I loved every ill-fated step, every stumble at the gate, every door slammed in the face.
I'm always in a dilemma about how to start writing when everything I say may seem insufficient to express the greatness of a drama. A drama whose complexity and level involves an approach that is almost impossible to edit... there are so many nuances, so many facets, so many striking points that, sometimes, all I can think of are the countless moments in which I found myself moved by its beauty. Therefore, before focusing a little on the story, I must start by saying why I chose to watch it: I love mystery, I love romance, I love criminal investigation, I love daring and I love a good production. This drama has all of this and much more than my meager review property allows. Stunning photography and immersive cinematography in every detail: from the song of a bird, the nakedness of a fruit tree, the croak of a frog, even a drop of sweat. A color palette that deviates from the traditional, but warms you from within, whether in the vibrancy conveyed by the glow of fireworks, the bright gray of sidewalks wet from the rain, or the darkness of a bath in the lake under the moonlight. An alternation that goes from black and white to multifaceted and vibrant colors silences us, on the other hand, it makes our soul scream in scenes of pain, passion and despair. A drama whose metaphors go beyond the figurative sense, being able to use a song instead of a final scene, a look instead of words, a slap instead of a kiss. A “hurt me” instead of “love me” is indeed impressive. A drama that works extremes with mastery. From faithful and touching friendship to extreme humiliation, from gratuitous companionship to irrational public ridicule. From the calm and the ride on a rudimentary boat to the cold torture of an interrogation chair. Intense script, striking dialogues and unforgettable characters give a tender light to what we see here. Zhou Luo is a unique young man. Imperfect in several layers, but full in his convictions. Mature for the age counted in years, immature in the vicissitudes of unilateral love. But bold, persecutive and insistent on his personal desires. This generates disagreements among the public accustomed to admiring a traditional hero. The boldness is above the expected average, above what is permitted, above what is considered normal... I confess, I loved it! And yes, I was saddened by how many people took it so negatively. I guess bursts of youthful passion aren't for everyone. Few understand that this is how emotional maturity is achieved. How else do you achieve fulfillment or learn to live? I loved every ill-fated step, every stumble at the gate, every door slammed in the face. Each true lie and of course the cruel and painful love achieved. I think that the emotional charge of each viewer can make a difference in the evaluation of this masterpiece... what I see differs from what others see, what I feel is far from what others feel. But, on one point, I believe it's easier to agree: Tender Light goes beyond a drama, it's a work of art! I admired the result, but I would have liked more screen time. Even if loose ends are not part of this drama, I would exchange the beautiful music at the end for a long, beautiful tight hug. I recommend it wholeheartedly! Simply exceptional! Was this review helpful to you?

A Wonderful World That Gives Me Chills...
I see so many positive reviews about this drama, and I wonder if there’s something seriously wrong with me...
Unfortunately, I consider this drama below average. A weak, predictable story, a poor copy of countless other Korean productions.
Seriously! I’ve seen so many similar productions that I completely lost interest.
In fact, I watched it based on a recommendation from a friend whose opinion I value a lot. She even told me the plot had a vibe similar to *First Love Hatsukoi* (2022), a Japanese drama that, ultimately, doesn’t resemble this one at all.
Teen love, rivalry between classmates leading to a later romantic development—it doesn’t go much beyond a repetitive theme for me. Without a solid story behind it or a well-structured cast, it’s not even worth trying.
It’s the same thing over and over again—a waste of time.
The only part that I partially enjoyed in these 12 episodes was the period when we followed the young cast or the younger versions of the adults.
Of course, I can’t ignore the total lack of resemblance between the younger and older versions of the characters. Whether in physical appearance, mannerisms, emotional expression, or—worst of all—the famous "chemistry," there was absolutely no common ground between them.
Ju Ji Hoon is a very talented and versatile actor, but this character was laughable. The beautiful, brave, and resilient version of young Seok Ji Won died that rainy day, crying for his beloved while sitting on the stairs on a dark night. What remained for Ju Ji Hoon 18 years later (I believe that’s how long the wait was) was a bland, insecure adult trapped by his father’s expectations and a ridiculous romantic doubt that could have been resolved with a vacation trip or an honest, face-to-face conversation. The impression I got was that instead of maturing as a man, he regressed into a weak, indecisive adult teenager.
As for the ill-fated relationship, with its long years of waiting, I can only think of it as masochism, a lack of better options, or simply having nothing better to do in life.
Jung Yu Mi, as the adult Yun Ji Won, was a poor choice. I won’t even bother commenting on her portrayal of the character’s adult version. Just think about the last episode and her wedding dress choice, with a ridiculously inappropriate veil, and you’ll get an idea of how much value her wardrobe or "persona" received throughout the show.
As for the supporting cast, I’ll abstain from commenting as well, except to highlight the worst character of all—the clown, Kong Mun Su. What a laughable role the young actor agreed to take on. I wonder if a character could be more unnecessary to a plot than this one was.
And in the end, sweet as honey, for the umpteenth time, everything works out—every grudge is forgiven, and villains and heroes leave the poorly staged set hand in hand, crying or smiling, happy as can be. Mission accomplished!
A bed of roses...
I must confess, this wonderful world depicted in the latest Korean rom-coms actually gives me chills...
I didn’t like it, and I don’t recommend it.

