This drama was recommended to me after I watched Go Go Squid and I have to say that I was really disappointed. The male lead, as mentioned in previous reviews, tries very hard to gain the female lead's attention and love, however only succeeds in episode 32. The road to success is very slow, painstaking, and honestly, there is no plot development throughout the whole thing. There are some ominous hints of betrayal as Luozhi (the female lead's childhood friend) periodically touches base with some kind of evil boss (?), but the whole plot is not very clear and does not contribute much to the overall story. Mostly, the drama filled me with frustration as I hoped that the female lead would get passed her emotions for her deceased boyfriend and embrace the present. Instead, what I wasted my time watching was a series of rejections of sincerity and a complete lack of a desire to reach out for love.

The acting was not absolutely terrible. The female lead was very neutral, emotionless, and robot-like even after she acknowledged her relationship with the male lead, but I feel like the actress is not bad and she just had to stick to the script. I actually felt bad for the actors because the plot was nothing special. The dialogue was of course filled with cliches, making the drama all the more painful to watch, but I could sympathize with some of the character's emotions and some of the scenes were a little empathetic.

Overall, I would not recommend this drama to anyone, unless you really like the male or female leads or have the energy to sift through 40 episodes worth of cliches, absence of human emotion, and rejection (at least until episode 32).
