Childhood Friends Turn Lovers After 30 Years

A lighthearted and feel-good Kdrama romcom — with a familiar childhood friends to lovers trope. What sets it apart is that it takes them 30 years of friendship to finally confess their feelings — now at the age of 34. The warm, nostalgic friendships between their parents, and other people from their neighborhood add even more heart to the story.

A lighthearted historical rom-com

A LIGHTHEARTED HISTORICAL ROM-COM

I truly enjoyed the drama though I can't deny that they focused more on the political issues than the romance itself. Not so dramatic because it's a rom-com, a lighthearted one.

PS: Cha Eun Woo (he's such a cutie, the prince role really suited him well) is the sole reason why I started watching this whole thing but I ended up not only loving him but the whole show as well. I don't have any problem with Cha Eun Woo's acting, I think he nailed it. :)

This drama will always have a special place in my heart <3

Just like When We Were Young 2018 (Wan Peng's other cdrama), CRUSH has a very special place in my heart. Wan Peng and Lin Yanjun's chemistry is off the charts. Yanjun is my most favorite leading man for Wan Peng now, next is Minghao.

The plot is very unique, not the typical cdrama, They tackled social/psychological issues here since it's tagged as an urban drama. It made us realized that people with disabilities don't need sympathy but they need empathy instead. And that's what Wu Yan did to Nian Qin.

Their romance is not cringed. It's so heartwarming to the point that it gave me goosebumps. I love how caring Nian Qin is to Wu Yan despite him being blind. He's just way too cute.

Lines are very meaningful, it will really touch your heart. The OSTs are aesthetically pleasing to ears (really good music). Yanjun even sang a song for his own drama.

Though this is Yanjun's debut drama, I'm really impressed with his acting skills. He's one of my favorite Chinese actors now. Wan Peng's acting is already great ever since WWWY2018. Btw, she's my most favorite Chinese actress. :)

To be honest, 24 episodes are not enough, I found that the last episode was rushed, some issues suddenly appeared at the very last minute, all squeezed in the last episode without getting proper closure. Nevertheless, I would still give this a 10/10 because it's a masterpiece.

I'm gonna miss them oh so much. Please give them another drama!

Discover the Nomadic Life of Ethnic Kazakhs in Xinjiang

A mini-series about the nomadic life of ethnic Kazakhs in Xinjiang’s Altay region. It features stunning cinematography and breathtaking landscapes. Batay and Wenxiu’s heartwarming romance portrays life, love, and heartbreak.
Note: The series has 8 episodes, and although the first 4 are slow, it becomes more interesting from episode 4 onwards. The male lead, Yu Shi, who plays Batay won my heart, he’s such a hottie✨

A Bittersweet Reunion

Mi Sha and Xing Xing’s heartfelt friendship really touched me. Although they drifted apart, fate brings them back together in an unexpected way as adults. It was kind of bitter sweet — so better prepare some tissues! The romance part was kind of a side story but still good enough to make me fall in love with Mi Sha and Lu Li — they’re soooo cute together!

Came across this Cdrama through a FMV edit on Youtube, found it enthralling, and the male lead, Neo Hou, is very nice-looking so I gave it a shot. And tadaaaa, watching this masterpiece is one of the best decisions I made for my entire drama world.

Overall, I gave it a rating of 10/10 because I just love everything about it It's not only about a romance, but it's also about youth, friendship, family, fulfilling our goals and dreams in life. It gave me the Korean 'Reply' series vibes because the setting is from 1996. I had mixed emotions throughout the drama (in a good way), it's so heartwarming, it made me fell in love, laugh out loud, burst out of tears, most of the episodes gave me a touching feeling, and most importantly, it gave us good moral values and realizations in life.

Acting on point, BGM on point. The BGM gave a very nostalgic ambiance which is very appropriate to the drama's time setting. Acting is superb and pretty convincing that's why I was able to move on tears on touching moments.

Recently I got a little bit stressed from watching Abyss and He's Psychometric (Maybe I'm not just into crimes series, eh? But I love Park Bo Young and Park Jin Young though) So I tried to look for a lighthearted one and by a windfall, I found it on NETFLIX . Thought that the ML and FL endearing so I watched the trailer and finally started to watch it.

I highly recommend this drama to those who would like to take a break from watching intense dramas. It's very light and I didn't get frustrated at all. I just love how loyal Gu Wei Yi's heart to Si Tu Mo's throughout the drama. I'm so into the main leads that I sometimes skipped Fu Pei-Wang Shan moments. (PS: Someone like Gu Wei Yi actually doesn't exist in real life? Hahaha)
