This mini-series is okay and I can understand the negative feedback. The acting isn't anything to write home to mom about and the directors wasted a lot of time in the short time they had. The plot of the story - them knowing each other from high school - seemed almost not important. They only talked about it for a few minutes. They could have left that part out and the show wouldn't have been affected at all. This mini is apart of a trilogy and from what I've heard the second installment is better (I'm watching it next and will update further). Now for the meat and potatoes:

What I didn't like about the show:
1. The chemistry between the actors was nonexistent. It's annoying to say so but chemistry is important. Without chemistry between characters, you cant get immersed in the show because it feels like you are watching a high school play.

2. From what I've heard this story is based off a novel. Everyone knows the issues of taking a medium like a novel that has an endless amount of time to go into depth with a storyline -into a medium like a video that is seriously limited. They tried to fit a lot into 4 episodes and I applaud them into trying but I couldn't help but to watch some scenes and feel like they should have been cut out. I wish the producers would have expanded some scenes and cut out some others. 90% of this show is Gun being jealous - which I will talk about next - and those scenes were just cringy and something more interesting could have filled its place.

3. Jealousy. I've enjoyed some jealous scenes a time or two but this show delivered some cringe-worthy scenes. I'm not sure if the lack of chemistry or if it was just his acting style but Gun sounded annoying and needy whenever he got jealous. He would get jealous at someone looking at his manz and then turn into a low-key asshole. I didn't want to have his back because I felt embarrassed for Bar. They would resolve their issues fast since the show was 4 episodes long and t seemed like there was no point of that cringy scene if its resolved 2 mins from then.

4. The actors were okay but I do have the problem with Gun. Win who plays the character Gun is cute bf material but they casted him for a sexy confident Mr. popular type which just didn't fit. Win could be a great actor if they would give him more fitting roles. The show seemed off because he couldn't really carry the lines. Honestly, if they switched his and Folks characters they might have gotten a better product.

What I did like about the show:
1. It's short and cute. It wasn't of the highest of qualities but to give them the benefit of the doubt it was still watchable. It's light-hearted which is nice to watch during a crappy time like this.

2. I have ragged on the acting quite a bit but I do think Folk (plays bar) and some of the other characters have some real potential. I think if Win was casted in a role more suiting for him he could be great.

Whenever I watch a show I keep one question in mind: Is it worth my time? Considering how short the series is I don't think my time was completely wasted. The shows rewatch value is seriously low and it's quite forgettable. Even though the show was short I still couldn't find the motivation to watch it. I had to force myself f to finish it. However, I will be watching the other two installments.

TO WATCH OR NOT TO WATCH: WATCH

Watch it since it's so short but only if you're interested in watching the trilogy!

The show wasn't horrible by any means. My best friend and I watched it together. I think our commentary is what made the show enjoyable to watch. I liked the casting and there were some parts I thought were funny. Probably won't rewatch and if I do then it is for Gong Myung (he's actually Doyoung's brother for any nctzens who were interested). The story was interesting but it really dragged on. If you are looking for a show to watch with your BFF and have a fun night then I recommend this. This show wasn't my favorite but it has potential. I don't feel like my time was wasted watching it.

Land the plane babe

To start off, I love the acting and the music for this show, but my god was I falling asleep. I watched this with one of my best friends and she absolutely loved it. For me, the scenes were drawn out way too much and conflicts were reconciled way too fast. They would have a conflict in one scene, leave, and in the next scene, the other person follows them and have a 30-minute boring conversation. One of my biggest pet peeves is misunderstandings that could be solved with one conversation, but this is somehow worse. You don't get to see them process the conflict or react to it. It just jumps straight into the crying heartfelt scenes that I could not stay awake for. I know there was a plot amongst it somewhere but I cannot tell it to you. They did have some cute scenes and really good side characters so there is hope for a good season two on my end.

I can't rate a lot of shows a 10 but this show deserves an 11. I absolutely enjoyed it and was completely captivated by it. It is 50 episodes which are all about an hour-long but it is definitely worth the time. I binged watched the shit out of this, can ask my best friend she barely saw me while I watched it. I was so sad when I finished it I wanted the story to continue. I know it is based on books but I never read them so I had no idea what this was about going into it and omg the roller coaster this takes you on. The story was so interesting and the casting was amazing. I love Yibo with all my heart and he did amazing in this. The chemistry between the characters is showstopping, you don't even feel like you are watching a fictional tv show you get so invested. Please watch!!!!!

I enjoyed the characters. What I didn't like were the plots. I applaud them on being creative but some of the ideas and plots seemed too odd and somewhat confusing. The relationships were cute but how they came to be was so bizarre it made me question what the writers were thinking. I'm not going to rewatch it. It wasn't my favorite show I would recommend watching an episode or two and see if it is worth your time. There are better Thai dramas on netflix and youtube. If you are in the mood for a really good show I wouldn't recommend this but if you are bored then this might work out for you.

An overall good show. I do want to add a warning, for most of the show its pretty light-hearted but there is a side story that talks about rape. I know some people can't watch things like that because of ptsd so I did want to add that warning before anyone watched it. If you are okay with those topics I do suggest watching this series. There's nothing to write home to mom about but I don't feel like my time was wasted. Some characters seemed annoying until you understood the motive behind their actions. There were some scenes I thought the show could do without but you can say that about almost all shows.
