This drama is emotionally heavy and every episode is heartbreaking. You will cry a lot, it almost does not feel like a movie or like anyone is acting. You can identify yourself with all characters, which is great as the feelings are more relatable-however it does affect you. I actually waited 4 weeks before I watched the last episode, somehow could not bring myself to do it. However, they have ended the drama in a very positive way, which I am satisfied about. If you have watched Misaeng and if you felt it was difficult to watch because of all the injustice and hardships, then this drama has the same type of feeling. You feel bad and very sad for the main characters.

Power to the woman + serious heartache

The idea behind this drama felt quite unique to me. I liked the imagery and the way it was filmed as to make the viewer feel as if they were present in the moment on screen. I liked to see the women in their job at work. All had their own unique love story, and I have to say I fell in love with Song Ga Gyon's character and style. Her love story was definitely the most mysterious one and one which left you longing for more. All actors gorgeous looking and beautifully dressed- kudos to the fashion style team.

I also think it is important to say that this is not a light-heart drama. If you have ever been in a long relationship, being loved and heartbroken, then this drama will hit you hard. It is quite heavy in this sense, with each episode the story evolves and you can truly empathize with the heartache feelings that the actors portray so well. I have found myself numerous time in their shoes, tears hit me hard, almost with each episode. Fortunately the drama ends on a positive and light note - one in which all female triumph both in their careers and in their personal lives.

If you want to understand Age of Youth 2, you need to watch Age of Youth 1, as the story of some of the girls still runs. The actress that played Eun Jae in Age of Youth 1 got replaced, and I didn't like her. Already her character was quite annoying-perhaps that was the idea behind her character, but at least the first actress was cute and childish in a way, whereas the one in Age of Youth 2 was just annoying, thought that she deserved the break-up.

Overall I liked the drama, my favourite character has to be the beautiful and charismatic Song Ji Won, which played so well and she was just so fun to watch. I was also let down by the drama (twice ) as there was huge potential to promote activities which would raise attention towards female violence and rape in a society which usually turns away from these things which are lamentfully seen as shameful. I think they should have involved the girls in societies around the Uni campus but also writing in the Uni magazine about these real life stories that happened to women with the aim of forming a group of people that shared their experiences and gave support to each other. I think considering Korea is nr 1 country for suicidal deaths, they had such a great opportunity to promote thorough this drama different ways how females can seek support (and not just hide it from everyone) after violent attacks and how to be united in cases like this. Most probably the viewers of this drama are mostly girls, so all I have to say is, be safe, be wise and seek support, dont be alone!