Is beautiful!
I ended up looking for the film by coincidence. I was researching the backgrounds of the actors in Antumn’s Concerto when I saw the story of Tiffany Hsu’s marriage to actor Roy Chiu, co-star of her film Man in love/2021.I was curious, since the actress had a very intense love life and her relationships were long. I got to know Roy Chiu a little and loved his cinematic history.
The film was a choice by affinity. Is beautiful!I loved! I found the performance of both protagonists exceptional. He was a spectacle in itself...it's not without reason that he received several awards for the character. Bright!
Great film, Great distraction...although, I was sad with the ending.
Anyway, very beautiful, I recommend it from the bottom of my heart...

O elemento surpresa permanece inalterado. Mas a história esta sendo bem construída. Vale a pena conferir esta evolução.

wonderful
Brilliant!I didn't have high expectations. I started watching because of the actors.
It's impossible not to watch something produced by the talented and wonderful Gong Yoo and the phenomenal Seo Hyun Jin.
But wow!!! I loved it. It went way beyond my expectations.
Impeccable acting, amazing script, perfect OST, and stunning chemistry.
The entire supporting cast was wonderful... the psychopath, my goodness! Excellent performance.
I never thought I would see Gong Yoo so handsome and flawless... I was so impressed that I'm even thinking of rewatching the unforgettable Coffee Prince (2007), by the way, one of my all-time favorite dramas.
Anyway, highly recommended!

I’m ready for the third season.
The first thought I had when I finished watching this second season was that I should rewatch the first one. Not because I had forgotten it, but because of a deep need to revisit certain details addressed here. Not to mention that it has been such a long time... three years! Yes, three years of waiting, but a wait that was absolutely worth it.I read some reviews about the production, the change of director, writer, and so on, but I chose not to dive too deeply into them since, in the overall context, what I saw pleased me enough to overlook any shortcomings.
The criticisms about editing, development, a slow plot, or the lack of relevance of certain characters did not discourage me. Contrary to what many think, I found this season broad and especially profound in its approach to the cases. Undoubtedly faithful and wise in its casting and character development choices, especially Shen Yi.
**"Our boy has grown up!"**
Shen Yi not only elevated his art but also sharpened his mind and expanded his heart immensely. This can be clearly felt in his final dialogue with Du Cheng. Truly remarkable:
*["The two of us are like a compass. If I can draw a large circle, it's because you are the center of the circle. Wherever you go, the circle will follow... Du Cheng, do you know why I love the Beijiang branch so much? Because there will always be someone on the ground doing everything they can to pull me back whenever I want to fly beyond my limits. Without you, I could have been shattered into pieces..."]*
It’s rare to see a plot with such intense and profound dialogues. So much so that, at times, I allowed myself to rewind scenes to fully grasp the reasoning. This is an aspect that doesn’t always appeal to viewers—thinking can be exhausting—and understandably so. However, this is part of the essence of this drama. Perhaps that’s why its investigative approach to evidence is so straightforward. It’s almost comical how, with a mouse click or the press of a button, Li Han uncovers all the case and suspect details, while Rong Yue dissects a body practically in the blink of an eye.
The story alternates between cases, though some intertwine from the beginning to the final episode. The constant presence of the elusive geneticist looms until the very end.
Even though he displeases Shen Yi’s fans, I appreciated his brilliance, though his selfishness and self-deification eroded my admiration. A mad genius, but still mad—completely detrimental to what remains of our humanity.
Fang Kai Yi, Du Cheng, and Shen Yi shape the morphology of the season. Fang Kai Yi tries to bring Shen Yi back, but Du Cheng closes the circuit with all his strength. Between them, Shen Yi emerges glorious, superb, and masterful.
I enjoyed most of the cases, some lighter than others. Though not all deserve glamour, my favorite remains Feng Xiao Wen's—the Beijing Opera artist. Magnificent!
I also greatly enjoyed the story of the blind boy, the cybercafé arsonists, the mountain tour guide, and, of course, the edited embryo.
As for the rest—OST, direction, script, editing, and characters—excellent choices, excellent production.
As someone who knew how to appreciate the show said: *“I’m ready for the third season. Hopefully, it won’t take as long this time.”*
Meanwhile, I plan to rewatch the first season. The ending of this one is hard to digest.
I highly recommend it, and for those who enjoy the genre, two thumbs up!

