Mom and Son moment!
The 2nd movie that I watched with Wallace Chung and I sort of loved this one. The Martial Arts, Fantasy, Visual arts was not a perfect 10 but it was liked. The things I loved about this movie was, of course, is Wallace Chung! The fact that it showed the Mother and Son bond in this piece. I'm a mom of 3 sons so my love for each one and I have a saying "If it took me to save any of my sons in health or life circumstances that I would sacrifice my life for them... I would do it in a heartbeat". I felt this in the story line. I know the movie was released listed in 1976 or here it is 2012 but I am trying to catch up on some of these Chung movies to see if he had passion in acting as he did back when as he did in 2017 " General and I" and so far he does! Don't fool yourselves, I'm not going to be one of those obsessive fans but I love a great movie and movies are not great unless the actor is. I also read where Wallace Chung loves Martial Arts and so do I.Was this review helpful to you?

What was with that Ending!
This drama truly stirred my emotions from start to finish; I found myself with a racing heart and tears streaming down my face by the end. Liu Yuning's performance was exceptional, and I can't imagine anyone else in the role. I recently came across a video suggesting that Wallace Huo might have replaced him through an AI face switch, and I sincerely hope that's not the case. My growing discomfort with Artificial Intelligence applications has led me to believe that this technology poses a threat to our world. I fear it will foster laziness and have a detrimental impact on humanity. On a brighter note, I must commend Liu Yuning for not only his captivating deep voice but also his remarkable musical abilities. I'm unsure if he has undergone martial arts training, but if those action scenes are a result of his acting skills, they certainly appear authentic.I loved the strong woman part, played by Liu Shi Shi (great name) I hope to view more of her work. I can imagine all the wires she had to go through to play this part, flying in the air and all the twists and turns. She is a 10-star actress for me.
The Martial Arts Scenes: I loved how they paused the camera to show their poses in the fight scenes. I wish all dramas did this.
Update: Wallace Huo did NOT replace him. It was a hoax.

The only reason why I rated this an 8 is because of the music. I won't say which songs were off-key. There were two songs that the vocalist was off-key and made the song off! The storyline was great! The cast did an awesome job. Thanking the writers and everyone else who did their part.

Alchemy of Souls Season 2: Light and Shadow

Note: I was chewed out by a newcomer who said all I talk about is the actors and actresses and not the storyline. If I told you the storyline now would that be fair to those who watch it? That's like me telling you the ending. This drama is exceptionally good and for those who love fantasy dramas, this is for you.

Chen Xing Xu was so darn good as the Empyrean Xuan Shang, I don’t know how else to describe him. I love this actor. I almost didn’t recognize who he was until the 2nd episode. To change into 3 different types of personalities and play his original character of a total of 4 personalities was crazy excellent. I fell in love with the Fire character. Lol. Landy Li (Li Guang Ye Tan), her playing this role, and I want to see more of her. This is my second time watching her and really didn’t get her in the first drama. The way she played her character was really good. A lot of emotions I felt. Luke Chen (Chao Feng) and He Xuan Lin (Li Guang Qing Kui), these two, wow, were great, Luke Chen is very handsome and He Xuan Lin she played that very nice and mannered character, she was lovely.
The visuals, fantasy, costumes, graphics, animations, and music are excellent. I thank all the actors and actresses who also played great, I applaud them. Thanking all of the team that made this drama a success for me.

I am so angered!
Why are the writers in China destroy a story in the last episode? OMG! I mean c'mon writers get it together. I watched 40 episodes to not see what I wanted to see. At least you didn't kill them off. But seriously, this is not the first time you all ruined it for me. I will still rate it at a 10 because of Ren Jia Lun and Li Qin. Ren Jia Lun who played Lu Yan and Li Qin who played Yu Deng Deng absolutely played their parts with perfection! I loved the fantasy, the martial art, and the visuals all were done awesomely. Thank you to the team and I hope enough of us complain about giving the fans a great ending. This ludicrous. We are already so many bad things out in the real world, we need to see something positive. Was this review helpful to you?
THIS WAS SO GOOD!
FIRST OF ALL, I love Rain! Everything he does or touches is a 10. Kim Bum is so cute in this drama even when his role called for him to be upset. He did an awesome job being a host! The storyline may be boring to others but it kept me focused that I needed to see the next episodes. I believe that I have a ghost in my living quarters. We do NOT know or understand what happens during the death process. I'm not in a hurry to find that out either. All I know is this was a really good drama and I will be rewatching it.Was this review helpful to you?

I love this ending.
Bai Lu, my favorite Korean actress, consistently impresses with her ability to embody and breathe life into her characters. Her portrayal in this drama is no exception; she effortlessly makes the role her own, delivering a truly believable performance. The intelligence woven into the storyline took me by surprise, and I find myself compelled to rewatch it, eager to catch any nuances I might have missed initially.Zhang Ling He, a relatively new actor with four years under his belt, continues to show remarkable improvement with each project. His depiction of a character with two distinct personalities within the same time period is a testament to his talent. The first episode demands focused attention, and his compelling performance truly stood out. His captivating eyes, a personal weakness of mine, added depth to his character, resonating with my emotions throughout the drama.
This journey was an emotional rollercoaster, evoking tears, smiles, and even prompting me to throw my slipper at the TV in moments of heightened engagement. The stellar cast, comprised of many talented actors, contributed significantly to the overall excellence of the drama. Special thanks to each of them for their dedicated efforts. Kudos to the writers for crafting a compelling narrative, and I'm particularly grateful for the inclusion of martial arts in the storyline. The swordplay was a delightful element that added an extra layer of excitement. It was surprising that Zhang Ling's second persona didn't engage in much martial arts, leaving me yearning for more. Nonetheless, the overall experience was truly worth it.

IMO
This drama had me completely captivated! Despite my usual aversion to scary movies, this one wasn't too intense for me – as long as it didn't involve vampires or zombies, I was on board. Bai Yu, the main lead actor, impressed me with his performance, especially considering his character had no background in martial arts. His portrayal exuded humility, and it marked my first time witnessing his acting prowess. As for the main lead actress, Ni Ni, she was truly remarkable in her role. Even if she isn't well-versed in martial arts, her acting suggested otherwise – she delivered her character with such finesse. I particularly admired her costumes. The set design and the depiction of the world above the parallel world were nothing short of spectacular. The animations were commendable, and I must give Turkey a high five for the excellent execution, earning a solid 10 rating.
The turtle animations bridging the worlds were a personal favorite, and I found myself contemplating if they were linked to those that disappeared. Admittedly, I did close my eyes quite a bit during the intense moments – it's all part of the experience! The ending was perfect, and my gratitude extends to the writers; the music played a significant role in elevating the overall appeal. Just a side note, snakes and spiders are not my favorite either!
