Leave buried in the desert
The cinematography and production quality is great. The desert landscape is a nice change in scenery. The actors and actresses played their roles really well -- even for characters I didn't like. I enjoyed the relationship between the two leads most of the way.
Biggest turnoff: the second leads. It's hard for me to watch or root for a guy who drugs women to have his way with them -- yeah that makes him a real macho stud (sarcastic). Or a lady that chases after him knowing this. And they had so much screen time! Why do many Asian dramas have two to three romances going on at once. It's like a three ring circus, except you can't just focus on the center ring -- you're forced to watch the side rings with the clowns on unicycles too.
I was pleasantly surprised Alen Fang was a likeable ML, since I had only seen him previously in "A Journey to Love" in a supporting role. Unfortunately, towards the end I started disliking the FL --- a shame because she started out so strong and cool. She just became easily manipulated, made poor choices -- even threatened to kill a horse.
