What a gripping movie
Now I saw that someone had given this a rating of 5 and all that I can say is that they must have watched the entire movie through a blindfold. There is no way this could have deserved such an insulting rating especially when I spent so much of my time on the edge of my seat because I knew something was going to happen but I didn’t know just how bad the next few minutes were going to be. Just a word of warning at this point. This is not one for the faint hearted but then again within minutes you realise that this is going to be one bumpy ride. In saying that though don’t be put off because it’s one of the best movies that I’ve seen for quite some time and I have a lot of respect for all those who managed to craft such an amazing tale where not one iota of the story could have been left out without damaging the integrity of the movie.Excellent work and I have to commend the cast and crew for creating such a fascinating tale. Anyone whose hesitating about watching this just do yourself a favour and do it. You won’t be sorry.

Surprisingly Good
To tell you the truth I don’t usually watch a lot of Thai dramas but the synopsis for this one caught my attention and I have to say that up to this point I’ve loved every minute of it. The two leads have been great and their chemistry has been wonderful. Every episode has been able to stand alone as entertaining and absorbing and I’ve never been able to foresee which way the story would go. All in all I’ve got two episodes to go and I can’t wait till they’re out and subbed. Do yourself a favour and have a look. It’s a great story right from the start. Was this review helpful to you?
A True Gem
To be honest I’d passed this by on several occasions but I finally made the decision to watch it and I’m so glad that I did. It’s one of those dramas that you’re sorry to see end, it was a joy right from the very start. The chemistry was lovely, light and flirty in some parts and yet simmering with passion in others but throughout the series it was clear that the ML and FL had a great deal of respect and fondness for each other and it showed. The rest of the cast handled their parts well and the story dipped and rose naturally with nothing feeling forced or out of character. There were emotional highs and lows as well but nothing overwhelmingly traumatic even though there were moments that could have gone either way. All in all I loved it, every part and I truly recommend that you watch it. It was a wonderful journey that put a smile on my face more times than I could count. I hope you enjoy it as much too.Was this review helpful to you?
Surprising Gem
You know to be honest I didn’t think I’d like this series but for some reason the title had me hooked right from the start and wasn’t I surprised. Let’s face it this is not your normal run of the mill drama but it’s definitely engaging and the plot has a depth that in some parts was seriously disturbing. Now this may seem a strange thing to say about a series that I enjoyed but the diverse twists and turns are what kept me enthralled. It’s the darker aspects of the story that could have been taken from the lives of so many talented artists that didn’t manage to find their way through the quagmire that is fame and inevitably they fell victim to the course their lives had taken and the choices they had made. Thankfully it’s not all doom and gloom and some episodes were so farcical that I had to laugh at what was happening. At face value this story might have been nothing more than a crazy ride but the quality of the acting, particularly from the ML Wei Da Xun and the sensitivity he brought to the part made it so much more than what it might have been. Is this a drama for everyone? Probably not but the deeper elements touched on so many areas such as reincarnation, drug use and the importance of staying true to oneself despite what life throws your way kept me thoroughly engaged. All in all it was a pleasant surprise but be prepared the ending is quirky, swift and very unorthodox. Pretty much like the start really. Anyway I hope you enjoy it too.Was this review helpful to you?
What a beautiful epic
I have to admit right from the start I loved this series. Great story, stunning performances by all of the actors involved and chemistry between the leads that was as moving as it was passionate. The costumes were beautiful and the action scenes were virtually nonstop so that to me the pace never faltered. The music was well placed and catchy to the point that I found myself humming it in the car. Would I watch it again? Most definitely. Would I recommend this drama? In a heartbeat, it was just that good. Do yourself a favour and watch it too. You won’t be sorry. Was this review helpful to you?
Riveting
What a brilliant movie from an excellent cast. From the first scene to the last I was enthralled by a story that I just had to keep watching. Roy Chiu is a brilliant actor and once again has put in an impeccable performance. The story was well written and the cast did justice to their characters and the emotional roller coaster that they seemed to ride on an almost daily basis. Personally I found this movie one that I would recommend to anyone who likes their movies with a bit more grit and realism. Yes the romance was heartfelt and the chemistry stunning but you wouldn't expect anything less from actors who have spent many years honing their craft. Well worth watching 10/10Was this review helpful to you?
Phenomenal
Mr Sunshine has gone well beyond a drama to a masterpiece in its own right. I just finished watching it and I have to say it is easily one of the most stunning dramas that I have ever seen. The performances of every actor involved were so evolved that every character came to life in a gripping and heart wrenching manner and yet there were so many times when I found myself smiling and falling in love with even the secondary characters at the way they could still manage to find humour in such difficult times. All in all this was a story of epic proportions and a true epitaph to all those who fought so hard to keep their own national identity and independence. Thank you to all those involved in the making of this wonderful piece and to the fallen and those who continued the fight I salute you. You brought a story that needed to be told not just to the generations of those who followed but to the entire world. Well done.

