Zombie Kid

4TH EP: Wholly wow. That episode was a major blow to the feels; it’s probably my favorite yet. I don’t even know where to start. There is so much emotion coming from all directions. This episode is the first we start to see the real in the stony-faced, super focused Moon Kang-tae. It is also what I suspect to be the first crack in the obsessive ice princess’ creepy and distanced demeanor. I have so many words right now, but that will be all for today. It’s so fantastic that don’t know if I can wait until next Saturday! It still remains was a definite 5/5 in my book.

The Lady In Red Shoes

2ND EP: I have watched the second episode, and it’s still standing strong! There is more character development and the flashbacks are beginning to be more in depth. I know I shouldn’t be surprised to have so many mood swings while watching after having seen a ton of other dramas, but here I cannot say enough how beautifully this drama is able to capture emotion. I found myself grinning like a child in one moment and have my heart aching in the next. This is only the second episode! Anyways, I will stop rambling. If you are wondering whether or not to give it a try, please do. You will not regret it!

The Boy Who Fed On Nightmares

1ST EP: This drama is what I’ve been waiting for in 2020; it does not hesitate to impress. Having only watched the first episode, I noticed the skillful cinematic elements and the hooking plot. I felt myself wanting more and my mind was spinning with different theories of what is to come. The overall aesthetic of the drama is rather dark and creepy, but not in a negative way. In my opinion, the drama’s look is a mix between “Corpse Bride” and “Hotel del Luna.” The stellar cast speaks for itself; the actors and actresses pull you into their world and keep you on the edge of your seat (or in my case, my bed). Even the child actress was better than I expected! Lastly, when the drama gets emotional, it’s not awkward or cheesy. It’s realistic and connects the characters to the audience. All around, I am very excited for this drama!

Sleeping Witch

3RD EP: Though the second episode strongly focused on Moon Kang-tae’s backstory, the third delved much more into Ko Moon-young’s. In doing so, the setting becomes much more dark and gothic. There is a noticeable growth of tension between the two leads; one relentlessly pushes forward, the other steadily draws back. I enjoyed seeing Kwak Dong Yeon’s cameo as patient Kwon Ki Do. This drama continues to reel me in and keep me entertained!
