Shrimp plays a vey caring family member to Duan Wu , He thinks Zhang fits better than Yanzi for Duan Wu. His explanation was awe for his age. A big shout out to whole TSOPG crew for creating a master piece ,

All major characters ( Yanzi, Duanwu, Shiju, Shiqi) are in Yangzhou to pursue their goal, Yanzi & Duan Wu interaction was heart-wrenching, Lusi once again show case her finest acting skill in this scene along with Lyn. In spite of Yanzi's word Duan Wu decides to stay back in Yangzhou to live well & not to get immersed with her past misery(heart broke).

Vulnerability of Yanzi after hearing his sister's death & a simple hug from Duan Wu calms him down. This is the first turning point that changed Duan Wu's attitude towards Yan Zijing. They have both suffered before so they share a mutual sympathy and understanding.

Here screen writers did a wonderful job. They didn't take narrow minded costume drama route that indulge in female competition, jealousy & etc, Definitely TSOPG stands apart from all those C dramas. Duan Wu with her smartness saved Lady Shiqi (Jade Goddess) hand but also healed her heart. Looking forward - how Lady Shi Qi will walk alongside Duan Wu from the moment she made the decision to follow her.

Lady Shijiu portrayed her vulnerability so well. Thoughtful and deep meaning dialogue " Many people in this world are stuck in misery, yet they don't lift a finger" . Isn't it true for many people. Bravo screen writers ..bravo

Yes..Yes..Duan Wu will protect Yanzi. It's always good to see FL protects ML rather male god protects FL in most of the C dramas, Be in Who rules the world as Bai Feng Xi protecting Lanxi/Hei Feng Xi or Cheng Shaoshang protecting & healing Ling Buyi.Each characters in this episode deserve a big shout out!! Their performance was on top.Good Job TSOPG team for creating the master piece for audiences, Duan wu and Yan zijing's relationship is not love at first sight. It's a process of silently discovering how much they resemble each other through one thing after another, gradually helping each other find redemption. due to their shared experiences growing up, they don't speak of love, but everything they do shows it.

OST and beautiful #zhaolusi's diving seen captures the audiences. Episode 1 sets the stage for the audience and increases the curiosity to watch the next episode. The heart fluttering first encounter between duan wu and zhang jinran is out of the box!!!!!!!!!!

SuMuzhe clearly calls out She & Cui Shijiu are different . She will focus on business not on hate/sword. SuMuzhe affirming that her catering to the common ladies is what she needs to stand out from the noble jewelry houses - highlight of the episode. On a lighter note Kang Ju never failing to rile up and matchmake Ziwu ( Yanzi & DuanWu) . Overall good episode.

"Bridge Scene" & "Welcoming her dead loved ones" to the opening of "Clear Mind" shop scenes were beautifully crafted. TSOPG is so intricately made, it needs a re-watch to appreciate how well and intentionally they shot each frame. Transition to an impending doom or rush of sweetness , viewers are able to see it in a different light, the more they look into it, Once again Zhao Lusi delivers an outstanding performance as Su Muzhe/Duan Wu, portraying her character with such an expressiveness that we as viewers find ourselves emotionally attached to her journey. Must watch episode!!

Zhao Lu Si as Duan Wu acting was marvelous in this episode. She wonderfully connected with audience emoting those feelings of Duan Wu. She once again proving that other dramas are not the competitor here. It is only Lusi and her previous dramas. She is shining brighter than ever in this drama filled with excellent story, cinematography etc. Dialogues/words of wisdom were excellent & meaningful especially with "Desert-dweller". Must watch episode for the people who admire the acting/performance.
