The wait is all worth it

Just finished watching. I cannot believe it, from the day lusi & zheyuan was announced as the leads, when I was waiting for reuters previews of them filming and now the show is finished and I have watched the whole show. I am very happy, it is all worth it.

I just wanna talk about how Lusi and Zheyuan portrayed their characters greatly. I've been saying & commenting on zheyuan dramas that why he's one of my top chn actor is because he is an 'Effective Actor', he makes sure to convey his character's feelings through the camera. If he's happy we feel it, if he's in love we see it on his face/his nuances, when he's sad we feel his pain. I really like how he cry, actually this might be weird, but I've said it before since Our Secrets, he cries so naturally you know that? Like he's not afraid to show the 'Real' crying face of a man, setting aside his manly features, he cries and we see the character's hurt in his face. He's also an eye candy (oh god), the camera love his face.

And my girl, Zhao Lusi. She did it again. She nailed another great character. I like how Zhi is a mix of timid-quirky girl. The show in the first half let us see the world through the lens of a girl who has enough love to give. She's kind and smart. I love how all through the episodes we get to see that she's a strong person, that she can also protect her loved ones. Lusi gives us the perfect portrayal of the transition that happened to Zhi from being a highschool kid to a lady.

I cannot praise this show enough, the other characters are also great esp Sangyan. The OST is top tier and the script is also good. I wish I could see Lusi & Zheyuan in another drama again because their chemistry is off the roof. They really made a fan's (me) heart really happy. I'm gonna miss them so much🥹 But for now i hope Zhi & Jiaxu is happy in dramaland.

Fluffy and fun romance drama that will make you feel really jealous of what they have

No words. Wonderful and happy watch. I really enjoyed every episodes. Not too abrupt not too draggy. I admit, I really had prejudice over this drama when it was aired cz of the title. I'm really glad I found time to check it out.

Idk just watch it. trust me, I've been watching modern c dramas for the past 4 years, most of them have cliché tropes that I digest, and watch without thinking to much, some I've been questioning alot, but for the sake of knowing it's just a drama I'm not making it a big deal. However in here, for Sweet Teeth, they make it so excellent. I have low expectations but they exceeded them more. It's not the best but I can tell you this drama is something. I really love the story, the flow of each of the cp's stories. I really love dramas who show the emotions of the Male Lead not locking them up to a tsundre cold type that most cdramas have. I love how they wrote ai jing chu's character. Zeng li was also a very different Female Lead among the lists that I've watched, she's not annoying nor assuming type of FL, she knows her boundaries and her worth. I also love the girlmance 🤧 I really wish to have that kind of friendship that lasts until y'all get old. Ma Yi Yi, Wu Ying and their partners' stories we're told very nicely, it wasn't overshadowing the main cp nor making them look like shadows of the leads. I like how the writer showed the side characters' struggles as well.

Most of all I really really love how they don't make nonsense scenes, cz that's really evident with modern cdramas. Those ridiculous scenes that won't ever happen in real life u less as depicted in the drama it was the character's imagination yk?, editing was also good I didn't notice scenes that obviously feels like cut. The styling is also good, it matches the characters really really well.

The casting of this is really nice. The only actors I know from here is Liu Te, Xiao Wen and Xuanyi (tho I haven't seen any of her dramas, I only know her as Rocket Girls and WJSN member). I'm surprised by their acting cz it was so good. They delivered their characters really well. I shocked with xuanyi's acting tho, she's really good. Bi Wen Jun is so handsome, I really love it when he smiles 😭 Their chemistry is overflowing, I also like how they filmed their hugging, cuddling, or kissing scenes cz I'm really tired of seeing actors looking awkward in their romantic scenes, so xuanyi and wen jun thank you for making me happy!

Lastly the OST is TOPNOTCH! Bgm was also good and appropriate. The OSTs suit each of the CPs and they really chose the best songs for the drama.
I reapeat, this is not the best, but I'm telling you guys this will be worth your time!

IT'S WORTH THE WAIT!!!!

