to much going on
i just finished the series that ive been waiting for nearly 3 years for and it felt unsatisfactory,Theres was way too many new characters introduced this season and there wasnt really any closure for the MANY subplots they had going on this season, there was way too much chaos in new storylines to even follow up on the original plot and characters. I felt as if the original cast was being overshadowed and almost hidden with all the new characters that were introduced, they had very brief intros and it didn't quite make sense how it all played out overall. The cgi felt like the creators or animators i should say picked and chose what monsters they wanted to look real versus some looking like a bad video game especially in the first 2 episodes. I really love LOVE hyun soo, eun yoo and cha young the solider i really loved their screen time and chemistry throughout the episodes, it sort of felt like a love triangle which gave it the episodes a more interesting factor. I do have to say i feel like Hyun Soo was completely sidelined and almost hidden most of the episodes and i was really confused as to what he was doing and where he was i feel like he should've been the main focus after he turned into stone at the laboratory but they just completely skipped and he then appeared with yi kyoungs daughter which was very disappointing. This whole story line with yi kyung and her having a monster baby was really unnecessary to me and it made me loose track of the plot even more. The fact she dies with horrible illusions as a monster in the end made me feel so sad and it really made it worse when her daughter didn't even stay with her and just left after turning her into a monster, there was no emotional attachment and it had me confused. Moving on i feel like the stories and plots were left on too many cliffhangers especially the story and history of chief ji, her existence and suspicion was really driving me with curiosity the whole season and she never got disclosed or explained, I also feel like the relationship of the sick girl and the solider had a good focus when it really wasn't needed, This season has too big of an introduction for all the characters then it didn't lead anywhere! i really loved the 1st season and cast so i had to watch this season but it seemed like these three years weren't taken into account into making this season it seems rushed and too chaotic, then to leave on another cliffhanger to wait 6 months for the third season without having any closure is absurd, I watched the whole season 2 in just one day now i will forget everything by the time it comes out ill have to rewatch it!
if eun soo met her brother early on in the show and they had developed a clean story line showcasing hyun soo as the main focus in the lab escaping and finding more infectees like him trying to find equality and safety then expanding the love story with eun soo then introducing solider cha leading to chemistry and action it then would've been so much more enjoyable then having to understand this craziness with yi kyoungs monster baby who had no point in the show at all as well as the focus with the scientist being obsessed with finding all these new monsters! Anyways i've never written a review before so this has been a real rant! Let me know what you thought of the season 2 and well see if this comes to make a little sense in the third season! Hopefully i didn't repeat my self too many times lol and hopefully this doesn't offend anyone who read the webtoon because i did not read it so i don't know if my words are contrast to what the webtoon portrays!

LEFT ME WITH A HEAD FULL OF THOUGHTS
This is a kdrama with every kind of emotion you can think of. But I have to say if you don’t like gore or violence then this may not be for you.this is truly one of the best action, mind bending shows I have ever watched the acting was amazing as well as the selection for the cast and directing.
The key concept that this drama left me with was mending and determining the contrast between good and evil and how it can change our ways and morals beyond to what you would ever expect or imagine. Ji Chan Wooks character shows this marvelously and it was intriguing to see him change as the show progressed, it makes you realize how certain events can really change a persons morals and actions in order to achieve a given goal, how you can grow apart from people as well as deeper understand the people you once misunderstood by stepping into their world firsthand while excluding your own life experiences even your own identity as a whole. This drama had my eyes glued to screen always wanting to know what happens next and how the chatecters will grow and act while living in different environments as well as how their relationships will grow or drift. I won’t spoil the ending so you’ll have to determine your thoughts and opinions on the ending by responding to this review but I have to say that it really left me almost to tears making me think about ones experiences throughout different relationships and ways of life whether it be the interpretation on life, Thinking “Who’s good, Who’s evil?”, “What does good mean to you, What does evil look like?”
it is unbelievable how life can take its turns without you even realizing or noticing and this drama really does a great job of showing how the human race CAN really “get used” or adapt to other environments and how we as people can manipulate/train our brain to see different living situations, points of views, people, etc. and most importantly how we can actually reveal a whole different side of ourselves that we never knew possible.

so worth the watch
I’m sorry I didn’t watch 9 hours straight of s1 & 2 for there to be no kids scene… there was so much room for it and it would’ve ended so much better with him hugging da jeon at the end but ofc it had to end with the magic of friendship… which I’m all for but come onnnnn I was craving some flavor… 😑😑😑😑😑other than that I loved the storyline and the thriller/ action wasn’t overpowering and I really loved all of the actors and they way they played each role, they really compliment each other. I don’t know why I didn’t find this drama a year ago lol! such an easy fun yet interesting and intense watch all at the same time! Was this review helpful to you?

