I was highly upset when Chengxu was killed…

I was highly upset when Chengxu was killed off. I skipped episodes 51, 52, 53, and 54. I watched 55 and 56. The 6 episodes were not good at all. I wanted to drop it but after Queen Dowager was still alive, I decided to watch the last two episodes. The perfect ending to this drama would have been if the Queen Dowager died when her son died that her spirit would be with Chengxu spirit until they are reborn. I'm not blaming any of the actors or actresses for this story. I didn't like the way it was told towards the end and I hated the fact that Chengxu was kidnapped and Ming Yu was set up with his brother... for me, her love was not strong enough to go back with Chengxu. This is the writer's fault. I don't know if this was fiction or a true story... I could've given it a really low rating but didn't because I am a fan of Cheng Yi.

This Historical Time Period

The writers had me fooled with this episode! Congratulations. I was about to throw my shoe at the TV. I was getting tired of these dramas in how women were being treated.

wow!

I just skipped this 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, and went to episode 30. If it doesn't get any better then I will drop it. I was very disappointed that Ye Jun Qing was going once again die in the hands' of Ye Hong Yi. I was very disappointed that he was going to be married off once again! I hate this back n forth love story that it is taking me away from the history of this drama. Is this how it was back decades ago. My feelings are not towards any of the actors and actresses, in a matter of fact, I look forward to seeing more from Chen She Yuan, Li Mo Zhi, and Eva Cheng. It is the storyline that is disturbing me. Burning people ALIVE because of the plague when Yao Mo Wan had the cure. I feel this is a repeat of the world we are living through during COVID19. I wonder if that's how leaders are feeling or might do.

Four Stars

I was kind of hesitating whether I should watch this but here I am. It starts well and hopes it will end well. I've always liked the acting abilities of Park Seo Jung and wanted to see him in this type of drama as I loved him in Hwarang. But it wasn't what I thought it was. I did not like the ending! storyline: The storyline has its twists but it is continual in one thought. It's is not so much revenge or avenge but for a person to take responsibility for what one has done. I wished everyone even those in corporate or government to take responsibility for what it is intentional or not intentional. What I love about this is the diversity of actors and how it brings that diversity onto the screen. What I hate the most is discrimination of a person's skin tones, gender, age, disabilities, weight, height, the poor and middle class and religion. The awareness is in this drama! BUT it always comes down to romance in these dramas!

The best episode by far. Although I haven't finished the series yet. I'll just call it The Wedding! The Love the characters have for one another is astonishing!