It's worth the wait

WOW. Just Wow!
I have been waiting for this drama for months, now i already finished it. I might say all my agonizing days and self restraint to watch this while airing is all worth it. I have watched the movie first before this that's why I am really ecstatic to know there'll be a drama adaptation, and it's Lusi, one of my fave C drama actress who'll be the FL!!!!! Honestly I am expecting a little bit from this, cz it'll be Lusi. And I think it did meet my expectations, they really get the real parts from the movie of course it was on the former parts of the drama. But I did hope they put GSN's dog in the movie, tho i understand that it might be difficult. Also It's funny and very refreshing. FYI we have classes now, I just spoil myself watching dramas to be stress free from all of our school works. AND BECAUSE I AM REALLY WAITING FOR THIS TO BE FULLY SUB UNTIL OUR CLASSES OPENED ㅜㅜ

Plot.
I love the premise. Since I already watched the movie, I know what will come on the first half. Tho, I am really pissed that they cut too many scenes ㅜㅜ It could've help the story telling more understandable. As oppose to people who say the last half ruined the show, I THINK YOU ARE ALL WRONG. It's the plot, and I think what happened with Lu Zheng is a lesson for him, for Lu Jin and GSN. It helped the characters to develop, and that's a good thing. I also like the way things got resolved. Of the 2nd season is true, well I'll be glad. But I just think they should've put this until episode 30, in that way we can all see everyone's future, with no drag or abruptness of the plot .

Characters:
First I have to say i was not bothered by the age gap. It's evident in the show, but they really had chemistry and all of these stereotypes were washed away. They're so cute and I think their partnering here was soooooo good. I love Lusi's acting of course, she's mastering romcoms and I love her for that. She's very lovely, and she's very professional. I like her silly moments in the drama. Next I know many of you will agree that LJ is, if not the best, one of the best CEO's from Drama land, he's really an intelligent businessman you know? Not like other drama ceo's these days who makes silly things just to get the girl. I love his character more by the second half, he proves his love for GSN and his position as the CEO. I am also very thankful for the side characters, to xinjie, zhaodi, and the uncle, for helping the main leads know what they truly feel. They really did a great job supporting the main leads. Unlike other ppls opinion, yeah I don't also like Li Man, but I applaud her for not pushing herself wayyyy too much into Lu Jin's life, by the time she had confirmed LJ true feelings towards GSN, she didn't even bothered them again. Also LJ mom, i considered her good here, yeah she has given GSN a hard time but we all know she's also a mother who wants to protect her child. I like that she is not overreacting in some scenes, unlike other drama mother-in-laws who're really annoying and will even do what it takes to break the Main leads relationship.
I also have to say on the last episode I really feel proud to them, to Lu Jin to GSN, to Lu Zheng, to LJ Mom, to Xinjie and to Zhaodi.

Music
The music is also good, esp. the one that Lusi sang, that's really adorable and it reflects the whole show that's why I love it. I also love the other songs that's why I am on my way searching these songs and putting it all on my playlist

Rewatch Value
I am sure be rewatching this drama maybe, a year from now or months. I'll just have to forget, and then if I lack dramas to watch this is one of the few dramas on my list that I'll be turning into and will be rewatching.

•WE SHOULDN'T BE AFRAID OF FAILURE, BUT BE MORE AFRAID OF THE REGRET WE WILL FEEL IF WE DIDN'T TRY.
•WE SHOULD NOT FEEL SORRY FOR BEING OUR SELVES.
•FAILURE GIVES US BIGGER STEPS TO SUCCEED

these are just some of the things I have learned from this drama, and I am more than happy ?

As you may all see, the plot is very unusual for a cdrama. A comet with a mysterious powers landed to earth brings about wonderful human relationship??? At first i was unsure about this drama, like who will name something very important in their drama like a comet as WTF666??? Are they wasting money for this nonsense? I felt hesitant to watch this, and it stayed so long on my watch list honestly. I admit I am skeptical to dramas before watching, i always make sure reviews are good, it is high rated or in short i have to make sure that I wouldn't waste my time. As a cdrama enthusiast for this whole quarantine period, i have been witnessing the pacing and story development that these silly writers were doing in every dramas that i have watched: meeting of the leads>bickering>falling in love>high dose of swoony scenes> enter ex>either FL or ML will be unreasonable> misunderstandings and 'WTF?!' moments> either: leads end up marrying or just look at each other and leave us up there hanging.

But this drama, you have to see it's really different. I wasn't expecting that drama that i was so hesitant to watch, will make me binge for just 2 Days?! They started off having their own relationships> they met bcs of the comet and their pets> they became competitors on business> they experience break ups, and had no one except each other bcs of their entanglement which is the comet's doing,>became friends>became roommates>fell in love with each other>faced ups and downs in their personal and business life>but finally end up together.

I know many cdrama watchers tend to dislike dramas which only has great first half of episodes and get draggy until the end. But this is really different, the 'draggy' part is on the beginning, but for me it isn't that draggy at all it will make you feel curious why it started differently with them having their own bf and gf, and that curiosity will make you anticipate for the next episodes. Then you will finally understand their whole situation and the importance of WTF666. While watching the drama, i laughed many times, i sympathize with their sorrow, and admire their genuine love and friendship. I can't explain my whole understanding about the lesson of the drama but i feel it in my heart honestly. They carefully made the pacing interesting.

