Make your own
I'm so glad that I ignored all the negative ratings and comments and watched this.I don't know how so many people ignored the story when it's really touching. Everyone had their own agenda and amidst all these people, we have our protagonist Kim Min Jae who didn't realize he was being used and fell in love, his' and Kahee's love story is probably the best part of this movie, especially seeing Min Jae's devotion and care, he proved his love with not just words but with his actions as well.
Honestly, every character was important in giving the story substance. Revenge, Politics, Greed, Lust and Love all played their part in giving us a movie with a great story.
I wish people would stop focusing on the soft porn and watch it for the story and acting.
The story still might not be everyone's cup of tea but it's actually not bad as the reviews and comments would have you believe. The only reason I'm writing this review is coz there's just so many negative ones, I hope to convince a few people to watch it and like it like I do. If you still don't like it, then well we all have different tastes anyway hehe. Also, try to watch it with good subtitles, bad subtitles is probably the reason some people didn't get the story.

Don't believe what you read
When I read the reviews on this drama, I thought it wouldn't be worth watching but then it stars Lee Minhyuk and was only 8 episodes, so I thought it wouldn't take much time, so I did. Now, most reviews are about how the drama sucks but if you actually watch the movie, it was really good, the story about how misunderstandings can blind oneβs way of looking at things is really nicely portrayed.I'm sure if it hadn't ended at only 8 episodes, the holes in the plot could have been properly filled. I'd watch it again for the eye candy (makes me superficial I know but...) and the acting...
So instead of believing other people's reviews, I think you should watch for yourself....if you still don't like it, well, then we all have our own preferences ...
Happy watching!!!

Unpopular opinion
So, I don't write a lot of reviews, but this drama had way too many negative reviews, I couldn't resist. Now, JoJo and Hye Young pairing, though many may disagree, made much more sense. I will forever be grateful to the writers for making this into one of the rare dramas where the guy steadfastly and patiently in love with girl finally won her over. I loved their relationship, it was much more stable and mature, the kind of relationship that works in the long run.
The scene where the endgame couple said 'I love you' instead of letting the app ring felt much more genuine, after all machines are algorithm-based while our feelings are unpredictable. You cannot imagine the smile on my face and the tears in my eyes I had when this scene happened coz I was so happy for them. I like that how in the end, although JoJo and HyeYoung will never know, we get to see how many times JoJo's heart fluttered for HyeYoung.
Also, Sun Oh's ending line where he doesn't care if he makes the alarm ring but is just going to trust his feelings and keep on pursuing Yuk Jo, really brought through the message this drama wanted to convey.
In the end, it's all about our choices and feelings.
I really hope the negative reviews don't stop you from watching this drama β₯β₯β₯

A gripping story
So after having it always appearing on my recommendations, I finally decided to watch it and really, I wasn't disappointed. This is going into my recommendations list, ofc 19+ only. Many might think the soft porn part was unnecessary, but it actually kinda played a part in bringing the story and what the actors wanted to convey, to life.
The ending was so heartbreaking, and yet it made me smile coz the king and the general were together with no queen in sight π. I know the king was kinda a pedophile but I really felt his pain when the general said that he never loved him π. I'm sorry but I supported the king's love over the queen's, although I know I shouldn't, with the castration and the grooming him to become his sex slave practically. The scene where the king and the general died showed so much without words.
So even if it's wrong, I loved the ending. I'd like to think they're together in death and that's what they wanted to show with that ending scene.
So, in conclusion, watch it (only if you're 19+ btw) and make your own opinions coz I'm definitely recommending this to people.

This series was a great watch. Although it was a bl that isn't exactly a bl, the storyline was new(at least for me) . Touching the realms of fantasy and virtual reality, this series had drama, comedy and romance, the things you need to make a good movie. It portrayed a very important lesson- 'the package doesn't matter, all you see when you really love a person is the person (not the gender or the body)'.
The series was short and yet it tied up all its loose ends and didn't leave us hanging, although a second season will not be un-welcomed by me, we could find love interests for other guys in the series ??.

