Neither superb, nor unbearably bad, just an inbetween

After having watched the movie what I have to say is:

It is a nice story.
I did enjoy it as it was intresting and it also has a nice twist at the end.
The thing is that in my opinion, there was something missing(?). I do not know how to describe it with the right words but for me, something more was missing for the movie. Maybe the execution was not what I would it to be, or maybe not.

The acting was decent, neither superb, nor unbearably bad, just an inbetween, though, there were scenes that I would have liked them to have been better.
And I ended up laughing at times because of either the acting or the sfx and cgi. (by the way some sfx were very well bone ;) were he stabed his eyes at th end that got me ;) )

If it was a book I think that I would have had liked it much better than the movie. That is my opinion of course.

Melodrama: 5/10
Mystery: 7/10
Romance: 5/10
Thriller: 7-8/10
Acting: 6-7/10

P.S. :
*I liked the story of the throwbacks more to say the truth
*the sfx gave a nice touch to the movie in my opinion
*I am not that good with romance and melo so I may be wrong there, but I do not think that it was really romantic-romantic as I have seen some romance films before, of course everyone has there own opinion about that, but

!!!!BIG SPOILER!!!! well more like a part of the story but read with caution... :)

by trying to bring your dead girlfriend back to life by killing your family and doing demonic curces as well as a summoning a ritual in vain, just to have your diary cursed and then to have to find the right person to read the entire diary *of course you cannot give it to them to read*, for her to be brought back to life *as the years pass by the way*, is romantic.... then I cannot say otherwise :)

Sorry for the long rant. :/
