A promising start which plummets quickly to dissapointment
The drama starts of from Na-bi freeing herself from a toxic relationship but little does she know that soon she will enter the same path with Jae-on. Ofcourse we all would've felt butterflies seeing the chemistry between the two main characters when they meet at the start however we also knew what kind of person jae-on was so we wished for him to have a character development. I would say that we didn't really get to see his development fully as he only starts to change in the last episode. This is presented when he finally releases his butterflies after episodes of saying that he will. Butterflies were used as a metaphor of rebirth and change and releasing them meant he is ready to let go of his previous "flings" and his actions such as flirting. Whether he really changes or not is for Na-bi to handle because what went through that girl's head. At the end I would've just wanted her to stay single because Do-hyuk did not deserve her. Jae on literally is such a manipulator I will never forget the way he harshly grabbed Na-bi's hand in the second last episode. Even after having a go at him she still ended up going back to him. The side couples definitely carried the show for me it was so sweet watching them. Overall I think the ending was a big disappointment and the ending of the webtoon was way better. Also Sam Kim's OST was just perfection the butterflies it gave in the first half. Was this review helpful to you?

The drama that makes you question what's around you
First of all the start of this season started of with a strong starting point as I was shocked with the sudden death of gu seok man. The writer did a good job here by making the watcher, once again feel angry seeing how innocent people suffer because of people in power. This starting point made me question who was involved in the death and you feel satisfaction watching the drama unravel what happened. I enjoyed the ending as I though it was quite realistic for example was mr song said you'll see me again which highlights how people in power can bounce back from hindrances in life. It also presented how stubborn and arrogant mr song was because of the way he was so sure that he will meet tae jun and destroy his life. With some political dramas i get confused about what is happeningbut with this one i didn't. Somehow i managed to understand all the storyline links in the drama right till the end. With tae jun being asked to come to the blue house along with the new beginnings of the side characters i do wish there could be a season 3 as it would be interesting to see how tae jun will make the world a better place. I loved the women in this drama and how they subtly touched on sexism in the workplace throughoutthe seasons. There where many aspects if this drama i enjoyed. I would say however, that repetitions if some scenes did annoy me as they seemed out of place but apart from that i would recommendthis to someone that well enjoys politics and mature dramas ofcourse but also someone who wants to watch a drama that is not in a rush as you still enjoy this without having to binge. Overall, one thing this drama did was made me think about how much of this happens in real life. Like what has been purposefully released to the media, what's been hidden and buried, how they are controlling public sentiment and opinion......Was this review helpful to you?

A heart-warming continuation of season 1
Since season 1 ended I was highly anticipating season 2. I think the first season came out at such a great time because it was when I had a break from school, as the coronavirus rates were growing. At that time I waited for each episode with excitement and I had no doubts that I wouldn't love every ep. Without knowing many of us became very attached to this drama. For season 2 I was even more thrilled to watch the episodes and they did not dissapoint. Firstly, I liked how they continued directly from the night of the last episode of season 1 and didn't just skip. Also I don't know if I've just gotten more emotional but nearly every episode touched my heart and made me cry. I am envious of the characters and i wish i am seen to people like i see the characters in this drama. We had an absolute heartbreak with the bidulgi couple but i am glad we saw the hug at the end. Most of our ships sailed. Gomgom couple really caught my eyes this season and ofcoursemy heart melted seeing wintergarden ikjun and songhwa together. Again it was fun watching the side characters. The music was also well done. I am willing to wait for season 3 i do not care how long it takes because i will be there for it. If you haven't watched HP yet i definitely recommend you watch it.Was this review helpful to you?

A drama about a rich family stuck in a golden cage filled with secrets
Firstly, the acting in this drama was great specifically Lee bo-young and kim seo-hyun whose characters carried the show for me. I had previously watched sky castle and a bit of Nobody knows which both starred kim seo-hyun so I was expecting her character to be strong. Knowing her from Sky castle I knew that this drama would be similar to dramas such as sky castle itself, The Penthouse and world of the married. I also thought this had elements of the drama Chip-In which were the interviews of the family. Both Hui-soo and Seo-hyun were characters that showed kindness and power as well characters that showed emotion therefore as a viewer making it easier to like them. As well as these characters, I enjoyed the comedy parts of soon-hye(the mother-in-law) and seeing how she changed because of ji-yongs death. I have to say i was expecting yu-yeon to be a bigger character in the drama and was dissapointed by the lack of her and su hyeon's relationship, like they just ended up getting engaged one day and i really wanted to see an actual insight into the two in the later episodes. The last time we see them i thought it would be a sweet talk between them but it just ended up being yu yeon firing a maid. The first few episodes really had me convinced yu yeon would be big in the plot of the story so i was confused. I think it was very underwhelming finding out who killed ji-yong because they focused so much on the mystery of the night when it wasn't mind blowing and i think they revealed/repeated so much of what happened. For example when jin-ho gets the call about his brother-law getting into an accident. I swear that scene was shown 3 times when it was so unnecessary. I enjoyed the set of the alluring house and the beautiful outfits that they wore. Overall i would say watch it because it does get you hooked but it did let me down towards the ending as it was dragged out.Was this review helpful to you?
