My Aug 2024 recommendation challenge
Watch this for my Aug 2024 recommendation challenge by 2.857e-7. For this year's challenge, this is the hardest to watch so far… Not really my cup of tea, if not for the challenge, I already dropped this one from the first 5 episodes.
I quite enjoy the characters' interaction, the human relationship, the intrigue & bickering between each character. That's human interaction overall that makes me hang till the end... But I have zero interest in the business nor do I understand it and even worse nor do I care about it at all...
Enough rampage. Let’s discuss drama…
Story about Su Xiao (SX), a woman who works in a developer company, she works as a cost engineer. The story started from the moment SX lay off by her previous company. There’s a problem in a project in SX previous company, they made SX as the black sheep & got kicked out. Because of that, she got a bad reputation in the industry & got banned by the industry.
Desperate to search for another job, nor does she want to give up the industry, she accepted the offer from Chen Si Min (SM) who’s been asked by SX ex-boyfriend to help her. At first, she doesn’t know what to do at her job and everyone keeps underestimating her. But little by little she proves her value & gains trust from her boss, Wang Yang (WY).
SX hard work really pays off when the big boss in her company, Zhao Xian Kun (XK), sees the value in her & pulls her to the main company. But that just means the bigger problem lurking in… Big company means big problems. So, how will in the end SX manage to go through with all the mess the main company waits for her…?
Ok… That’s pretty much about the story. Now let’s talk about what I like and don’t.
What I like:
+ The human relationship is really interesting. Here we can see how easy it is to trample someone or raise them to the top. We got to see the smart FL, the calculative ML, the interesting CEO. How they manage to solve the problem not only by ABC, but by many other factors, especially human relationship.
+ See how SX manage to handle the sh*t that life threw at her…
What I don’t:
- But I have zero interest in the business nor do I understand it and even worse nor do I care about it at all…
- The shock of the ending, I talk about Wu Hong Mei. I don’t understand this girl at all… It’s like throughout the entire drama she’s one person, doormat if you put the label, and at the end she’s suddenly changed…??? What the heck!!! And above all SX not even wonder about the change in her best friend. It's so obvious & she’s waited for so damn long for her friend to change into this new woman…
- I don’t understand the title. Nothing connected with the ideal city, nor they talk about building a new city… Haha…
Overall if you enjoy the complicated business drama, this is for you. If not, just look for another drama….