I especially love Miao Yu and Wang Chen so much! I really like their characters. The chemistry they have is overflowing, whenever they have interactions i just feel excited and thrilled. I love their understanding with each other, their respect and the effort they make to fill each of their own and their partner's shortcomings. Their personality truly fit each other. And oh my holy mother earth!! they are wearing matching clothes (not shirts, they wear matching colors and styles!!!) and their bickering as a couple made me envy them very much!!!! ughhhh. I want to label them as the best Cdrama couple that I have ever watched so far!

Even the supporting characters are just equally good.
I really want to emphasize the character development in this drama is on the top. They faced failures whether it's on their relationships, business or attitude. The drama will show how the characters: the main leads and their exes strive to become the best versions of their selves.

The OSTs too! Wow, i really like it and it fits every scenes. The instrumentals helped create the right emotions that every scenes wants to depict.

Unlike other dramas that has its own business story, i love what this drama have shown me. As a business student, i felt motivated and inspired. I actually understand many things from here. I have to thank this drama really!!!

This drama has it's own flaws too, but i just let go of my judgement and watch this freely. But I have to say this drama will be one of my favorites from now on, along side le coup de foudre. This will always have a special place in my heart and like Le Coup de Foudre, will make me remember scenes that made me genuinely happy and thrilled.

I really felt the need to post something here. I've just finished the drama just now, 2:50 AM May, 2020. At first this drama has been pending on my watch list, as I was very reluctant to watch it and take the risk. I can't deny, I have been very affected with the few comments here and some reviews I've read that, this is not that good. I agree, the drama has the typical cdrama plot, it also has it's own number of clichés and cringey stuffs. We can compare this to so many dramas out there that has waaaay better story lines.

And now as I was waiting for other dramas that I really really want to watch, but isn't subbed yet. I tried this, and take a nose dive to see what comes for me. I didn't expected so much, bcs of the prejudice I had in my mind for the show and I know every episode will be predictable. I even knew, Zhang Yujian (from Le Coup de Foudre (which is my number 1 cdrama of all) and Xu Xiao Nuo (from About Is Love).

Xu Xiao Nuo, I have to say I was really annoyed with her character in About Is Love, I always think of her as unreasonable and very loud. I thought in here, I would feel the same with her, but I didn't, thank god I don't want to hate her for every role that she portrays. On the other hand, I didn't expect Yujian had a 180° turn from his role in Le Coup de Foudre, I have to praise him for being Yan Mo there cause I was really moved by him, I think he is a great actor and he really proved that he is versatile. He's character here as Yi Han, probably annoyed many of you, cause of his immature ways of facing problems and temper. I agree, but he really did a good job portraying a struggling and selfish actor. I felt Yi Han's emotions very well, I understood his way of thinking and his full character development for the sake of his wife. At the last 4 episodes honestly I cried whenever it was Yi Han's scene, I felt his sadness there. I even want to hug him right there, cause Yujian really did great.

The plot still had it's flaws, and some of you hated the way it ended. Me too!!!! Like, wtf can't they let another episode for this couple to be happy??? Why did the last 4 episodes made their relationship miserable? But i finally understood it, they were already married, we already saw their life, the ugliness and the joy in it. But I guess, it was really too quick for them and didn't have the time to improve themselves before coming in a serious relationship, and that's what the author gave us. The 2 leads should improve themselves first and fix their personal issues and build their self esteem so that when they comeback with each other, they can face every problems with a better understanding. Idk, that's how I analyze what happened in the last episodes.

The Music is just SO GREAT. I guess what really made me cry throughout the last 4 episodes were the sad songs played. I love both the opening and the exit songs.

I felt unsatisfied with the ending, yet I'm happy that they end up with each other. And I'm very happy that I watched this.

All in all I will give 8.5 stars mainly bcs I love Zhang Yujian as Yi Han and I also love the OSTs.