IMMA SUCKER FOR DARK ROMANCE
absolutely amazing drama highly recommend especially if you’re a sucker for dark romance!!!Story the cast everything was really amazing to watch. It was the most dark suspenseful balanced K drama that I’ve watched in a while. I love the plot and the story development with the romance. It was just the perfect combination everything I love in 1K drama.
One thing I do have to point out that I was disappointed about was the end. We didn’t get any closure to the specific stories with the main characters when they were little.
we only got the flashbacks, and I understood that they were wounded and mentally unwell, but we never got the full story which kind of made me upset
other than that, I think the acting was incredible. I watched it all in one sitting, and there was never a boring scene.
I do love how The main characters vibes both changed at the last episode. They realize that they both love each other, and they realize that they can kill for each other and that really close to their relationship and is very satisfying way, but I do feel that if they were going to love each other that much at the end then I feel like there was some missing development throughout the whole show, since it was only eight episodes, it felt a little rushed, and I wish there was more added scenes solely for their romance and stories
other than that every factor of the show was really great I really enjoyed it. I am a sucker for dark romance and this is exactly the drama that got me out of my slump. Can’t believe I’m only finding the drama now in 2024.
i’ve seen the actor in lovely runner, and the vibe is completely different. I think he’s a brilliant actor and I really liked the dark side of acting. It was very convincing, very satisfying.
overall very good drama highly recommend if you’re a fan of darker mood dramas like me and Thriller/ action, of course.

IMPORTANCE OF LIFE AND SELF VALUE amazing portrayal
Death game is not for the weak, it showed me a very different side of the human species that we do not see portrayed in everyday dramas and movies. It has shown how important our life and memories as well as experiences are equally important and how we take for granted our time with our loved ones and everyone around us.Storyline:
The story line was much deeper than i had expected starting this show without reading any kind of description beforehand, it shows the true meaning of life and death and how we often live life assuming well wake up the next day, Our struggles do not define us and life will never be lived out in a straight line we have to let time and our own actions heal our struggles and difficulties in order to reach the light. That suicide is not harmful to ourselves in a physical way, it was the family members, loved ones, humans around the deceased that were harmed and battling with loneliness and guilt throughout their lives during the aftermath. THEY are the true victims of the crime. Seeking light may not be easy and there are many lessons to be learned in life but as long as we let our bodies and soul continue on this green earth we have to believe and have hope that we WILL end up ok.
Actors:
The cast truly astonished me with the performance of every character, they understood the brief, the story, theme and timeline were very well shown throughout the drama.
Ending/MY THOUGHTS:
Notice how "Death" Gave Choi Yi Jae a second chance at life after he had realized how wronged and ashamed he was to commit and leave his loved ones and life behind, This shows that even in the FACE and "punishment" of "Death" God shows him light and he then gets to truly understand beautiful life is and how much it means to him after trial and error. It was beautifully played out. After living through different bodies of life and going through their experiences he then realized how he himself as a person needs to live on, living as another being even if that meant his own mother, he was not able to truly live as himself. Just as Ji Soo says earlier says in the series, You are not fully living if your not living as your true self. This really, it also makes me think of how hard we human beings try to be happy we can never truly feel full when pretending were ok, we have to genuinely be ok to feel ok. We will never know what will happen in our lives so we must keep riding along if we want to find out. No matter what obstacles we come across we must stay strong with our bodies, with our loved ones anf take pride and be grateful for the light the lord has shown us so far whether that be in the form of health, in the form of accomplishments or in the form of ability and capabilities of our own bodies the lord has made for us. Seeking darkness and being afraid of failure is tiring and will come to haunt us. Self sabotage WILL sabotage us if we LET OURSELVES BELIEVE IT, IF WE LET OURSELVES LIVE IT.
REWATCH VALUE
the only reason i put this point at a 1 star is only because it is a lot to take in and can be hard to process more than once.
CONCLSUIONS
Don't show yourselves only darkness, try to seek light in the face of darkness,
Allows yourselves to feel
To feel free
To feel stressed
To feel happy
To feel loved
To feel brave
To feel relieved
This is what it means to live.
Be there for yourself and for your loved ones
Learn what life is all about and how you want yours to look like.
Don't get caught up in the act of trying to find reasons why you don't deserve to be happy.
Don't get caught up in seeking A THING, you will simply not find it.
Live life with your own PURPOSE
Don't live life looking for one.
You are enough.
You are ALIVE
