Confusión, Toxicity & Disappointment
I’m actually flabbergasted at the direction this story took.I’m just in shock. FL is dealing with so much and has no self respect nor esteem.
ML is an ass**** who doesn’t deserve her
FL shouldn’t have shaken up the SML world like that if she was going to just leave him.
SML became dependent on FL in such a short space of time because she was nice to him?
Then she chooses to be with the ass**** who thought she wasn’t worth telling the truth to and wasted 8 or12 years of her life with
What exactly is the moral of the story here? Beca we’re both in pain I’m going to let you ruin my life? What an outstanding revelation. I’m definitely not finishing this hogwash.

Wasted Potential
I came here after finishing the last 3 episodes and I'm honestly irate. What was the point of all of that? I can't even tell at this point whether this was supposed to be drama, horror, romance or a comedy. This entire story just felt hasty and confusing. It had so much potential from the first 2 episodes but then somehow although tagging it a romance the FFL was given more scenes with the SML and there were barely any opportunities for chemistry with the FML because they turned his character into a clueless narcissist. It had such a great premise; dealing with mental health, overcoming trauma, the possibility of unexpected love and yet... it all went down the drain.
The only reason I watched it to the end was because I got caught up with other dramas and felt I should finish it because it showed so much promise, and there was also some good acting. But all I got in return was exasperation . I don't know even know how they managed to make every character so unlikeable but somehow they succeeded. Seriously, there was 0 character development.
At the end of everything, I could barely remember anything I liked about this story and that ending was the icing on the spoilt cake; out of nowhere, anti-climatic and completely unrealistic. You can't convince me that their infatuation and single kiss was enough to make them not see other people for 3 years, and pine for each other even though their issues were never resolved? Let's be all the way for real.

A Sleeper Hit!
I LOVED this one! I had some preconceived notions about what such a titled series would be about, but it over-exceeded my expectations. The ML’s acting was just amazing, he’s so versatile! And the FL was sweet, with a touching storyline. Nothing felt unrealistic for me, just human. And I absolutely LOVE the concept of having a company that employs ex-convicts, especially those that are remorseful and want to change their lives for the better. The ML’s vision is so ahead of his time and the gang was just too loveable.
Before I watched it I was on the fence about doing so because I didn’t want to be a part of anything that glamorised being a gangster, but I honestly came out of watching this, a much better and more empathetic person. The acting was top notch, the humour was side-splitting, the romance was riveting, the story was just beautiful and the character development was excellent. I don’t know how they managed to make such common tropes like childhood friendship and first love so exciting and fresh but the did it. And big ups to the supporting cast esp. Jae Soo, they DELIVERED and made this story a classic for me. Kudos to the entire team!