One of the best K-dramas I've watched...it has been around 3 years since I watched this and I can still remember most parts, that's how much of an impression it made on me. The first half will make you laugh and the second half will make you cry, and the whole journey will make you smile... The characters, actors, and ost are all amazing....Here I am watching this for yet another time while waiting for Korea to make a second season like China did... Don't know how long it'll take or if it'll even happen but HOPE (the ever present demon) won't let me give up on the idea...

It started really well, I was really invested in the beginning. The revenge plot, the romance that's so close yet so far, an impressive girl to pursue the guy, and the interesting side characters, really gripped my attention in the beginning. However, after a while, Sae Royi and Oh Soo's romance started becoming stagnant, did not move forward at all, the character of Yi Seo in the beginning was cool and independent, but she just became needy and selfish later (although on a side note, she gets the guy so maybe we should aspire to be like her, lol).
What I hated the most was romance part, Sae Royi and Yi Seo didn't even make sense (every boss might as well start marrying their efficient secretaries) . Being grateful and falling in love are very different things but this movie blurred the lines between that. This was the breaking point for me. It might sound silly but to me romance in a story is of importance, not as high as the plot (which was interesting in the beginning but towards the end, I started losing interest) itself but without an attention-grabbing love story, and a lethargic plot, I just decided to drop it but not before watching the last scene so I'd know how it ended.
Not rewatching it, but I loved Park Seo Jun (I firmly believe the character he played was at fault, not the actor)
P. S. You could try watching and form your own opinions, mine might've been a bit biased coz I don't like stories where a new girl succeeds in breaking apart an already established couple.

Your eyes will tear but a smile will be near
The story is not anything new or different but the way it has been portrayed in the movie leaves a deep impression in your heart. If time travel were possible, we'd all have things we want to do over, but this story tells us no matter how hard you try, you cannot change the past, you can only strive to live a better future.
The actors were really good. I feel like I lived through the movie, and the story though not new or unique had its own charm.
Idk why Japan tends to release movies that are sad even when they end on a happy note. I still love them anyway lol. However, I gotta go find a happy drama to watch now hehe.

Let the ratings speak for the headline
Now, some of you may find this drama a waste your time but to each his own and all, I freaking loved it. I'm a fan of fantasy and comedy series and this drama had it all. The romance was a bit lackluster but well, I'm choosing to focus on the comedy aspect. This drama made me laugh from the beginning to the end, everything was so funnily silly or sillily funny, lol. I even got a BL vibe which made it all the more fun for me.The characters were all so endearing, including the villains.
My only complaint is the cliffhanger ending.
Chinese people with more power than us international viewers, please please request for season 2...

Nevertheless
THIS IS A MOVIE. It is probably just me that like my movies to portray things that would rarely happen in real life. If you want something that is closer to reality, go watch documentaries or movies based on real events and stay away from fiction, please. So people in the reviews that are bashing it for being unrealistic, read tags or synopsis first and stop spoiling it for the rest of us.That said, I'm not denying the toxicity of the relationship between the main leads. It is toxic but what most of us failed to notice (judging from the reviews) is how happy they both were when they were with each other, and isn't that what we all look for in a relationship? Happiness.
Maybe it will not be all roses down the road with their relationship and maybe they'll break up, but what touched me the most is the feeling of loving each other despite knowing the realities, the flaws that the other person has, especially Nabi loving Jaeon even when she knows Jaeon is wrong for her. This kind of love is my favourite kind of love to read or watch.
My favorite line from the movie, "LOVE IS NOT ABOUT FINDING THE NICEST PERSON, IT'S ABOUT FINDING THAT ONE SPECIAL PERSON TO YOU". This actually sums up the movie for me. <3<3<3

Since I haven't seen the drama, I have no idea if this was better or worse. To me, the movie was great, the special effects were nothing to squint at, and I loved the actors' portrayal of the story. The only flaw would be the story, but that maybe because they had to fit a lot of episodes (from the drama) into a movie of less than 2 hrs. I'm still confused about the lead's love life π (let's just hope it was the girl he left in the end with and not one of the other two π)I would love a sequel, it might help with the confusion π
