HAD SO MUCH POTENTIAL BUT MEH..
The trailer was so well made that it’s probably the best thing about the series. Such a promising storyline with so much potential but ended up being a huge let down. The cinematography and acting was good but that’s it.
I hated the pacing of the story. Weird and unnecessary plot lines that ended up being half baked. Most characters lacked depth (the Shaman? Samantha?) and there was not much character development of the MCs either- like I literally still know nothing about the serial killer. We get a brief flashback of how it started and a mention about potentially being abandoned but nothing else. So how was he before he started his kills?
It’s great that they included a disabled character who’s also a police officer but does she have to be made that dumb? Like, I can’t even..
There was no build up in the MCs’ love story. One moment she’s curious and attracted to him and then almost suddenly they’re deeply madly in love?? Like what?? How?? Felt very superficial..
So many episodes but so much nonsense and a lot of the important parts that should’ve been explored, just left out.
It’s almost like the main point of the story was the unnecessarily prolonged explicit scenes (which btw does not add anything to the story) and the rest are just fillers.

LOVE IT
I was about to watch Go Ahead earlier this year because of all the great reviews but didn't because of Song Weilong. Personally I just cannot deal with his one wooden expression for everything so I left it and am so glad I did!Because then I can enjoy FbC with AHS who is actually really good and the story (although does feel rushed) is going great for me.
I love the relationship between Haejun and Juwon's father the most. Also enjoying his interactions with Park Dal. I guess I'm a new fan of Bae Hyeon Seong!!
I'm a bit conflicted about Juwon's character. Her younger self was so fiesty, opinionated and just great but they made the older Juwon a bit whiny and princess-y. hmm..
San-Ha's mum: I haven't watched Go Ahead myself and not sure what the ending like is for her. But honestly, I'm praying for all the bad things for her and that San Ha should just abandon her. She's a hateful character who abandoned her children, caused the death of one and blamed the other. Then she abandoned him and came back expecting his apology. Then gets into an accident and expects him to look after her. This is so messed up and out of the world level of narcissism. I would really hate it if they let her "regret things and change her way", a bit too late tbh. She doesn't deserve a redemption arc..
Will update once I finish it.

Hmm.. NO
I loved the first couple episodes because SHIN HYE SUN (obviously, I will watch everything she's in because she's incredible), the cinematography is actually amazing, and to be fair the premise is good. I like that FL is average, just like most of us out there (she's probably being portrayed a bit below average tbf), she's not amazing, a bit broken and struggling. She's also definitely depressed even before the DID came into picture. It has so much potential and the first few episodes brought my hopes right up there. But it's not going good at all. Maybe we'll slowly find out how FL deals with her illness and maybe it will get better but well.. I'm just bringing my hopes back down now.
This drama is just too slow to my liking.. yeah yeah a story about growth bla bla..
Very few things happen in each episodes though..
It hints at a mature adult relationship but their behaviour and actions are all very irrational and dramatic for no reason.
I wish they explore the illness more, and i don't know - like take it more seriously? Is it really DID or a severe form of depression? You don't just says yeah I've got DID and made those mistakes when I was this other person? And then keep pretending to be Hyeri although that was what resulted in the dissociative identity in the first place? And the 2ML just wants to be with the other personality knowing its born out of an illness? ML over-exaggerating his situation and trying to 'protect' FL from the 'troubled life' with him is also absolute nonsense. And then they (FL and ML) just stare out at each other in every single episode for no reason instead of actually talking like real adults.
Honestly, I'd rather she doesn't end up with either MLs and could just be happy being herself (not Hyeri) without either men.
I will keep on watching because, like I said, Shin Hye Sun.
Add on after finishing:
Reduced the rating from 8.0 --> 6.0
The last two episodes was like a completely different drama. Her trauma, depression and dissociative identity was completely cured because she got back with the toxic ML. Throw in a random new issue and that too get solved with a hug, all is happy and well. My god, what a disaster.
Shin Hye Sun did her best but nothing could have made this better when the story itself is a shamble.

Not sure if everyone else watched the same drama because what??
FL isn't really good with expressing emotions, especially romantic ones. She is a badass character when it comes to fighting and defending herself verbally, she is not your typical 'nice and takes sh*t from everyone' kind of female lead which I actually liked. But my god her interaction with the ML was just so bad. There was a scene where they were supposed to be arguing but she just looked playful and confused (or was just pretending to be clueless about why the ML was mad?). It's only in the next scene when the servants talked about 'their big fight' was how I realised it was a fight. There were so many scenes that were supposed to be sweet and them falling in love but I felt like skipping the whole time because the acting were just stiff/terrible.The storyline was all over the place, with this that and everything happening and it's so obvious that it's a low budget drama. I just couldn't watch it anymore when I missed a few days and then suddenly had 10 episodes to watch. It was ok when I had 2 eps to watch daily with nothing else to watch. It's not something I'd actually be curious to know about or care enough to watch how it ends. Definitely not rewatching.