GUYS IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO WATCH THIS DO NOT HESITATE, TRY IT. I don't know why so many people do not like this drama. If you are too critical and too cynic of a person, You shouldn't watch too much dramas. if these dramas affect your principles in life, then might as well drop this. I know it touches a very sensitive topic and seriously that thing is really disturbing. But i must advice, be ready with dramas like this. I can't say this is really very good, because personally i do have my favorites too. But i cannot deny how this drama differs to the ones i am used to watching; some fluffy, feel good dramas that won't stress you out, some that gives you a right dose of romance and sweetness. I want to give this drama a justice. Inspite of having a really wierd plot, i liked it too because it doesn't follow the trend of a typical idol drama. It depicts a very unusual kind of character, which is in the embodiment of Ling Yi Zhou. OK I KNOW, HE IS CREEPY AND AS YOU SAY 'PSYCHO'. But have you ever considered his past? Being into too much dramas for the past 10 years of my life, i become very understanding of each characters that i watch in dramas, I try to analyze their actions and it's reasons. While watching their actions, i take into account these characters' personality, their background. I cannot blame you for naming him as a psycho, but have it ever occurred to you it's his way of expressing his love? Maybe what happened to his past, his mother leaving him, that is what triggers him to become this obsessive or possessive. He's afraid that this one person (Xia Lin) that he truly cherish the most might leave him again just like his mom. That being said he took the risk and do things that he thought was right. Cause I have said, he lacked motherly love, or plainly the feeling of being loved and reciprocating it to someone (in the general sense). If you payed attention to this drama more, maybe you should have think that this is just a drama. although being fictional, maybe this thing really happens around the world and you just doesn't have an idea about it. I'm not saying stalking, being obsessive, drugging and such are good things. but wtf, seriously? THIS IS A DRAMA, NOT A DOCUMENTARY OR A REALITY SHOW. IF YOU SIGNED UP FOR A LOVEY-DOVEY, LIGHT-HEARTED, FLUFFY, SWEETNESS OVERLOAD DRAMA THAT WILL NOT STRESS YOU OUT YOU WOULD WANT TO PUKE. THEN LADIES AND GENTLEMAN THIS IS NOT FOR YOU.

I like Yi Zhou and Xia Lin sweet scenes the most. I liked how Yo Zhou love Xia Lin (putting possessiveness and obsession aside) that he made those things for her. I like how Xia Lin still strives to achieve her dreams, being an independent girl and how she doesn't take the opportunity of being with Yi zhou to be more famous. This kind of drama is so rare that really gets you into a roller coaster ride, especially in Chinese dramas where plots were just the same as others. I liked how they made Yi Zhou's character that differs him to other male lead CEO's in other dramas. They put something real in his personality, not a copy cat from other dramas.

The supporting characters also gave justice to their roles, i liked how mysterious Wen Li is, and how he handles Feifei. Feifei being a good friend and spicing up Wen Li's character. I think the antagonists are good enough to make things worse for the leads. Many cdramas don't have evil people like what this drama has, and there's also scenes that has gun, drugging, hypnotizing. A very unusual thing for modern c dramas that i have watched as of today. it is tagged as MELODRAMA, HELLO????! wtf are y'all syin'?

The OST was okay, songs that were played were very suitable for each scenes.

I don't want to elaborate the things that i don't like more. cause you can clearly see many of it in this comment section. I'd just like to give another point of view for the drama. Honestly. while I was watching and was enlightened about it's twists and turns, really said to myself. "This drama should have a 'fucked-up' tag". But again i will say I REALLY APPRECIATED THIS AND IT IS FINE TO WATCH THIS. If you want to watch this and see the comments and especially THE REVIEWS ahead, do not mind what other people say. Let YOU be the one who will judge the drama. But if you really do not want to, drop and find what suits your style. As simple as that.

FAMILY= HOME

*might contain spoilers*

I don't want to comment abt the few parts that has been recognized and commonly talked abt by others here, so...

For the positive:
This is a very good family drama. Very well casted and the script is really well made. I really love the depth of each key characters, you can relate to them and feel they are humans too, unlike other dramas that presents characters that has unimaginable actions towards the scenes inside the story. I love ziqiu's story the most, Zhang Xincheng again proved how he is a great actor, and everytime he's on screen i really felt his emotions. I also love the conflicts that reflects the reality of life. I love how they address mental awareness and the importance of the people around a person when he or she struggles with this illness.

However...

I was a bit disappointed with jian jians character, I don't think I saw a part here where I can clearly see her inner thoughts. When lx and hzq started confessing to her and then she started dating lx, i was a bit shocked bcs how come she easily accepted lx confession? I wanna see how she made the decision, or maybe a monologue of her thoughts about the reason why she chose lx, a flashback or realization maybe. after I've seen they were holding hands, i thought wait did i miss something??? it was a bit abrupt for me. Also song wei long is a good actor, but I don't think he performed well here. I mean he embodied lx, but whenever you look at him on screen i felt like there's something missing. Nevertheless, i loved how he's the one who clearly observes the people around him, as he showed the true characters of mingyue and can can.

Their OST is good, will definitely download it. On the other hand, maybe I wont rewatch this, as a watcher I don't really like rewatching dramas and maybe that's bcs.
