The first few episodes were great but such a confused drama
This drama started out well. Some things seemed implausible but can be forgiven cause it's a drama. It was such a promising concept. The cinematography was good and I thought the first 6 episodes were solid. I picked up the novel because when I started only 4 episodes were out. The characters are flawed but well written in the novel, their love and commitment for the family really shines through.
But the last couple of episodes TANKED HARD. This drama had violent moments so it wasn't as if they made changes to make it more palatable to a larger audience. So I don't understand why they took well written characters and stripped them of any originality. The show's writing really failed the viewers. I absolutely detest episode 10. Just make it not exist please. I don't understand the point of it. There is no rhyme or reason to anything that the characters did in that episode. The writing was god awful. After episode 8, it was as if they had plot points set up but didn't know how to get from one to another. The ending was extremely anti climatic. When the credits started rolling my immediate reaction was- "ha? what just happened? it ended? Just like that?"