Wonderful
The Good Bad Mother is one of those rare dramas that captures your heart right from the very start and doesn’t let it go till the final credits are rolling around before your eyes. It virtually covers every emotion, humour, joy, grief, horror and finally deep satisfaction until you feel like you’ve been on a roller coaster but you loved it that much you want to get back on and go through it all over again. It’s a true work of art and everyone involved put their heart and soul into making it the remarkable production that it is. I can’t recommend it more highly so do yourself a favour and watch it 10/10 ♥️💫♥️Was this review helpful to you?
Wonderful
To be honest I’ve seen this drama twice but despite this it’s just as wonderful the second time around. It’s got a great script, stunning music and a cast that nailed it. Evan Lin did a superb job as the ML and I look forward to seeing his performances in the future. I also found that they’d handled vision impairment and autism with a great deal of empathy and understanding and depicted them in a way that showed that a great deal of research had been done prior to filming. All in all it was an exceptional series and well worth watchingWas this review helpful to you?
Lost potential
Gotta admit that I hate these little tiny dramas with a passion especially tiny ones like this with episodes of 5 mins or less. Let’s face it you spend more time loading episodes and dodging ads than you actually do watching the series. Which in this case was a real shame because this drama had the potential of being a good one if it had been shot under the longer format. The cast did well to capture the audience’s attention but let’s face it what can you do with 5 mins. Anyway I watched it and though I was appreciative of what the actors managed to do I can’t say that I want to repeat the experience. Actually if it hadn’t been for the leads and the little boy I’d have given up after episode one but I’m just sorry that they didn’t get the opportunity to show us what they can really do which is a real shameWas this review helpful to you?
What an epic tale
I first saw trailers of this series on another platform and I was intrigued by the storyline but I thought that this was an old series from around the early 2000’s. I was very surprised that it was only released in 2018 because it had that timeless quality about it almost like a fairy tale. Well all things considered it was a tale that had been told many times in the past but this time it had a bit of a twist. It was actually very good and once you start watching it it’s very hard to put down. The FL and ML were brilliant and the other members of the cast did their utmost to weave a spell that was as intriguing as it was entertaining. All in all it was great and I’d highly recommend it. Let’s hope they do a season 2.Was this review helpful to you?
Different but enjoyable
Well I’ve read so many negative comments about this series that I watched it with a great deal of hesitation but I have to admit that I was quite surprised. I feel that the bromance aspect is grossly over exaggerated, maybe compassion and respect would be a better way to describe the interactions between the two ML’s but regardless I did find it absorbing and interesting. The premise is definitely strange but the acting of Lee Tae Min was a pleasant surprise. To me he understood his character well and knew every movement and gesture to bring out the other worldly elements of a man forced to endure what could only be described as a horrifying experience. Matsuda Shota was equally impressive though I do have to admit that I often find that Japanese dramas are a little bit too manic for my taste but that’s just my own observations after watching countless J dramas. I do think there were a few holes in the story at the end but overall I thoroughly enjoyed it. I hope you do too.Was this review helpful to you?
What a Surprise
Saw this and really didn’t have any high expectations but the synopsis intrigued me so I thought I’d give it a go. Right from the start I found the story grabbed me and didn’t let go until the final scene was nothing but a memory. I found the lead actors did a great job and the music throughout was brilliant to the point where I wondered whether the band itself was legit. I’ve watched several idol dramas but this is one of the rare times that the music and story have been well balanced and complementary to the overall drama. Would I recommend this series - definitely. It was thoroughly enjoyable and a pleasant surprise. Top marks everyoneWas this review helpful to you?
What a fun ride
Oh how great was that. I agree with the other reviewers who felt a series was definitely needed. The ending was crying out to be continued so fingers crossed that someone who makes these decisions realises what a fun movie this was. Actually I feel that they were just getting into their characters in the second half and that the possibilities would be endless for a cast who clearly understood the importance of timing so well. Loved every bit of this and I was genuinely sorry when it ended. Please, please please give us more. It'd be well worth it.Was this review helpful to you?
A True Gem
If I could have given this an 11 I would have. Every single member of the cast and crew put their hearts into this series and it shows. The mood changes constantly but they have such a feel for their characters that the unbelievable becomes the plausible and works in flawlessly with a story as heart wrenching as it is humorous. This is a true masterpiece and easily in my top ten dramas of all time which is saying something because I’ve seen hundreds over the years. Do yourself a favour and watch this. Believe me you won’t be sorry 10/10 ♥️💫♥️Was this review helpful to you?
