Don't pay attention to ratings, WATCH THIS NOW.

I finished the drama and I already want to watch it again, so rewatch value is a definite 10. Music is another 10 because seriously all the songs were so good, I'll be listening to them outside the drama as well.

Casting is another definite 10. Appledog HAD to be recasted, season one's Appledog had zero chemistry with the ML and was much older than what the character was supposed to be, so I honestly don't see how some people wanted the cast to stay the same. This drama is true to the novel's portrayals and I think those who rate it low haven't even given it a chance on its own, without wanting it to be a direct sequel.

This is NOT a sequel, it's a spin-off. And if you read the novels, you'll realise that this is actually the main story. GGS1 was based on the third novel, with all the backstory being taken from the first two novels, where DT and Appledog are the main characters.

The chemistry is amazing (I've seen Yitian in another three dramas, but this is his best pairing, by far), the acting is great (the looks of longing will have you melting, I promise you), and the story is so good, you won't find yourself ever getting annoyed. No stupid breakups. No immature characters and petty fighting. Only one fight that was quickly resolved and was perfectly understandable. Great characters overall from both teams, with some growing up involved. Lots of nail biting while watching the fights and some sad moments when things didn't go as planned.

I'm too excited and happy to make this review coherent, but after watching what was the best last episode ever in a cdrama (two favourite couples together side by side), I think I'm allowed some spazzing.

Watch this and forget about season one. You don't need to have watched it before. You could watch it later on its own if you like the universe, like I do. Have an open mind and you'll definitely have fun: Who doesn't like a boy winning his first love after ten whole years. It's the best storyline!

The only reason I'm giving the storyline a lower rating than ten is because they could have explained the teams better, I still have questions about who exactly does what on the team. But I guess it's understandable since they had to change from esports to robotics, the transition couldn't be that smooth. Still, a minor detail, the rest of the story is great and I didn't find myself getting bored at all!