I say check it out. It's beautiful!
I recently watched Amidst a Snowstorm of Love. Wow, complicated name in English, hahahahaha, sorry, I'm not fluent at all... Anyway, as I told a friend, besides the horror trends, I tend to fall madly in love with stories about older women and younger men. Some of this is due to the fact that men have always matured later in relationships. Prejudice? Yes may be. I call that, life experience. Whatnot. The fact is that I really liked the Snooker drama, but I loved this one. Without wanting to compare both dramas, the focus of which is beside the point at the moment,
Anyway, sorry, it's difficult not to have a minimum of comparison: Both have a sports theme, both have Leo Wu and both have FLs with great references and acting.
Nothing but you, despite being a longer and, in my opinion, more complex drama, and having been filmed in about 7 months, seems to have less recognition among the general public. Meanwhile, Amidst a Snowstorm of Love, although it had participation from other countries and was more successful, was filmed in 3 months. Both have their merits and are well worth checking out.
Nothing but you, although it has more positive points than negative points, I believe that some scenes could be edited and, therefore, reduce the viewing time. 30 episodes would be a good size, without losing its charming essence in any way.
Even though I came here for Leo Wu, I must admit that Zhou Yu Tong was brilliant. A mature, intelligent, independent, strong character and, most of the time, in control of situations. His little display of ingenuity in the final chapters, while criticized by some, was adorable.
Leo Wu, although he has already witnessed his most impressive performances, here he knew how to embody Song San Chuan masterfully. An impeccable athletic body...mercy! I can't let this observation pass 😊, beautiful, it's a fact! But his moments as a rebellious boy, stubbornness and insecurity typical of immaturity, were unique. I confess, I enjoyed each one of them.
Very good supporting cast, although they spent an extended amount of time on the younger sister and her necessary family members. I think it would have been better to have invested more in the story of the other athletes, the nutritionist friend and the coach Zhang Yan.
Anyway, if you have doubts about checking out this drama, I say check it out. It's beautiful!
I will never forget my moments with my son by my side, talking about tennis rules, nor that, in my entire life, I admired this sport so much.

Divertido
Was this review helpful to you?

Love in Between foi um grande achado.
Alguns buracos me incomodaram.

A playful flirtation between the pair, two thumbs up for revenge, and one for love
Whenever I dive into a drama, I always find myself wondering what I should talk about first. The best I saw... or the worst? That’s the question. In the end, I settle on an unconventional mix. Forgive my lack of technique—I’m not much of a writer—but I put a lot of thought into what I read.A fellow MDL reviewer deeply moved me with their evaluation. Their opening line was: "A Shakespearean Genius of a Drama".
There’s no need to share spoilers here, but I’ll leave this as a tip: read their review and let yourself be captivated, just as I was.
I must confess, I couldn’t agree more with their words, including the brilliant Shakespeare quotes they included.
This drama came to life with a flawless cast, a well-adapted screenplay based on a web novel, breathtaking cinematography, solid direction, and electrifying chemistry between the characters. It’s hard not to highlight the latter because, for me, that’s where the heart of the drama lay.
I’m no expert, nor do I claim to understand the art of scriptwriting, but I was a bit surprised to discover that, in the original web novel, the heroine Xue Fang Fei truly dies and is reincarnated as the magistrate’s daughter, Jiang Li, while retaining memories of her past life to fuel her pursuit of revenge.
I don’t know if the decision to keep Jiang Li in Xue Fang Fei’s original body was meant to simplify the story, avoid religious controversy, or was just a creative choice. I only learned about this after finishing the drama. Even so, my opinion of the show remained unchanged. The drama, in its entirety, was a near-perfect delight.
I rooted for the intelligent and resilient heroine, just as I did for her captivating and cunning hero.
Wang Xing Yue, as Duke Su, despite having less screen time than I’d hoped for, was absolutely brilliant in every scene he graced. A man of few words, with a restrained smile, impeccable costumes, and an intense gaze that spoke volumes. He had moments of sheer brilliance in his performance. Every detail was so well-crafted, and his open-field battle scenes were simply mesmerizing.
It’s no wonder he was honored as one of the Young Rising Actors of the Year at the 2024 Weibo Awards.
For those who doubted his chemistry with veteran actress Wu Jin Yan (34 years old), let me just say: his 22 years of pure talent did all the talking.
Together, they were enchanting. Their playful flirtation brought a certain charm to the story where a more explicit romance might have been expected. While some viewers may have been frustrated by this subtlety, I felt it perfectly aligned with the drama’s tone. We knew from the start that this was the kind of romance we’d be getting.
The cultural barriers around age-gap relationships in Asian media still run deep, but Wu Jin Yan, with her elegant and timeless presence, was phenomenal throughout.
I adored her portrayal of Xue Fang Fei and Jiang Li. Her flowing red dress, paired with her graceful and commanding presence, elevated every scene. She brought elegance, wisdom, and emotional strength to her role. Her character’s tragic backstory, noble heart, and sweet smile made her unforgettable. I can’t imagine anyone else bringing this character to life.
I also found myself intrigued by the wicked princess and her cold-hearted “dog.” Despite their fractured souls, they were united by the same poison: the complete absence or loss of love. While they believed they controlled everything and everyone, in truth, they were empty... clinging to illusions. As one reviewer aptly noted, Princess Wan Ning/Li Meng was ultimately just a pawn in the hands of men.
Pain, suffering, and humiliation should never justify cruelty, but at times, my heart couldn’t help but ache for her.
The true villain of the story, Shen Yu Rong, remains a character I can barely define. Was he inherently evil, or did he become corrupted over time? The drama left this unclear. Perhaps the novel delves deeper into his twisted nature, offering a better understanding of his dark origins. Still, I doubt any explanation could justify his actions. Liang Yong Qi’s portrayal of this character, however, was exceptional. It was also a treat to see him guest-star in the second season of Under the Skin.
If I had one critique of the drama, it would be the way it indulged in China’s tradition of crafting overly realistic tragic moments, often at the expense of beloved characters.
The drama could have ended with the triumph of the palace struggle. There was no need to add more pain to the heroes’ journey.
In my opinion, these gratuitous losses didn’t add anything to the final act of a production as remarkable as The Double.
Still, it was a fantastic drama and an absolute joy to watch. I wholeheartedly recommend it to fans of the genre. It truly deserves its place among the best C-dramas of 2024.

