Heart-breaking beginning, Heart-healing finish
I started watching Shijuukara because of Itagaki Rihito (ML actor) and had no warnings regarding the contents. This show presents dark and heavy topics that a lot of other shows are too afraid to mention, so this already captivated my attention and surprise since early episodes. The best aspect of this show to me is the amazing cinematography! I would say that the worst aspect is the music, because in some occasions the songs didn’t feel appropriate to certain situations… music man wasn’t having it with this one.
I loved the heck out of the realism touch Shijuukara had. Japan indeed does romance best. Definitely recommended!

Help. The songs are stuck in my head.
[[FIRST EPISODE SPOILER ONLY]]catchy music, adorable family moments, no second lead syndrome (he’s mostly there to cause problems istg, but I know for a fact that men like him exist in real life), and most importantly a dilf male lead!
The reason why I rated acting as 9 is because of the kid. If you already watched some of the episodes, you’ll all notice how the kid is acting not very solidly (well we don’t expect much anyways it’s a child).. but if you are the type that likes to forget that what you are watching is all just a show then the child acting may cause you to remember that this is all acting from time to time which low key sucks. He is after all very relevant to the story.
Personally, I’ve never loved a Korean romance drama this much, so I absolutely recommend it!

Don’t drop it!
If you watched the first episode and considered dropping like I did, don’t do it! During the first 5 episodes the show expects you to get used to the titles, names, relations, and family of main character. Nothing too big will occur as far as I remember. It gets REALLY REALLY good soon after. Interesting characters are introduced, several sub plots are established, and most importantly the romance begins to bloom. The main character isn’t a flawless, know-it-all. She is a girl who self taught herself whatever she could, and is clearly lacking. Family conflicts and discussions make a big part of this show, like every historical drama ever, so if you hate that type of dramas this would be difficult to watch.
I usually avoid C-dramas due to the trashy acting but this one was easy on the eye in this matter.
Absolutely recommended!

High&Low: The Story of S.W.O.R.D. Season 2

S2 did not disappoint!
Usually season 1 of shows tend to be superior to season 2, but with HIGH & LOW both seasons were fire!!I binged season 2 in a single day, which is very rare for me considering I took 3 days to finish season 1 of this same show (which had same episode count and length).
The music for each faction were fantastic (Wu Tang Clan mention really surprised me!), the acting was beautiful, the actors were a blessing upon my eyes (soon your eyes too), and the action scenes were so attention-grabbing (granted season 1 fight scenes were better). Only minor annoyance in this show for a new viewer would be the amount of recaps and flashbacks in this season.
Overall, loved this show and planning to watch the movie next. I Definitely recommend this show for action lovers and morally-gray characters enjoyers!

Was not expecting ASTRO members at all
I used to be an Aroha (Astro fan) a few years ago and I used to watch all their interviews and posts religiously, but I stopped the K-pop stanning phase and haven’t seen or listened to anything they made since their song Baby.I thought the famous actor guy looked familiar in this drama, then I noticed it was Rocky. Once I saw Moonbin who literally still looks like a puppy appear in episode 4 it finally hit me that the 10 years friend was freaking MJ! Honestly did not recognize MJ at all! He looks so mature but even in the show has a playful persona so that was so nostalgic. What’s crazy is that Sanha even popped in on episode 5, literally every ASTRO member except jinjin and eunwoo (who I see in literally every pretty boy drama nowadays haha) is in this! Their acting was pretty solid too surprisingly, especially since they’re idols not actors. Call me biased but them + this wacky story = perfect score from me.

A quirkier version of Kaiji (Japanese ver.)
This is basically Kaiji but with a main character who calls himself crazy because he is obsessed with clowns or something weird like that. He kind of gave off a sober Chinese version of DC's Joker vibe lmao.Anyhow, like its Japanese counterpart, the story is pretty identical in terms of the first challenge (i loved it btw) and the main character is smart and calculative yet soft-hearted, which actually makes you root for him despite me making fun of him in the first paragraph.
I recommend watching this, but Kaiji is even better and there is no cliff-hanger!

Probably the most entertaining tokusatsu for those who don’t usually watch it!
The story is very unique and the concept is super well implemented. Unlike countless Kamen rider shows I have watched, Kamen Rider Ryuki knows how interesting its concept is and doesn’t drift away from it into total chaos unlike many others of the same franchise that I watched.I don't usually watch tokusatsu but since my brother loves them I decided to go ve them a chance and I can say with confidence this one was the most entertaining from all the ones I tried so far. If you are new to tokusatsu and want to start somewhere then I can say with confidence that you should start with Kamen Rider Ryuki!
What especially captivated my interest and respect for this show is that no character is truly good nor evil. If you think about any of the characters’ perspectives, you will realize that their actions are for a reason. Only a few characters are an exception to the morally gray concept though. No further elaboration because it will be a spoiler.
Absolutely recommend it!

Too many generic Thai drama tropes at once
If there was 1 expectation of mine that was met in this show, it’s the basic minimum of expecting stories of several people’s lives that are very different from each other.Other than that, I absolutely disliked the characters, pacing, romance, and plot twists of this show. utterly ridiculous and anything but fun. Don’t get me started on me expecting all couples to be straight couples and yet they managed to plaster some unnecessarily deep caves level of gayness like everyone can keep up with all those pronoun changes per person. On another note, every Thai drama has a trans woman now and this one also has this generic character type but x2.
Aside from that, if you dislike the separate stories interacting with one another very easily then this show isn’t for you. The 3 stories all intersect for some reason even though the show would have been greater if it created small interactions between them only.
Personally, I dropped it. Many other stories do this drama archetype better.

Would be a 9/10 story if the ending wasn’t so garbage (and I’m not even harsh with ratings)
The story was quite unlike other stories, considering an affair usually has 1 married individual and 1 single individual involved, while for this one you have both individuals involved being married. It felt equal and less “horrible” considering the circumstances, so if you begin to root for the two having an affair you’re not alone. Honestly the FL and ML’s reserved but love-deprived personalities match way better than with their man-child and girl-boss partners.I absolutely hated the husband of the female lead. He is a man who acts like a freaking child. The wife of the male lead was just not really fit for marriage, as she always puts her work before even herself. No wonder these marriages turned sex-less
The character archetypes were actually interesting in this story, but what I didn’t like was the chemistry.
