I don't think I should bash this BL any more. It probably has fed a lot of people and given them good opportunities. So kudos in making a project and I am hoping to see Max with some other BL actor cuz he's really got potential. But if you are choosy about BLs don't watch it. I am choosy so I dropped before things got more messy.

A good BL that won't leave a lasting impression

Coming straight to points let me jot down the positive points first:
1. It had excellent entertainment value. I mean for people who enjoy chaotic drama, this was good.
2. It was realistic most of the time starting from how friendship and relationships can be in university days, especially amongst teens in 2023.
3. With so many actors, the drama could have major execution issues as all of the characters were linked to each other. They did a good job making it a hot mess that landed pretty well.
4. Love the fact that they were using "gay" and "bi" terms instead of making straight characters gay just like that. They also showed how difficult understanding sexuality can be and people at times mess up when they're understanding themselves.
5. I love the fact that Ton doesn't change in the end and atleast Nick accepts him how he is and moves on. Shows that some people should be alone while some should move on and never lower their bar.
6. The actor playing Ton did an awesome job cuz we all hated Ton to the core and as far as I know, the actor is a very cute and decent person in real life.
Now comes the negative points why it won't be remembered in the long run:
1. Chaos is good but there was nothing to learn from this drama. No message no nothing. Just chaos.
2. Anyone who's not studying in university will hardly relate to the characters cuz this infact is more like a sandwich of Queer UK webseries and any US teen drama. The concept itself is immaturity, so relating to the characters was difficult.
3. Some characters are too detestable and no backstory is provided so that we as audience atleast sympathize with them. Top and Ton being central characters are not detestable cuz they did the deed but the way they felt the remorse. I mean Top has a really shitty attitude and was too confident about himself althroughout flaunting dad's money whenever he could. No backstory about why he is what he is. Ton is rather down to earth but truly backstabbing and shameless which became irritating at times. Same no backstory.
4. The revenge sub plots fell short cuz nothing eventually happened. It was always nipped at the bud to add more melodrama.
5. I didn't like TopMew coupling. I don't know why it didn't work probably there wasn't much chemistry. Instead, I think SandRay were the star of the show. They need to have their own sequel.
All in all it was a good watch but I am unsure if I will recommending it to my friends. I had very high expectations and I guess that's why I am left a little unsatisfied.

A bl with huge potential fell flat due to poor execution

Well I am going to come straight to the point and jot down the positive points first
1. This was a bl with immense potential cuz it had actors with extremely good visuals. Plus the actor who played Mr Jeng was on point with his mannerisms and expressions. I loved the character.
2. There were scenes that honestly made me laugh. No sarcasm I really did laugh and giggle.
3. I loved few side characters like Chot and I really wish they make a sequel of him and Krit his partner falling in love 8 years back.
4. The bl was realistic in many ways how toxic office culture is.
But that's it I guess.
Now comes the reason why this fell flat
1. There was no binding agent in the various sub plots. Some items didn't even mean sense as to why they were added.
2. Mr Jeng is the only round character who had a change in his personality and although it's being said that Pat has become more mature, his constant whinning infront of his colleagues was heavily unrealistic and honestly irritating, which ultimately makes him a flat character that never changes throughout.
3. The actor playing Pat has to go through a lot of acting classes to be able to perfect the role of Pat cuz even if you're a fresher, at one point you don't break down and cry in front of colleagues even if you're being fired. You express your disappointment through subtle expressions and words, not by letting your snot drool over your face.
4. I didn't realise this was a mature bl until the very end episodes. In the first episodes, it seemed there was chemistry but it severely lacked in the middle and even in the end in the bed scenes. Man aka Mr Jeng did his best to bring the chemistry but unfortunately only one actor cannot drag the entire show.
5. The intimacy was too sudden. Why Pat couldn't believe Me Jeng liked him and why he suddenly started liking him was beyond me. Gay men have a radar where was that. We never had our bosses running us favors even as women and even if they do we get the hint.
Basically, the direction was at loss. Screenwriters were being misled to make sure there were enough scenes for promoting the drinks and what not. As a director, one must know how to make art and make profits alongside. I feel bas for the plot really had high potential to be a super hot drama.

Why 7 and why not more

So let me get straight to the points why it was worth 7.
1. There was sincere chemistry between the MLs.
2. There was minimal NC scenes and sometimes we need such BLs about young lovers and school life.
3. I liked the character of Kang and his dad as well.
4. The concept was clear from the beginning. There were no unnecessary sub plots and it was a good casual watch for dinner time.
5. Had good scenic visuals and symbolisms.
Okay now the points why I couldn't give more than a 7
1. The other couples and pairings were absolutely unnecessary and much incomplete without any real chemistry.
2. Some parts seemed a drag and I skipped some scenes especially in the middle section of the drama.
3. There wasn't anything dangerous about this romance as compared to the dangers in other bl dramas. Probably the Thai name makes more sense but the English title lacked its vitality throughout.
In and all, it was a good watch for people who want to focus on the main couple and need a relaxation bl drama after Only Friends trauma.