Great cast, beautiful characters.
Why complicate it? There are so many beautiful things in simplicity. It took me a long time to watch this drama. I could have had this joy much earlier. But, as the wise saying goes, better late than never. Just joy, romance is fun.
I'm not in the habit of watching Taiwanese dramas. I spent a lot of time just in Koreans. Today, I am grateful for preferring the Chinese and for making my escapes to other Asian countries. It is very gratifying to discover that, despite prejudices, good productions have no nationality.
The Antumn Concerto was a find. I read an analysis here from someone I follow and I was enchanted. I put it on my wish list and it was on hold. If you're reading this, don't be like me. Watch without much delay.
Forget the clichés, the lack of good editing, the countless interruptions during the episodes, absurdly repetitive Ost, among countless other negative reviews you may receive.
This drama deserves a chance for its interesting script, the consistent performances and the emotion we feel throughout the story. I loved the characters and I loved the little boy Xiao Le twice as much. It's a shame that, nowadays, the child actor who played him hasn't pursued his career. On the other hand, it is with great satisfaction that I see the success of the other actors. Mainly Wu Kang Ren, better known as Chris Wu. Totally deserved. Great cast, beautiful characters.
My only reservation is the rushed result. The production deserved a better performance in the final moments.
Anyway, I really liked and recommend.

martial mating” delight!
In episode 35, for a moment, I was completely without action...Static I asked myself: what is this, my God? The climax of this exquisite work was at its peak and my heart broke into pieces... Today, after the 36 traditional episodes and 01 very short special, unfortunately, I can say that this is, without a doubt, a drama of unsettling beauty and uniqueness. Disquieting for the countless sensations it brings to us and unique for its lightness and boldness in dealing with a highly censored topic in China, BL, with such dexterity and charm. If The Untamed was a milestone in my golden world, Word of Honor was a new burst of countless feelings and imaginations. How I wanted more of these two wonderful men! 36 six episodes were not enough to quench my thirst for this “martial mating” delight! Excellent script, impeccable acting, stunning photography! My wallpaper images list thanks you. Ost perfect, beautiful and ravishing. Despite having a multitude of positive points, my only reservation is the excessive number of sects and their little evolution or importance in history. I haven't read the novel, which makes me deeply regret it, since this gap must be amply covered in it. Another lament was the feeling of incompleteness of some characters, whose character lacked greater clarity or definition. An example of this is the beautiful and strange Scorpion King. I wanted to get to know him better. Although I fell deeply in love with Zhou Zishu and Wen Kexing, our adorable couple, I also really liked our second couple, the sweet and beautiful Cao Wei Ning and the adorable and wild Gu Xiang. All the actors, including the main ones, were unknown to me. But they exhausted my heart of emotions in different ways. All in all, a charming, unforgettable drama. I already feel full of longing. Worth every minute of time. Highly recommended! Was this review helpful to you?
Verdadeiramente brilhante!
As atitudes aparentemente intempestivas e birrentas da personagem Shao Shang/Niao Niao me incomodavam.
Adorei!
Recomendo de coração.
